  1. Just had a call from John Shrewsbury to say that they are doing some tests on Gavin at the moment to see if he can come off of his breathing equipment, so fingers crossed he can start breathing on his own! Much love and thoughts to his family and friends again! Jonny x

News item now up, thanks guys!

  3. Hi again everyone, OK I just got off the phone from John Shrewsbury. Gavin's funeral has now been arranged for Wednesday 30th June at All Saint's Church in Porthcawl @ 2pm. Gavin is then going to be buried at Jubilee Gardens Graveyard @ 3pm. Followed by a funeral reception where everybody can mingle, have some drinks and reflect on Gavin's life @ 3.30pm - this is being held at Grove Golf Club. Directions Here is the church on Google Maps - LINK The nearest post code for SatNav's I could find for All Saint's Church was for Porthcawl Library, which is directly next to the church - CF36 3AG Post code for Jubilee Gardens Graveyard - CF36 5TB - This is a couple of roundabouts or so down the road from the church, on the A4229 (Pyle Road), will be on your right-hand-side coming from the church. Google Maps - LINK Post code for the Grove Golf Club - CF33 4RP - Again, just down the road from Jubilee Gardens. Google Maps - LINK Dress code As Gavin was always a bright and bubbly character who loved surfing, it is requested that anybody who wishes to come is to wear casual (but smart-ish) clothes - standard dark clothing just will not reflect the kind of person Gav was! So feel free to wear an Animal shirt or alike, your best pair of jeans, surf shorts or alike, flip flops, your best pair of Etnies or what have you! Everybody wants to give Gav the BEST send off possible and this will only help with doing so! Many thanks and Gavin's family, close friends and buddies hope to see as many of you there as possible! Jonny x
  4. EASILY the best riding video I think I've ever seen! I've got a massive amount of respect for Ali, the guy has SO much skill and amazing style, completely gobsmacked by that! I'd love to see Danny Mac and Chris Akrigg try some of those lines! Massive kudos Ali and Mark! Flow flow flow! The only tiny tiny thing that I felt let it down were the titles, thats it! AWESOME Really? I thought you have done all the Tarty Bikes video guides?
  5. Looks wicked! Great work Dave! John the photos on your profile look good, I wonder which two amazing people took them
  6. Loving the new website! HUGE step forward over the previous design, great work Dave!
  7. Thanks guys! Erm it was last Wednesday (I think lol), I arrived about 1.30pm and was there until 5pm I think, the place was pretty dead!
  8. Thanks for the comments lads! Not sure if Jack's seen the video, he's in Italy at the moment I think! LOL @ that photo!
  9. Here's a chilled out video of when I filmed Jack Meek testing out his new Onza Zoot up at Adrenalin Alley Skate Park in Corby. The lighting in the skate park is really bad, so instead of trying to colour correct and grade the footage to death, I went with black and white instead! I think it looks OK, its the first video that I've released that has been fully in black and white. Shot on my Sony HVR-A1E (getting old now, needs replacing), I also used my Glidecam 4000 Pro and a Century 0.3x Ultra Fisheye Adaptor. Cut on FCP 6. MUSIC... Bonobo 1009 Black Sands © 2010 Ninja Tune Any comments welcome! Was liking the look of the Zoot, wish it had vertical dropouts, though.
  10. Added some Memorial Ride photos on Facebook :-)

  11. My words exactly! Gonna be epic, see you all shortly!
  12. BBC Weather is stating 23 degrees for tomorrow, tha tha tha tha SCORCHIO! </Fast Show> So yes, should be brilliant, better put some sun lotion on people! Very much looking forward to it
  13. Ben mate, this bloody better get released haha, looks epic, superb footage from the looks of things!!
  14. Really looking forward to Sunday, first big ride I've been on for many months! Filmage required by me lol
  15. We'll be coming to the Sunday ride, as its the main one! Martyn Ashton is interested in a ride report for the Trials pages of MBUK, so hopefully there will be somebody with a decent SLR camera to get some snaps! Or if there's loads of great photos and enough wording I can't see why they couldn't make a full article about it?!
  16. I'll be there, hopefully Samwell will be too, as well as Andy Goss, Rich Swales, basically local Farnham riders

    New Hs33 Brake

Don't like those new designs lol, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Bring back Racelines!
  18. Like I said on Bookface mate, brilliant video, fun times throughout and some decent riding!
  19. Hi dude, the frame is 16", seat post is 450mm I think and I'm about 5ft 7. I wanted a long one just to give me options I guess!
  20. Decided to build a kinda budget XC rig for this year as I wanna get fitter and also I fancied a change to JUST riding Trials! I think I managed to build it all for about £450... this wasn't including the forks, headset and seat as I had these already. Frame and tyres from All Terrain Cycles, very cheap, brilliant service! Bars, stem, grips, Kore rimtape and little LED lights came from CRC. Everything else came from eBay, numerous sellers, got some bargains! The wheels are XT disc hubs on Mavic EN521 rims, they feel solid so I'll have to see how they hold up! Got front and rear BB5 discs for about £50 from Hong Kong (eBay)... no warrantee, but am I bothered at that price? Am I balls lol It also made me realise how much stuff you need to make a 'normal' MTB! Went out this evening with my mate Andy for a 'shakedown' at Bracknell and it rides so well! The tyres are High Rollers @ 2.1 but they did very well on high-speed stuff and small jumps etc. Need to put my levers inwards on the bars and adjust the reach on them, apart from that I'm really happy with it!
  21. Brilliant!! So good! We were riding some brakeless locally in Farnham the other night and its so hard... even the smallest things, like Tarty Adam was saying - you have to kinda learn how to ride Trials again, completely new set of rules in a way! Keep it up Mr. Ben!
  22. Nobody should ever feel the need to apologise for their choice of components dude! Looking good
  23. Really like that! Think thats the biggest BMX/Mod blur we've seen
  24. I think its just the high stance the bike has with those forks on that I'm not sure on and the bars have way too much rise for my liking, but as I said, its your bike not mine lol
