  1. Go for a Mac. I've got a feeling new iMacs will be announced on August 7th, according to a few rumour websites so it might be worth holding out, also they will be dropping the 17" so personally I wouldnt go for one. To be honest Photoshop isnt that graphics card intensive, so you should be ok with the MacBook, it all depends if you want to be portable or not. I think one of the best thing's I've ever done was to buy my MacBook Pro, I've got an iMac too, but my MBP is so powerful I can use it as a desktop by plugging in a keyboard and mouse and external monitor if I want (like Nick Carter) or I can have it on my lap and still work just as well. Like you said, there isn't much difference between the machines technically, the MacBook has slightly slower RAM, smaller hard drive, a CD writer (not DVD like the iMac) and a less powerful graphics card, but my sister has never had any problems with hers. At the end of the day it's up to you, but I'd say currently go for a MacBook, or if you want the iMac, wait until mid-august.
  2. Wheyyyyyyyyyyy +44! Nice vid too
  3. I worked at McDonalds for 3 years on and off. Full time all together for about a year, well, i worked there 3 summers in a row. I guess it really shows by the fact i'm still under 10 stone. Fat as a house.
  4. This was taken ages ago but yeah, it's at 1/1000th
  5. Because of that reason.
  6. Back on topic. Dave, I can get decent results up to 1/1000th of a second with my set so I'm thinking something must be up with yours. #1. Did you replace the transmitter/reciever batteries as soon as you got them? The ones they supply are "for testing purposes only" and are very close to being empty. #2. Are your flash batteries fully charged? #3. I found mine work best when I set my Flash Mode to manual. (Menu> Spanner> CSM/SetUp Menu> Detailed. Then Menu> Pencil> 16. Flash Mode> Manual> Full Power Let me know if that helps, if not I'll see what else I can do.

  8. I did, cos it's the most original out of the lot.
  9. It's the Flash Mode. You can set it to TTL, or manual. Manual allows you to set the flash power yourself, TTL it does it automatically.
  10. Eugh we need to keep the questions to one thread. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....t&p=1309314 read that Dave.
  11. TTL means Through The Lens. It just measures the light and then adjusts the flash so the shot is exposed properly. Obviously with triggers you have to set the flash to manual and adjust the power, trial and error. I don't get what you're trying to say.
  12. At home: 2.5 miles, 10 minutes there on my BMX, about 13 minutes back (hills). At uni. About 5 minutes walk.
  13. I work 4 days a week, 11-8.30 or 7-4.30 so generally when i'm on an early I do stuff in the evening (see mates/ride) and when im on a late i just chat to them on msn/phone. Then on my 3 days off I do other stuff. You just gotta learn to make the most of your evenings really, yesterday I woke up at 6.30, rode to work for 7, rode home from work at 4.30, chilled for an hour, rode to meet my mate, drove into town with my bike, rode from 6-10 then rode home, then came home, chatted on msn, then rang my friend Lily for an hour and a half at 11.45 in bed, then txt her til about 1.30 then went to sleep, then I was up at 6.30 for work this morning. You just have to be good at long days. Lucozade has helped me the last two days
  14. It's an old rule, has been around about... well i started being interested in trials about 5 years ago, and it was enforced then, so... But it's only recently they've changed it, hence the 116mm stocks that are out
