  1. I think it has a seat because its THE thing to do, although its fair enough not everybody will agree Looks epic! Well done to Dave, Ali, Danny, John and everybody else involved! Love the rear dropouts, super tidy!
  2. New Trials website/blog launched today - http://www.farnham-trials.co.uk - mainly setup for the local riders around the Farnham/Aldershot/Farnborough/Woking areas etc, but its also designed to hopefully meet new riders we've not ridden with before! Anybody is welcome to follow the blog as well as our tweets - @farnhamtrials - as well as pop down for a session. We'll be tweeting if we're heading out anywhere. Simon will hate it , because its a Tumblr blog with an inferior template, but its like this so that any of the riders can update it with photos or iPhone video etc - amazingly simple back-end. In a way its kind of reminiscent of all the trials websites riders used to run back in the day, showcasing their local scene and riding spots! Hope you like it! Jonny
  3. Posting this on behalf of Joe Hodges One video, two parts... PART 1 PART 2
  4. Cheers mate I'll have a fiddle, with the brake, that is
  5. Jack just let me know that he had two bikes stolen last night, his lovely new Ashton/DB and BMC st01. I told him I'd spread the word, so look out for them if you can people on eBay and alike! Utter untsĀ©! I'm sure you know what the bikes look like, but here's two links Jack shared... http://bit.ly/bBtsNG & http://bit.ly/a4YWey Jonny.
  6. Cheers lads! I've ridden on it for about 20mins, I know they need to bed in, but was just curious. I'll leave the linear cable for the time being and see how it goes, I have good expectations for this brake lol
  7. I've just installed a front Avid BB7 (185mm rotor) on my Ashton, but at the moment its incredibly spongey! I'm using an Avid SD7 lever. I've heard that using a Linear brake cable helps out loads (Si Sagar can vouch for this for BMX's he used etc), can anybody on here say they've used a linear cable on their Trials bike? I feel I may also need to use a spacer or something for the caliper as it seems a tad wonky looking downwards on the brake... although having said this, surely when you loosen the bolts, put the brake on and tighten the bolts up during installation is meant to get the caliper's position just right? Any advice would be much appreciated! Jonny.
  8. Woop new bike Wicked! So need to sort my Ashton out!
  9. Just watching this on the iPlayer now, I feel rubbish as I didn't know he had passed away! Terrible! I captured a grab from the iPlayer of 3 riders at his funeral procession... R.I.P.
  10. Quality video dude! Great riding, good times I know you wanted criticism, there's nothing to criticise lol (from our chat we had in Bristol today lol)
  11. Change of plan for me, my 7D isn't insured yet and frankly I don't fancy having anything happen to it this early on. My Ashton also isn't really in a fit state to ride on anything, so I'm taking the decision to miss this one lads, apologies. Sign of the times, FML
  12. Just an 18-200mm at the moment, cash is exhausted now lol
  13. Im guessing usual, so 11am at the big steps next to Temple Meads station
  14. I may pop up actually, need to test my new 7D and GoPro HD out, wont be riding Trials, my Ashton needs new brakes etc lol I'll be parking at yours IF there is space.
  15. Only kidding lol, cheers for the comments lads!
  16. Here's a video I've put together made up entirely of timelapse sequences - essentially LOTS of photos taken at 3 second intervals then bolted together in QuickTime Pro, then edited. There are two sequences shot on the Porthcawl seafront. It was shot when I drove up to Wales for Gavin Bedford's funeral, the video is dedicated to him, Rest In Peace Gav X X
  17. Awesome dude! Well done! Really good advert too, I think it had more substance to it than the Passat ad Danny did (although that was great too!) Much deserved after your brakeless vid... although this was shot BEFORE your video came out, so even more kudos! Think Ali is riding a prototype 26" Inspired at the moment isn't he?
  18. Probably the hardest thing to do during the DVD making process is getting the music, best of luck G mate, I find MySpace quite long-winded at the moment so hopefully something presents itself!
  19. Hi everybody, I've edited the first post to include details of Gavin's funeral next Wednesday. Thanks, Jonny x
  20. Brilliant video lads! A lot of effort went into that, great stuff! Good riding too, loving the Ashton's!
  21. It wasn't Chainspotting lol, it was Getta Grip Superb video, shot entirely on a Canon 550D DSLR from what I understand from speaking to Rowan, epic work Only 250,000 views as of this post, not that many then
  22. R.I.P. Gavin Bedford, you will be sorely missed! An utter legend!

Please see the News thread for more :-(

  23. I regret to inform the Trials community, that sadly Gavin passed away today. He went peacefully and was not in pain. Truly sad, sad news. I didn't know Gavin very well, but he was always enthusiastic the few times I spoke to him! Please leave any condolence messages, his family, close friends and buddies will no doubt he deeply touched by then! Another rider lost, I have no words Jonny x
  24. Just been on the phone with John Shrewsbury and he's been with Gav for the past day or so at his bed side and his injuries are pretty horrific. They're basically just trying to get as many people to go and see him, talk to him and try and get some reaction from him. Doctors have said that the sooner he starts moving the better - he's still on life support! So if you live near Gav or you're not to far away and have a few hours to spare this weekend please go and see him, it would mean the world to his family and everybody around him. Martin Hawyes was on holiday and has left early to fly back to go and see him, Martyn Ashton travelled the entire length of the country (pretty much) to go and see him after a demo he was doing, so the support has been out of this world so far - his parents had no idea he had so many mates and knew so many people! I'll keep this thread as updated as possible, I should hear from John again in a day or so! Jonny x
