As I understand it , a bench test is conducted under ideal , controlled conditions , whereas field testing is more realistic , simulating average user conditions . That said , I only know these concepts from firearm calibration .
-
I think a "Trick " is a maneuver that has no useful application in competition , whereas " Tecniniques " are useful trials moves , that can be applied to clearing a section . Streety , spinny trials = tricks , UCI = Techniques .

DC and Vans sneakers for daily wear , cheapo flexy sneakers for pedal grip , happy and fun .
-
As I understand it , Hope actually PREFER to recieve complete wheel , as opposed to just the hub itself .
-
Well , there never was a T-F video comp 2005 , so I'll just call this Best Vid of the year . Incredible spinnyness going on ... :turned:
-
Avoid getting much further down than 1cm from the welds , but any amount you remove will invalidate the frame's warranty .
-
Half - link chain was so strong , all the stress was transferred to the crank ? :D Kidding , sucks about the Tensiles , purchased in the U.S or U.K ? Either way , contact supplier with photos / reciepts explaining situation and hope for a swift response . Hope you weren't injured when they failed ?

Big file , bigger riding ! Rafal Kumorowski's warmup / training is incredible :D . Great to see Mr. Hermance in action , too despite that horrific V-Racing colour scheme . 10 pallet sidehop at 10:53 by Benito Ros , too . What level is this ? I'm presuming it's a / the Worlds 2005 , given the attendance of Belaey , Hermance et al ? Shame about the slow motion sequences at the end , the video quality suffers . Certainly worth the ( slow ) download , I'll be keeping this .

Couldn't resist capturing the irony for posterity and ridicule . Of all the places to offer saddles , Trials forum is not it : That said , I'm one of the few here who does still use a saddle , outrageously unfashionable in these days of super low and long bikes .
-
Great photography , damn my cheapo camera and sloppy riding skills ! This one in particular ... ...is brilliantly done .
-
I'm guessing that I'm unfashionable by not suggesting Try-All, Zoo etc . My vote goes to Woodman's Wide and Wil 740mm as illustrated in link below . Light , not flexy and hey , black = t3h coolness. :D

You may also wish to avoid ignoring an ominous creaking from the front end of the bike , then going " guess I'll practice endohopping..." :D Famous last words .
-
Aww , congratulations dude , beautiful bicycle . Czar Ivan for me next , too .
-
Nopogo rarely diisapoints , and this was another corker . Well filmed and edited , with outstanding riding .

That's right , though some readers on T-F may be concerned only with trials , and not realise the concept has adorned Shimano's top range for a year or so now . The external BB concept is tried and tested , but it remains to see whether Echo's version of it is well manufactured , and can withstand sustained trials abuse . Gotta be said though , they look pretty neat and I'd be surprise if Deng & Co haven't tested it exhaustively . I'll definately go for it ( in blue , of course ) if I read favourable reports on here .

Welcome back , the soles of these shoes ... ... seem to have more profile than most tyres I know ! (Y) Nice bike , dude .
-
I'd be more concerned with the recovery of the stolen bike , myself . (Y) Have you reported the theft , and given descriptions of the thieves and bicycle ?

Well written , helpful review . I'm now considering this in prefference to Onza's Ronnie .

Base Ta26 Any Good ?
Endohopper replied to stock trials the real sport's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I'm very fond of mine , although they're largely overlooked in favour of super low and long frames these days . The TA 26 still represents excellent value for money , and is resonably light , once the supplied bashplate has been discarded . It has a super short back end , making this more of a streety , spinny bike , and is very obedient on the back wheel . -
My favourite trials clip has to be " Sub Ponte ." It's by a fairly unknown rider , and has no soundtrack , focusing instead on precision and super smoothness . It's a refreshing change from overedited , in yer face " extreme" videos . An absolute must see .
-
The pictured bike may be ugly indeed , but a very talented Pro called Ian Drummond rode that thing for a long time , and very effectively , too . It's clearly a streety kinda short bike , ideally suited to hoppy , spinny tricks , and it's interesting to see something different to these long 'n low frames that currently dominate the market .

Similar , but more hard wearing sticks are manufactured by Aerotech . Used by professional performance artists , jugglers etc . Programmable light pulses , waterproof , can withstand shocks etc .
-
Any ideas about the tensioner shown on page 2 of this topic , Adam ? Pretty intrigued .
-
Erm...pretty colours aside , well done . My concern is with the wheel , these are often worn down , especially by very tight chains , leaving a groove in which the chain becomes trapped . Replace the guide with a conventional jockey wheel . That said , I doubt your product design examiner will have overly insightful critiques from a rider's perspective . The Zoo ! logo ? That falls somewhere between corporate a**e kissing , and overly wishful thinking . Hope you get decent grades .

Allright , perhaps not the most awesome rad extreme video , but it's comp footage after all , so he's playing safe by avoiding big , flashy moves . Incidentally , why can't we have attractive female spotters at our competitions ?
