  1. Both disc, I have neither, buying a frame and brake off of a forum member, just wanted advice on which brake to choose.
  2. That woman strikes me as being as thick as shit..
  3. Am I the only one who used trials-online? I think it was a Canadian website. I remember being about 12 or 13 and seeing some people riding trials in the street in Southend. We stopped to ask them what the bikes were all about as we were fascinated and they completely blanked us, probably as they had little chavs all day asking to 'give us a go on yer bike bruv' etc. Consequently it took us ages to find out what trials bikes were and how to do a lot of the tricks that come with it. Trials online had loads of explanations and videos on how to do each trick, as well as reviews on parts and bikes. This was way before I even knew what a forum was, let alone this site. I don't think its the biggest innovation at all, but I do think it must of helped a fair few people out who were in a similar situation? As for actual innovation, I think horizontal dropouts and Deng in general had a massive impact on changing the reliability and cost of trials as a sport. Gone are the days of smashing deralieurs and collapsing chainstays.
  4. Just looking for a decision over what rear brake to run on my mod? I don't mind investing in pads etc to make the brake better, but I want the best brake for hold/feel. Opinions on a postcard please.
  5. F**king ECP brake wear sensors, say no more!
  6. http://youtu.be/JDjKHeXrSAc Probably the 4th time back out on the bike, trying to focus on rear wheel control and being a bit cleaner (this was sketchy AF as I was so tired by this point).
  7. On a run my obc thinks it's high 60's.. Not so sure about it! Also, anyone see that CTR driving badly at brands? https://instagram.com/p/4MMt6AHh4d/
  8. Some big stuff there! Think I was on your IG last night, that stone wall sidehop was big!!
  9. Rare for a reason, just like this! The colour isn't that bad in person but it's definitely not the reason I bought the car. Would've rather an imola red one or black again. Just so happens a friend was selling this and it was already mapped etc so was a no brainer!
  10. Shadowline'd/plastidipped my window trims on the car. I hate chrome. Loving derv life though! Been averaging 47 around town, and it still doesn't get beaten by my friends Megane's/CTR's etc! Taking it to St Tropez with some friends in August to my friends villa. Gonna try to do it from Calais on one tank just because! Find me a car that does all this and is as comfy and well specced for sub £2k.
  11. Bought this today. Too scene for my own good! E46 330D in 'comedy gold', 114k miles, FSH, EGR delete, straight through exhaust with decat, K&N panel, remap and coil-overs. Pretty happy with it for £1600.. Just needs the rust treating, wheel refurb, the window trims changing from chrome to black and then get it RR'd to see what the AFR is like and the power figures. Love driving it though, ultra smooth and torquey! Sounds like a truck on full whack. Oh and the rear needs raising, bounces off the bump stops with a couple of my pals in the back so it's kinda like a bouncy castle. Stuck with my friends megane R26 which is stage 1 so I'm happy! Also gets 60mpg at 70mph, and 80mpg at 60mph. Been hooning about this weekend and still averaging ~43mpg. Happy!
  12. what a PITA! Don't forget about seek.com.au as well!
  13. My gearbox decided to implode on my GSXR today.. Not best impressed. Expecting to foot a big bill, or cut my losses and take a hit with selling it.
  14. 11foot8.com Thank me later
  15. Have you been into said restaurants and bars? That was key for me. I could sit and apply for jobs all day online and not hear one thing back. But I went to three local bottlo's and got 2 job trials and one of those led to a job. Face to face is key! I'll have an ask about as I've got probably 150+ friends on my feeds in and around australia so someone is bound to help!
  16. Regarding a job if you get really stuck, relocate to perth and then you'll find a $25/hr job easy. Then save with that to go east coast if it's just seeing the east coast that you wanna do. Where abouts are you staying? I'll have words with any friends if I can help. Dependant on what job you are after, you'll have much better luck with casual work. Getting your RSA certificate and then applying for a bottleshop or bar job is by far the easiest way to make quick dollars!
  17. Surely the obvious.. Heat? Use a conduction heater or blowtorch to heat the sprocket. Give it a whack then use the chain whip and voila?
  18. Just... Why? https://www.facebook.com/michael.theaker.14/videos/916713155061596/
  19. Superb! Thanks for the concise replies. I think I will most likely hold out for an Emirates ticket then. My sister works for flight centre and she's just guaranteed the fact that she can get me a ticket around the time I want to go. Even if it costs more, I hadn't thought of import duty so it will most likely be cheaper in the long run. Plus Emirates is a decent airline of which I thoroughly enjoy. However I have heard different stories on Emirates about the bike being part of an extra quota of baggage, yet also heard of it being a part of your total 32kg allowance, so I will get a definitive answer from Emirates. Worst case scenario is that I buy a huge suitcase, Dis-assemble the bike and just put it in there
  20. If anyone is within an hour or so of Epping forest, check out the Church just off of Cold Christmas Lane. It's quite messed up on a dark night, quite often get ghost chasers there with their equipment and there's many stories on it all over the place. I remember last time we went, it was quite foggy and the walk from the lane down to the church is proper Blair Witch. Walking under joined branches of trees, strange animal noises (bats most likely) and then you come upon the church down in the valley. You can get right inside the church and there's a narrow and short spiral staircase that leads up to where the top of the bell tower is/was. The floor has all fallen through so you can see right down to where all your friends are at the bottom about 30 feet down. There's no platform whatsoever, you just look out from the end of the staircase downwards. I left my half-full can of Rubicon on the second-to-top step as we decided to leave, and I was the last person out. I heard a noise and turned around to see my can rolling on the floor, drink spilling out. I thought, yeah very funny, one of my pals slipped past everyone in the darkness and is still up the top and threw my can at me. Went back up the stairs to see who it was - nobody there. Safe to say I sprinted down the steps and out of the building and we all ran back to the cars. As there was no way any wind or draught could've picked a half-full can up and carried it up and over a step, across to the top of the stairs and down toward me! Not been back since, although I'd like to. Some photos to get an idea of the place here http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=20257#.VUJcjflVikp Also plenty of silly stories of trespassing into disused buildings in my local area and being a twat. But none as scary as that.
  21. I am looking to emigrate to Australia within the next couple of months and I am struggling to find solid answers on here and Google. Has anyone had any experiences from either of the two methods for transporting a bike with an airline, or by posting it inter-continentally? I.E. receiving the bike damaged at the other end, preventing the damage and what airlines/postal service(s) to avoid in terms of cost and handling? Weight won't be an issue, it is only a Trials bike after all, and a Mod at that. I will most likely fly Emirates and you do get an extra allowance for sporting goods, but if I can't find flights with them then I will have to look elsewhere and rules on prices and packaging requirements are iffy at best between airlines. So if anyone has experiences they would like to share then that will be appreciated! Ultimately if the bike is likely damaged as baggage with an airline then I would rather pay to post it as I can make sure it is properly packaged as I won't have to worry quite so much about weight. And as to keeping the bike clean (customs control) I will give it a thorough top-to-bottom clean and fit new tyres beforehand to save from aggro as customs won't want a spot of dirt on the bike. Cheers in advance.
  22. I was going to say that, just go with something that you like, not what people might like. For example look at has automotive on instagram. I remember following him when he had like 350 followers and thinking it was a bit of a lame name.. now he has 110k followers. I guess after seeing it 'x' amount of times it just catches on.
  23. Finished work. It's 11am. All this productive time wasted because UK mail somehow delivered my plastidip elsewhere so I can't build my bike back up now!
  24. Quirky bikes with a lot of hidden tech. I can see why they're likeable but for the money I guess I can just see myself spending it on other stuff. Like a new RSV4 and enough change for upgrades or a BMW GS for comfort
