I'd never heard of him until I found this video. I don't know if he competes but I know he does demos and stuff. Another good video of his is the one below, and it's more bike trialsy than the first one http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FozZELPyJME

I know this a bicycle trials forum, and not a motorbike one but I thought you chaps might appreciate this anyway. The only way I can explain this is that he's the Ali C of motorcycle trials. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9FCPm-7kWDA

07 Onza T-Pro Echo Control 26" Onza Genesis Onza Zoot Maybe a 2010 Onza Blade soon? Not too spectacular really
-
I suppose to make it beefy enough for trials use you'd need to have the same weight in gussets and strength increasing features that you saved by hacking off a leg
-
Hmm. That wheelie at 1:47! But what about literally making a trials fixie... popping a fixed sprocket in place of your freewheel on an actual trials bike? I'd try it myself but i don't have the resources nor skill to properly test it

I can't remember where but i remember seeing an MTB with one fork leg and chain/seatstays on one side... I don't think it ws just an old apollo yhat had been butchered or anything, i think it was a legit thing. Could that be a thing in the future?

Thanks, but I'm still intrigued by the idea of fixie trials

Sorry if there is already a thread on this topic but I was sat doing nothing earlier and just started thinking about the future of trials. Although i haven't been doing it for long and don't really know about it's evolution up to now i couldn't help thinking about where it might be in 5, 10 maybe even 50 years. Please correct me if I'm wrong (i'm sure yo would anyway ) but from what i gather, trials started on modded BMXs, hence the name "mod," then it spread to 26"s, and then 24"s came in at some point recently. Manufacturers are already producing super light weight parts out of carbon fiber, and are experimenting with frames too, but what about the idea of parts being 3D printed with internal honeycomb-like structures inside? It would be super strong and light weight and you might end up with a bike lighter than your helmet nearly . Will the entry level bikes (like the onza rip/bird etc...) be full carbon in the future? What about "brakeless revolution mk2" where people are riding trials on fixed gear bikes? Nobody thought brakeless would work until someone gave it a proper go, now BANG! It's a legit sector of trials. What will trialsy world records be like in the future, for example highest sidehop, hook, bunny hop or up to front? It's the same with the motos (although the majority of you chaps won't care ) Will they have all carbon frames and be electric? Like big Osets? Will a bike go from weighing 80-odd kilos to half the weight of the rider? A link to something that made me think about fixie trials: All i can say is that i really don't know what'll happen in the future. What do you guys think?

I love this thread so much.

You could probably get in touch with inspired and they'd hook you up as they seem nice enough?

^^ As above the one above

The same happened to my dad a while ago on a white triumph speed triple with an exhaust can the size of a paint can, so you can probably guess it is flippin' loud, so much so you could prolably hear it half a mile away! He was wearing a white helmet, gloves and boots too. Mental. Here's a pic of the can:

Nice one I'll do that as soon as I get home from having a play on my trials moto

Where abouts? On the bb splines I assume? Edit: I've also noticed the non-drive side crank doesn't go all the way down the splined section of the bb? Is that an issue or not?
-
Hi, I've got a silly question that has been bugging me. I have an onza genesis, and it developed a creaky bottom bracket area. After a while it became necessary to change the bb, but after I did it continued creaking. Then I changed the cranks, freewheel and pedals, but still it creaks. I now have a zoot that I put a full crankset on, and to my surprise it creaked. It was all completely new trialtech and tryall bits too, so no flimsy rubbish. My question: Does anybody else get this? I will be riding down my street, creaking with every pedal stroke and I get horrible thoughts that it is just going to snap or something stupid. How can I stop this? Am I fitting it all wrong? Could I have a detailed step by step so I can compare my method to yours? Any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance, Joe.

Ergonomics, bike size, bigger Canadian

Seems pretty sound How good are the rear pads? I'd say one of the most important things about a trials bike is proper functioning brakes. Any offs due to brake slippage put you right off. Might be worth popping a grind on the rear too if you haven't already. Have fun -

Oh, you mean the freewheel is on the cranks? One of the novelties of trials when you get your first bike -
I ordered some yesterday I'll hopefully have them by tuesday

Here's a pic of the bent tensioner. I'd have thought the bolt would have bent, not the main body.
-
That's how I should have explained it
-
I had to shorten some hoses yesterday and I thought it was quite simple- just hold the hose with your middle, ring and pinky fingers, then hold the barbed fitting like a nail between your thumb and pointer finger. Then just give it a tap with a hammer, and sorted. Or maybe I've just got "dem skills" Edit: wow, I'm terrible at explaining things.
-
Finished! Well, actually I need some new chain tensioners (the massive gusset ones) as I'm currently running one as the other has bent. Do trialtech ones have a tendency to bend??
-
Maybe there's supposed to be a deeper meaning behind the ending

I had the exact same problem and had never thought of checking tarty, but when I did I saw these beauties and was mesmerised Plus we'll be glove buddies

I bought these for Christmas, yet to have them arrive though. They look nice and should be decent quality too. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/gloves/jitsie_airtime_gloves/c39p12019.html
