  1. Do you reckon it would be possible to make a hanger that's just like that? I.e. one that will fit almost every frame on the market and clamp on via the QR. Then someone could make thousands and sell them at £2 each. Every rider in the country would have a couple of spares at that price. Someone please make this happen.
  2. If you ride 26" as your profile suggests, then a BMX hub will be too narrow. Dirt jump hubs aren't any different to hubs on other bikes, I'd be surprised if they had anything better than a bog-standard Shimano Deore or something. To be honest I have no idea if there are any hubs that are good for sand, but like SpaceMunkee said, Hope Mono (Or XC if you want the disc mount) are nice hubs and you can service them yourself. Plus most of the parts are replaceable (If you can get hold of the parts in Dubai). They'll certainly last longer than a few Shimanos I'd imagine. Plus Shimano hubs are notorious for the ratchet mechanism destroying itself. Unless something has changed in the last few years in the world of Shimano hubs, I think you'll find that pretty much all Shimano hubs are the same. Maybe if you go XTR they'll have better sealing, but at that point you might as well just get a Hope and you won't lose your teeth. In conclusion: Get a Hope XC or Mono

How many people bury their cars?
  4. Ditto. I just heard about it 5 seconds ago and I want it already. I wonder what they'll do differently. P.S. It better be available as a frame-only.
  5. Ti stuff always looks so cool. And that looks beautiful.
  6. What does Johnny Jones want with a Zebdi?
  7. Wtf is a hom? Besides, that rhyme is already taken care of with "Tom is da bomb", and you can't have two rhymes now can you? [/spam] P.S. Clive Leeson will do a 26" with a proper seat tube if you wish, someone on here has one. So that's worth thinking about
  8. Yeah, a Zero with the same monocoque downtube and front end, with a chainstay yoke (so they didn't ALL snap) and up-to-date geometry would be awesome. Although the price would have to be right, I seem to remember the Zero going for around £500 back in the day. At that price I don't think they would compete with the likes of Onza, Zoo, Echo etc.

    My Achne

I think he did mention something about lasers, but I don't know the ins and outs of it. You seem to be very clued up on the subject of vanity Alexx
  10. That's 'cos it's in the bike pics forum, HERE
  11. iTunes, Napster and a few others will give you album downloads for £7 or so. IMO just buy the CD and rip it. Of AllOfMP3.com sells albums for £1 each or something and claim that it's legal. I'm pretty sure it isn't though... Possibly slightly more legal than Limewire, though.

    My Achne

I used to have it fairly and my younger cousin called me pizza face all the time. Then he got a bit older and got really bad acne himself. Naturally I'm really mature and I call him pizza face so he knows how it feels. I don't think it's something you need to worry about having forever. I'm pretty sure most people grow out of it completely when they're like 18/19/20. The only problem is that if it was once really bad, it can scar, which obviously is permanent. One of my friends (Age 25) is paying almost a grand to have a "skin peel". It's one of those stupid (IMO) cosmetic things advertised in women's magasines. Basically they strip a layer of skin off and after you're not allowed out in the sun for 6 months He's really vain though so I'm sure he'll like it, and it should get rid of any of the scarring left by acne, apparently.
  13. When you say "hangerless"... Do you just mean that you're running a snapped hanger, but with the tensioner bolted onto the QR instead? If so I've been running that for a while now as a bit of a bodge, I'll get some pics later. And I agree it is much better, although when (if) my homemade tensioner breaks, it's a more expensive fix than just £6 for a hanger. It seems pretty robust though. I'm surprised no-one has done that to the rohloff before, it looks like such an obvious idea when you think about it. But you've done a good job of it anyway
  14. If it's just two pages, chances are you'll remember most of it. If I were you I'd just get typing. I guarantee that you'll spend longer trying to sort it out than just re-typing those pages.
  15. Another vote for the Ashton here. They're really nice frames from the quick tries I've had - Not too long for streety stuff but also capable on the bigger stuff and natural. Plus they're readily available. I'd have one if I rode 26" for sure P.S. You don't need a seat to be street. That rhymes, it must be true
  16. Ah, so that's why this morning's "news" on BBC1 consisted of a load of random pictures of the sunrise. Cool, it's the longest day of the year, better make the most of the daylight
  17. Guess that's why Benny Hill isn't funny either. Sorry, that was a waste of 2 minutes of my life I could have been, uh, baking or something in that time.
  18. I'm not saying that the Pro II hubs are bad, in fact I'm sure they're really decent for the money. All I was saying was that perhaps you went a bit over the top when you announced that they were indestructible. To defend it with ever more tenuous excuses (overly tight spokes, salt corrosion) is just a bit lame. If any other product had broken, it wouldn't have been as funny, but the hype that surrounded this hub was laughable. If you hadn't kicked up such a fuss in the first place about how amazing these hubs were, then I'm sure this broken hub wouldn't have got so much attention And that is all I will say on the matter.
  19. Bollocks. Salt corrosion my arse. Just face it that you were wrong when you said the Hope hubs would be indestructible.
  20. Haha, you're probably right though. I never use the sprays. Sprays are for gays...
  21. Default button is L (for Logo) I think. You can change the button if you want though. And you change the spray in the options
  22. Clive says that he makes the Leesons around a Pashley fork anyway. I think there's probably a bit of difference in Pashley forks - bad quality control perhaps. Although it doesn't really affect the ride so meh
  23. Sidehops under a foot or so probably feel a bit weird when you're going from back wheel, and you don't want to get into a habit of having the front wheel OVER the wall before you jump, otherwise you'll mess up your technique and it might stick. But generally they're one of those things that's easier on lower stuff
  24. My Pashley forks turned my Levelboss 1065 into a 1080. It's no big deal really. I don't think yours are bent, at least not significantly

    Crashing

It's like when you're ice skating and you fall it hurts ten times as much as if you're running. Even though you're falling from exactly the same height and position. On ice you just fall and don't roll at all.
