  1. Sad sad news. Again my thoughts go out to his mother, family and friends. Just goes to show that cars are inherantly dangerous things. One of those things that shows you should live your life while you can as you never know what is in store. Rest In Peace
  2. My thoughts go out to all who knew him, especially his family and close friends.

  4. Cheers guys, tonight i will mostly be getting drunk yay. half way to 50 is a bit scary though!
  5. Nope, only when it's something distateful like making jokes about someone who has died.
  6. Hmm, so because I took offence to your post, and gave you a warn, I'm all of a sudden a maniac, cold blooded warmunger. Right.
  7. Now lets hope you die (along with your young child and his friend) in a way we can all make jokes about. Have a warn.
  8. I dabble in a bit of climbing every once in a while. Mainly climbed in the peaks at stanage, and burbage. Also been to horseshoe quarry for some sport. I prefer bouldering though as i'm scared of heights. Been to Fontainbleau two years running, tis an absolutely awesome place, routes for all abilities so whether your a complete novice, or a beast you can all climb together. Also done a little climbing in malta, which has very different rock and is really good for deep water soloing. Managed to miss out climbing this summer due to a dodgy ankle. I have a destinct dislike to indoor climbing, have been about 4 times, would rather do nothing than climb indoors!
  9. There is a very large difference between a few misspelled words and a complete lack of effort. Yes your dyslexic, oh no, the world isn't going to bend over backwards because of it. It will mean you, yes i said you! will have to put that bit more effort in when it comes to writing and spelling to get at least a bit closer to a somewhat comprehensible post. I used to be absolutely shocking at spelling and no doubt if i'd taken the test would have been labelled as being dyslexic, instead i worked my ass off at getting better and used every aid available to help me learn, including horror or horrors a spell checker, there really good as you get fed up with seeing the same misspelt word time and time again when you get it wrong so you actually learn spelling pretty damn quickly if you type much at all. Stop taking the easy route and waving your dyslexia around like it gives you an excuse for being a lazy b*****d. Oh and it is highly unlikely that you aren't older than me. Finally, if you don't like the rules then quite simply put fcuk off to the mbuk forum and have fun with the rest of the plebs.
  10. a 3500 may struggle a bit with those cards. I currently have a 7800gt running in my X2 3800 (2GHz) with 2GB ram system, which is nice and balanced. You'll find that only the most recent games are written for dual core CPUs, however having a dual core helps as the windows tasks are handled by one core leaving the other fully dedicated to the game. That said, if you only run minimal stuff in the background when gaming that single core should hold up ok so long as you don't try to run SLi or crossfire.
  11. Either of theose boards in a single config will be quite a lot better than your current card. Another thing to remember is that those are both monster cards in terms of power requirements, the ati's especially, so you'll need something approaching a 700W PSU if you want to run SLi or crossfire, exactly how much will depend on how many other things like hard drives etc you have in there. What CPU and mem have you got btw? as they are likely to limit the cards your talking about in dual card modes, unless its something pretty damn powerful on the cpu front and at least 2gig of mem.
  12. I hope it was him that sent it in to get the money, else someone otherwise someone made a quick buck off him!
  13. Unlucky Mike. I'd like to think the court would see how unlucky it is and give you 5 points instead, then leave you one more mistake, however when was the last time you head of a courte being nice! Think one of my tyres is on the verge, will get it checked asap, as i'd prefer to pay money towards new tyres than on a fine!
  14. I'd always go for a 17 and I'm 5"11 with pretty normal proportions. If you've got long legs and a short body then get a smaller frame than your leg size might dictate and run the saddle quite high, as frames are scaled proportionally and so a larger frame would end up too long in the top tube length.
  15. I'd definately say go for the slightly heavier reign if you do any sort of freeride or dh, there absolutely awesome bikes for a bit of everything.
  16. The guy i sit next to at work rides 40 miles a day on a fixie. Very good for training etc and for making you pedal smoothly. He runs a front brake and has no problems with stopping, no more than any other road bike. You learn to slow your legs down to brake, means lots of control etc. Make sure the frame you get has adjustment so you can get a good chain tension as you need to keep it tight to prevent it falling off.
  17. Between the tape (DH biking film) 8.5/10 The trailer was sooo good that it made too hard to follow. Still a really good film, will have to watch it a few more times to fully appreciate it no doubt.
  18. Thankyou Mr Munny, and don't be soo cheeky else i'll just drive up to chesterfield by my self
  19. And there the last thing for me to sort out, will have a pair of single ply minions on as soon as i can afford them after france.
  20. Looks much better than the MR O. What shock's that? Fox DHX3? Will be an absolute beast, my mate got one about 6 months ago and absolutely loves it, no good for going remotely uphill on, but a blast for gravity assisted trails.

  23. Well the inevitable happened and i spent yet more money on my bike, and so it now has a shiney set of rock shox pike 426 coils and lovely they are too Running them at 120mm travel as thats made the handling even faster and will try them at 100 at the NPS 4X at the weekend. Really love em, soo much nicer ride than the old dropoffs, more sensitive and quicker damping Soo stiff even compared to the bolt through dropoffs. Sorry about the shitty camera phone quality pics
  24. Giant Reign X? Very nice, I'm currently contemplating loosing the long travel frame on mine and going for something a little shorter, either a reign x or a transition bottlerocket. Will see how i feel after a week in the alps though.
