  1. haha that requires planning though! We will have to ride during the week i think luke n tht want to ride during the week instead of today you see.... what you up to int week? I might make a post more than two hours before the ride!
  2. Yer i think a few of us are riding felixstowe today, i know me n luke and max are but i think luke is on a mission asking a few more people. Anyone fancy it?
  3. and simon might be happy! oh my god what would happen then
  4. chill out mate, i gave you an honest answer then had a joke. What's wrong with that?
  5. Hydraulic brakes are supposed to run hydraulic oil , mineral oil in this case. Please don't be a fool, just pay a few quid and get some proper stuff so it doesn't leek and you don't have to re bleed it every friggin week. Ask any proper mechanic what you should do, if necessary go into you local bike shop and query them.
  6. get a new one or put new bearings in, thats what i did, well actually i didn't its what i planned to do, i took it out re greased it spun it round slightly and problem solved ( temporarily) isn't that hard take half hour or so. Get a new headset though if you have the cash for one. Onza's eh, who'd have 'em?
  7. anyone fancy meeting me and max at colchester north station at about 10 to five? If not i will ring Steve and ask him where you all are...
  8. damn right duracell bunny steve! haha i reckon i will come out i think max might if he is free, who knows?!
  9. if she has a grand take a look at bianchi and scott and stay away from halfords go to a little independent shop where in general they will help you MUCH more and fit the bike exactly to her and probably have good after service. Thats what i would do.
  10. sorry if it's been mentioned but is in aylsebury?(sp?) I was there riding this week whilst at a training course, and one of the places looks really similar? Just wondered really, didn't see anyone while i was out and wondered if there were trials riders.
  11. Dan, by any chance does she go by the name nightsky?
  12. mountain bike geometry is at its best when the seat is up high anyway the same height or higher than the bars. I have a scott YZ which is supposed to be a sort of jump bike and i have a medium which in the scott range is a 18", its alright for jumping about on and when i wack the sea up it's alright for distances. You will be surprised how easy distances are once you get going. So yer, basically have a ride about on it and if it feels right, go for it. Pretty much reiterating but felt like posting
  13. Just wondered who is going to the sprite urban games tomorrow or sunday or if anyone went today how was it? I think it should be a great day, heat-wave possible last thing i heard (H)
  14. yer i agree, and also its surprising how much you can actually do in the darkroom. It's a lot more difficult i would say = more fun! So photoshop isn't everything. It feels more like your own photo when you have taken it and developed and printed and fannied on with it. You can obv scan 35mm prints onto a comp. as well which is quite cool. Places like tesco and some other shops actually develop films and scan them onto CD for you for a few quid- something to bear in mind!
  15. I TOTALLY agree i take much better photographs on my 35mm, i started off with a digital and it didn't really help. I just shot away, delete, delete keep etc. etc. whereas i respected that on a film camera i was paying for it to be developed and only had 36 exposures. Plus i loved the creativeness of the darkroom, and i think i m in fact getting my own dark room, i can't wait! Seriously once i tried film i loved it. Start off on film- thats my advice. Photography doesn't have to be REALLY expensive. I have got a praktica (about 30 quid off ebay with flash, bag and lenses) and i have got an f55. That was only about 100 off ebay. Anyway, thats my advice
