  1. Bikedock do offer very friendly warranty service , although as stated above , this may take some time . Took about a full month to replace my fractured Base frame , but they did send it to Holland for me . The original manufacturer will have to inspect your bars either way , and Bikedock themselves admitted that the fastest warranty turnaround is to send to manufacturer straightaway . Good luck with it , hope you weren't injured when the bars failed .
  2. Well , Hope's unit is long tried and tested , whereas I suspect not a single rider in the U.K has yet fitted / ridden a new Echo headset . That said , the Echo seems to be very well designed , and it's blue would be a perfect finishing touch to my Base .
  3. Very tantalising , can't wait for the finished article . Very well filmed & edited , and absurd speed off the server too . Nopogo never fails to please .
  4. It seems that what was considered a "trick" or stunt back then , is actually necessary to negotiate a high level competition section nowadays .

Damn you and your fancy camera and awesome riding skillzorzz . Sorry , great pictures well timed and focused , too . Did this rider : ... actually get up that out of the hook ? (Y)
  6. Great that these prices have been reduced , and it was already well established that Tartybikes offer great service , so I was dissapionted not to see the chain tensioner that adorns this beauty : I'm presuming that given that the rest of the componentry is Echo stuff , this tensioner would be among the new goodies stocked by Tartybikes . IS the tensioner Echo ? Do Tartybikes intend to stock this ?
  7. Very funny . The problem is , if you were to replicate that skate scene , but with a person as a trials bike , it may look incredibly homosexual .
  8. For what it's worth , Shimano's UN52 ain't too bad , I ran one for well over a year , but ultimately Octalink / ISIS offers greater strength at a lower weight .
  9. Thanks for the clarification and link concerning the Double rim , Fatmike . Interesting project .
  10. Quote : " ...The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place..." Christ , that's terrifying . It would be almost impossible to inflict worse damage deliberately . I expect neither rider nor occupants ever really knew what happened .
  11. Congratulations on a relaxed , well edited video . I'll never understand how someone can alternate seemingly effortlessly between stock and mod . Great riding , large gaps too .
  12. Neat photos , makes me want to travel to the U.K again , be grateful such a large trials scene . is this... ...The idea I read somewhere on here about lacing 2 rims onto one hub ? Seems to be working pretty well .
  13. It would seem that Woodman ' s frames are not suited to daily street riding , but are more competition frames , hence light weight , but poor life expectancy . As far as I'm concerned , their componentry is outstanding especially handlebars , but frames I'm uncertain about .
  14. Great idea , especially given the lack of 2005's video comp , although the "curb" videos were very entertaining . Can't wait to see the entries .
  15. That IOLO video , how terribly pleasant and good natured , makes a nice difference to the hardcore urban death metal ferocity some videos offer us . Loving the drilling on that front rim . (Y)
  16. Neat photos , I'm now jealous of that camera AND riding skills . Incidentally , these white rims ... ...look really cool . Bought as such , or painted / sprayed ?
  17. Why bother with dustcaps at all unless you frequently ride in mud ? Besides , think of the weight saving .
  18. That's like , totally awesome , 'n stuff ...Dumb assed yanks .
  19. When using this technique , I often find it helpful to load up my pedal against the locked back brake , then explosively release this at the moment I take off .
  20. I expect you mean ... THIS BIKE ...Yeah , it's a repainted XTP , basically current World Champion colours ,sold as the " XTP R . "
  21. Of the 2 , I'd go for Base's TA26 . OK , they're clearly unpopular in thes days of ultra-hip long , low and silver machines , but for the money , it represents great value . The frame is somewhat short , making it ideally suited to street / spinny / hoppy riding and is reasonably light , once the supplied bashplate has been discarded . Image is partially to show a basic build up , and partially 'cause I can't resist an opportunity to show off (Y) . They are available from THIS SHOP .
  22. Neat pictures , folks ... (Y) Very neat photo .
  23. Congratulations , she's a beauty . Nothing like shiny fresh out of the box components in matching colours . Now go ride it and earn some scratches .
  24. Not quite as l33t as many posted here , but suits me fine .
  25. Most of my adult life has been spent working as a bicycle technician . Since I moved back to to Holland 4 years ago , I've been working for various bike shops / manufacturers , but the dream ticket would be a trials -specific shop , the chances of this happening in Holland however , are 0.000002 % . I'm certain that most serious trials riders have pretty impressive technical insight , as many " proper" bike shops , good with conventional bicycles will still look strangely at our saddleless , Singlespeed bikes . It's a great line of business to be in , unfortunately it doesn't mean that my bike is adorned with Chris King / Middleburn etc . Yet... (Y)
