  1. Ha ha I translated it to English and it reads funy hur hur
  2. Princely sum of £19 delivered. New chain, good condition gusset single conversion kit from eBay. Yeah boi lol
  3. ah rear wheel with a freehub will have shorter on non-drive wont they...school boy error! those calcs are decent but you need the bits in front of you and know how many crosses you want - not for the faint-hearted
  4. pretty sure all the spokes in the wheel should be the same length dude....i've only ever built one wheel, but this was the impression i got from research and of course, sheldon's guide!
  5. yeah ive done a frame (and a car believe it or not) with cans and both have stuck well. the only downside is that as they dont get baked like in a proper booth the paint remaisn a bit soft and scratches really easy, regardless of prep.
  6. fair point.....maybe cheaper than paint
  7. on a budget! would be a can or 2 of paint for £6 or leave it how it is. to raw it i would need a wealth of sanding and nitromors, plus it will show up the little dent it has. to bead blast i will need to pay someone to do it. to paint i will need to rough up the surface, remove a few blemishes and then spray it. to leave it as it is will cost me neither time nor money, but i'm not sure i like it lol
  8. Far too much effort lol 1 for doing it
  9. Heyyyyooooooo Ahem. I bought this... ...on the basis it was cheap, vee ready and a 26. Now, I'm not sure I'm gonna be any good at this trials malarky so is it worth me giving it a quick rattle can spray job or not? The paint is very tired and scaffd up. Oli
  10. Extended list! Always the little things...
  11. Headset, bottom bracket and cranks donated to me by a good friend with a huge box of unused bike parts! Legend. The list is slowly coming down! Vee caliper Pads Cables Forks Tyres Pedals Single Speed Kit Chain Grips Top cap Caliper bolts Crank bolts Headset bearings Seatpost Chainring
  12. that, sir, is not a bad idea. stored for future ref on the lookout for a matching rear hub now, the list of bits i need is really long though!
  13. lots of love for the beamer! old ones are the best ones though, so i'm not surprised
  14. Used the missus GT! Only problem was rim width so found what I though was the middle, I.e. both brake arms at the same angle and went from there. Its about a mm out to the non disc side and it eggs in one place. I'm happy for now and will true it once I have forks and a brake to set up. Really chuffed with my first wheel build.
  15. Really nice stuff! Loved that coast along the wall, looked really smart.
  16. Might use the missus bike, its the only standard dropout vee fork I've got!
  17. Yeah I thought about that. I may have to back off the nipples a bit and start again. It was late last night and I was getting impatient
  18. Well its laced! And wonky is flip lol Any tips on truing withough a proper station?
  19. Oh yeah well chuffed Trial fitted to the kona
  20. Lol my last comment was meant sincerely BTW Yeah I'm gonna have to either use the gear routing or get clips/zip ties. Not the cleanest of looks eh!
  21. Ah bugger. I don't like zip ties and I'm running vees. What sort of clips are these?
  22. Anyone have any idea what these guides on the top tube are? The 'normal' guides follow on all the way to the mech hanger, so I assume these other ones are for the rear brake but I can't see how they provide any force against the pull of the inner cable?
  23. Well I've started now!! Anyone want an Atomlabs 920f 20mm axle front disc hub? £20 posted
