  1. Well, it Just doesn't look like a +40 adaptor. Nothing wrong with 203 discs just think that 180 is enough. Enough for me anyways.
  2. Get rid of the Avid Adaptor and buy this one instead (the 203mm rear version). The washers shouldn't really be there. Oh and from the pic you posted, there's no way that this is a 203mm adaptor for the rear! Such an Adaptor should be a +40mm one (unless the frame is +20).
  3. Again. I might be mistaken but you should run another adaptor on the rear brake and get rid of the spacers between the adaptor and the caliper. Oh and I don't think you'll need a 203mm disc. Seeing how my Trialzone with Jitsie pads performs on a 180mm rotor, there's no need for a bigger one on your 4 pot brake.
  4. Really seems like it. I understand you though. I often switch parts for no reason as well.
  5. Yeah. Pretty much like the single wall front rim just wider. I wonder why they don't sell them solo.
  6. Fits as well if you use a 20'' wheel.
  7. Well that remains to be seen. The new Hopes haven't been around for enough time to see whether they are better than the Kings.
  8. DT Swiss has a single speed hub. Don't know about the engagements though. The profile with its 204 engagement points is prone to break under trials use. There's just not enough material left for a pawl to sit or am I mistaken?
  9. Well, Shimano bolts have washers just like the hope bolts, so there's never a bolt directly screwed onto the caliper. I was referring to the correct length of the bolts. If they are too short to be using that many washers, the can crack.
  10. Not saying that they're wrong, just not needed. Question is whether the bolts are long enough with that many washers but they do look like the ones Avid uses so it should be fine.
  11. I didn't know that Hope used those Avid type washers with the caliper screws. Pretty certain that they aren't necessary.
  12. Has been out there for quite a while. There seems to be at least a single wall rear rim in 24''.
  13. I said one of the few. Not the only one.
  14. Well, it's one of the few videos where a 20'' looks cool to me.
  15. It's really worth checking out his channel. Since he's got that camera worth 8000€ those slomos are the shit!
  16. It doesn't make a difference but it's commonly referred to as +20. I was actually meaning the "the brake is +20".
  17. Because he had some problems with the GEMA.
  18. Damn! I really like your riding. If that's how you ride now, how was your riding before the long break? I also really like the looks of your bike. If I'm not mistaken the geo is a little "old school" (really don't know as I've just started with trials) but it looks so damn cool!
  19. More like the fork is +20 or am I mistaken? Just let me understand. 1. You have an International Standard fork. 2. Your Saint brake is a Post Mount brake that is too far to the left when mounted? If that's so you could either use shims in between the IS->PM Adaptor or these (Hope) or these (Syntace) in between the hub and the disc. And why can't you run your front brake? Just because it's a +20 fork? If that's the case, get a Shimano adaptor (the 160mm version) and it'll fit. p.s.: There's no flex whatsoever from using shims in between the fork and the adaptor. Hope has been using these shims for ages on their No.3 and No.5 calipers. You could really try to explain things a little more detailed. It's kinda hard to understand your posts or is it just me?
  20. A caliper? Various. I know of three cases excluding my Zee (same as Saint 820) that broke after a months use. Never heard of 810 calipers braking though so they might be sturdier.
  21. I really don't know. The new Saint levers aren't a beauty either. I think Hope wins the beauty contest by far. What I don't know is whether the Sram brakes, just like the new Saints/Zees, will brake easily. The calipers do look a bit weak. Also, pad play is an issue (at least for me) when it comes to non Trials specific brakes and I guess that the Sram will be equal to the Saints. I WANT HOPES WITH SERVO WAVE!
  22. Back to dual Disc thanks to a 175mm rotor on the rear. Echo Trialzone by niconj, on Flickr Echo Trialzone² by niconj, on Flickr
