If you don't understand or care why people want to make light bikes, then what's the point in arguing? If you wanna know how far some people go when it comes to weighing parts, here's a list of what I've weighed. Frame, forks, headset, top bolt, top cap, headset spacers, bars, stem (with bolts), grips, front brake, front caliper bolts, rotor, rotor bolts, rim, hub, hub bolts, spokes, nipples, tube, tyre, rim tape, cranks, bash, sprocket, bb, bb bolts, pedals, chain, rear brake, rear caliper bolts, rotor, rotor bolts, rim, hub, hub bolts, snail cams, spokes, nipples, tube, tyre, rim tape. I've got it all written down in a spreadsheet, and have 3 more tables which have estimated weights (marked in red) for parts which I hope to buy soon. All the current parts which I know are right, are marked in green. That's how I managed to get my Dob down to 8.07kg, and that's how I'll manage to get my Bionic down to around 8.25kg with any luck
