  1. Great stuff dude! Most of that riding is still very tech and not amazingly easy (in my eyes) for a lot of riders, so fair play dude!

    Clean 001

AMAZING! The lines Ali was pulling off were insane! Awesome riding throughout from everybody! Congrats Mark, tidy edit, epic
  3. I've been playing with stems all week... seems an 80mm with 8deg rise feels great! Bearing in mind I'm quite short and I don't like the look (and probably wouldn't like the feel) of a super high-rise stem
  4. Link to the brake pads... Stem is a little low, I've got a 90mm 8deg rise stem coming, see what it feels like! The chain tensioner is fine for now, had it years, does the job! Thanks for the comments lads
  5. Cheers dude! They are amazing! The BB5 disc is better than any hydraulic disc I've tried and pretty much any V brake with THOSE pads will bite better than my Magura ever did! That was the thinking behind running a V brake, I simply can't be bothered with Magura's anymore! Plus Mr. Rowan Johns swears by V's now
  6. Cheers! Once I get any good on it I'll try and get a video together, yeah
  7. Since Tarty had these frame/fork/headset combos for such little money, I decided to get one - hoping to revive my riding! My Ashton Justice wasn't inspiring me anymore! So, here it is! Thanks to John Shrewsbury for giving me his old Sun rims and thanks to Andy Ponting for building my wheels... in bed, apparently Ashton/DB Effect frame and fork, FSA Orbit MX headset (the FSA PIG headset that comes with the frame is decent, but uses open bearings, I preferred sealed!). Truvativ bars, Syncros stem (need a longer one though, probably 80mm), Avid BB5 front disc, Deore rear V brake (with Plasmatic BMX pads I got from eBay, Avid SD5 on its way), SD7 levers, Middleburn RS7 cranks w/ Pro Trials bashguard, FSA DH BB 73x128 w/ spacer, KMC chain, 20t/16t, Gusset static tensioner, Rhyno Lite rims, Hope Pro 2 and XC hubs, Schwalbe Crazy Bob tyres (amazing for the money), Kenda tubes, DMR rim tape, Sapim/Halo spokes/nipples, standard seat post from eBay, Charge Bikes seat (love it!), QR for the seat tube (frame comes with a standard allen key one), Wellgo V12 copies (sealed)... and some cable I'm looking forward to riding way more this year Photos taken on my 7D with my new flashes and Cactus V5 transceivers First time playing with any kind of lighting! Hi-res photos will be added to my Facebook!
  8. I use QuickTime Pro to bolt all the photos my GoPro took together. I set the camera to take a photo every 2 seconds - you end up with over 1000 photos. QuickTime lets you export the 'image sequence' as a QuickTime movie. That movie can then be imported into Final Cut Pro where you can do any colour correction etc
  9. Great video, always wanted to do a bike build timelapse! With the whole HD thing, best way to do it (if you can) is take a photo every 2 seconds or so with a DSLR or even GoPro, bolt all the photos together in QuickTime Pro (not sure of any other software that stitches together photos to make a video) then export as a QuickTime movie - you can export as 720p or 1080p. Hey presto, an HD timelapse video, thats how I do mine
  10. Thanks for taking the time to make it, but I literally couldn't watch it. Because of the rolling shutter these cameras use (my GoPro cameras are guilty of it too) you get the motion blur because you were moving too much... speeding it up will make this worse. Some advice I would give would be to only use the helmet camera for short clips. Mount it to your frame looking at the chain or pedals. You can set the camera up on a small tripod and get different angles for videos shot on a better camera for example... make sure the camera isn't pointing at bright light (sky, sun) as the exposure settings automatically close the iris so you can't see what's going on in the video clips it records. Hopefully what I've said helps and makes sense
  11. OK, here's a video I've put together of the few clips I got on the Sunday, it was a great weekend! Huge thanks to Ian Drummond and co for all the hard work they put in! Hopefully loads more riders will turn up at the next one, well worth the trip! I also set my GoPro up to do a little timelapse of the Sunday too...
  12. More of this dude! Its great you got a new computer too I've so gotta get myself a 24"... my Ashton well and truly annoyed me this weekend and constantly feels stagnant so I'm going to have to really consider my options... I have 50p to spend What was the music? Thanks mate
  13. Thanks for all the great comments guys! Glad you all enjoyed it - and for many different reasons too Ben mate you have an amazing style of video making and riding, both of which are always enjoyable to watch dude!! You have nothing to feel inadequate about! Theo, basically I used my GoPro HD in Timelapse mode. You set it to take a photo every 2,5,10,30 or 60 seconds. I use QuickTime Pro to bolt the photos together then you export as a QuickTime movie in the codec you're editing in. That way I can just import it into Final Cut Pro and use it in the editing, making any colour or brightness corrections if need be... hope that makes sense
  14. OK, this video has been a few months in the making! It was shot in Porthcawl, Bristol and Portsmouth and shows off the 2011 Inspired Element bike - available from Tarty Bikes and the MPORA link. Also, here's some arty shots we got on the Porthcawl seafront when the sun was beaming!
  15. Naa the Saracen X-Tort was a monocoque frame, weighed bugger all from memory
  16. Mate that was brilliant!! So much quality riding and the visual quality was spot on too! More of the same please x
  17. Some great bits of Hobbsie, R.I.P. dude!
  18. Ride in memory of DJ. Portsmouth 2008.
