Hmm nahhh the twist at the end (and anticipating it throughout the film) and the music put the guest above drive in my books! The ending couldn't have been better either!

Having just watched the Guest, I think people can stop making films now as that one clearly just won... It's like they sat down, looked at Drive and thought "how can we make it more badass and better in every single way" Maybe it's just me but damnnn that's a good film!

In the same boat here, cable locks will just slow the thief down by about 5 seconds and D locks are a pain in the ass to carry with you. The hiplock seems like great idea although a bit hipster'ish...

Still amazes me how the French turned about 3-4 tricks into an entire riding "type" You have a bike capable of turning just about any street set up into a playground yet you use it for what's basically 90% flatland tricks Good video but this cookie cutter sh*t needs to stop or the riding won't progress any further...

The whole layout annoyed me so much I gave up halfway through. I did get to the point where it was a single cinematic clip and it looked rad. More riding vids should be made in that ratio!

Watched Transcendence and thought it was really good despite bad reviews. Never been a fan of robots etc but I think they showed a good balance of good/bad arguments for it. Maybe could have been better but would still recommend it. Also, Tracks was really good but check out the trailer as it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Based on a pretty amazing true story though!

Is that one of those things that follows you around? If so, how does it know where you are? Do you have to have some kind of wireless gadget on you? Oh and is there anything to stop it from flying into a tree etc whilst it's doing it? Sorry for all the questions, pretty curious! ha

The thing is - it isn't... It's just doing old BMX tricks and trying to get away with doing something new. Sure Danny Mac started all that but for the most part, he took stuff like footjam whips and adapted them to trials, like the 360 footjam whip drops etc. There was a time in BMX when the pros realised they could enter a MTB comp, do a safe run consisting of their average tricks and win a load of cash. Those guys got ripped to shreds, bit like the idiots riding those rocker things atm if anyone follows BMX. This is basically the same thing, glorified park rats riding "trials"...

Same again though - really old BMX trick and it was probably the highlight of the whole video.

Want to see where this kind of "street trials" will be a few years from now? About the same place as BMX was 5-6 years ago... Not saying you shouldn't ride like that but you're not really pushing the sport if you're just doing out of date BMX tricks on what pretty much is a 24" BMX. Danny Mac had the right idea when he started linking trials with some rolling lines and making street riding interesting. This is just park riding, there's nothing trialsy about it. Feel like I'm moaning/talking crap but do people not think the same thing? EDIT: This video sums my point up even better, the riding is probably better even though it's from 2008 or something. I'd even go as far as saying he does more trials than anyone in the other video.

That's fair enough, I still struggle to imagine how a bike like that would be comfortable for commuting though - seems like you'd top it out way too easy!

Funny enough he used to ride trials a good few years ago! Geared trials bikes were before my time I'm afraid What's the set up like then?

Not sure if this has been discussed on here before but a friend of mine is after a bike which he describes as something for cruising that he can still do a few "things" on. Having failed to convince him it's either one or the other (he rides BMX so in my head it makes sense for him to have a 2nd bike just for commuting) he's considering a 26" Inspired and sticking gears on it... My initial thoughts were that it's a ridiculous idea, with a 22t on the front even a 12t cog on the back would still be pretty useless for riding around and any higher gears would just be unnecessary. But saying that, I've got no real experience so I thought I'd try and get some advice here. Has anyone done something like this?

I'm shit at bikes, I've broken everything there is to break twice. Saying that, I have no idea how this happened, it's been like that for a while I think, felt loose for a few weeks now. I rebuilt my wheels today and couldn't believe it when I saw it...

Bought this hub knowing I would be able to replace any part of it except the shell. So what did I break...
