  1. I saw a car number plate that was something like "M1 0 RLY" Made me laugh anyway. Doubt it was intentional, though, this was a while ago.
  2. Goooooooooo Italy! I have a bet on them (well, sweepstake), so if they get to the semis, I get at least a fiver. £60 if they win which would be damn nice! And they've got Switzerland or Ukraine in the quarters! So fingers crossed, I'm in the money! But yeah, that match was pretty cool if you're supporting Italy. I thought they'd screwed it up when Materazzi got sent off, but then BAM! Penalty in the last 20 seconds! And as for the Holland - Portugal game, I was amazed when the commentators said it was the worst match they'd seen in years. It was the most entertaining game of football I've ever seen
  3. Oh right, yeah. That's the one Yeah, me. Sorry for the thread Hijack. Although it's drawing attention away from your boo boo!
  4. Nah, I'll just whip your ass. I dunno how it all works, but you can add me or something - my name is [FBM]Fluid609[RIP Deej] if that helps.
  5. That's odd JT created this thread but I have the first post... Can someone delete this, cos I can't.
  6. Slack chains are really annoying! I would have as tight as possible so that the chain still spins freely. Of course this is hard to measure when you're on front freewheel. Plus slack chain --> Chain snap, surely?

    Computer People

Yeah I have XP, but it won't let me change anything because the C:\ is the "system drive". D:\ (The one I'm using) is a "boot drive". And I also have E:\ which is an "active drive", all part of the same physical hard drive. So I don't think DMC will help in this case. The only thing I think I can do is to convert my drive into "Dynamic" rather than "Basic" mode, but I don't think that will help at all. I think Partition Magic will work, but like I said I need some confirmation before I just jump straight in head first

Oh I see Yeah, I don't think I can use the disk management stuff. However Partition Magic will let you make changes to the partition you're on - it restarts the computer and does it's thing outside of Windows.

I'd rather have confirmation before I do though, the last time I tried to do something similar I really bolloxed everything up. I had to sort it using a boot CD and FDisk. Apparently I had two logical partitions and no primary partition, and that's why it wouldn't work, but it took ages to sort out, was a real headache. So I'd rather not go through that again MBR = Master Boot Record. It's the first 1024bytes (I think) at the start of the drive that tells the computer where all the partitions are. No MBR = No working computer, and that's why I'm scared of just deleting the partition, because it's at the start of the drive. There is still a windows install on the C:\ drive, I can go into it using the menu when I boot up like Ingram is describing. But I'm running a bit short on disk space, so I'd like to free the space up.

Have you installed Windows on the 6 Gb drive or something? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While we're kinda on the subject: I have a c:\ partition with XP Pro on it I made another d:\ partition for Windows Media Centre Can I just use Partition Magic to recover the 25Gb at the start of the drive that was previously the c:\ drive with XP Pro on it? I'm just a bit scared because I don't want to delete the MBR or something equally daft.

    Guitar Pedal`

MultiFX (like that one) are probably what you want. That's a VERY cheap one, so sound quality won't be great, but there will be a few things to play with, and if you're just practising then sound quality isn't that important anyway. You can just buy a single wah, but unless you're Jimi Hendrix, you'll probably get bored very quickly. To be honest, I don't really know about that one specificly, but it seems like a bargain. If you wanted to spend more, you could look at the AX1500g. I had the older version of that, and it was good. In my experience (with cheap FX), the effects are good to play with, but the distortion/amp modelling isn't really worth using. What amp are you using?
  12. What's wrong with the geo? Stays look shortish, BB isn't too low. Head angle is...um... interesting! OK it looks pretty short, but some people like that (Also with a head angle that steep, it'll feel longer than it is). What is the geo anyway Sam?
  13. If you were being rational, you could say that you dreamt that because you had sand in your feet and you felt it, so your brain imagined stuff about being on the beach. Kind of a cause/effect kinda thing. Although I suppose the supernatural thing is probably more exciting. I feel like I've just told a child that Santa doesn't exist

    Sidehop Help

Yeah, I think you need to be more parallel as David said. I was doing what you are doing for ages, until I realised it's much easier if you hop totally sideways
  15. That'll be the RAM overheating. You could lower that a few MHz but still keep going with the core, if you wanted. I really can't be bothered trying to tweak my GFX card though, it runs CS:S fine, and that's the only game I ever play. If I could be arsed, I would flash it down to a 9800Pro (which is what it was originally) but I cannae be bothered, so I have to use ATI tool to lower the RAM speed before I play anything (Which is pretty annoying actually)
  16. Wow, that's really weird. I had their song Bionic in my head just this morning, couldn't remember who it was by. How odd
  17. I like online ordering. Plus I have my card details in my muscle memory on my right hand, so I don't even need to think when ordering something on impulse! If you wanna chat, then use the phone. If you just want some bits and you think the internet is easier, do that. Best of both worlds really.
  18. I actually swear quite a lot without really thinking about it. Just in normal situations when there's no need E.g: "Did you see how hard he kicked that ball?" "Yes, he really cunted it." As long as it doesn't slip into conversation when I'm with my Mum or something, it's fine.
  19. This is what artefacts look like. That's one caused by the RAM overheating when I overclocked my card too much. The other type is lots of random-coloured pixels (E.g. fixed on red) all over the screen caused by the GPU overheating. If you don't have either of those problems, don't worry.

    Slr Cameras

Yeah, my Mum's got an OM-10 and it's a really nice camera for the money these days. The 50mm prime lens which I think is part of the kit is supposed to be really good. My housemate bought one, with 3 different lenses (normal 50mm, wide, tele) and a couple of films for under £30. And if you need any extra stuff, ebay is pretty reasonable. Nice and compact too.
  21. No, you've got a point. Although I'm sure it could be argued that some people's "Dream Frame" would have a seat, even if it did mean they lost half an inch off their sidehops. I never thought it would happen, but I'm coming around to seeing why people like seats. I never used to see the point, but it kinda makes sense to me now. Basically what I'm saying is perhaps Akrigg wants a seat
  22. Shave it. That's what I did. I don't like short hair, but shaved is good. On the other hand if your head is a weird shape then you'll look like a tool.
  23. We have NTL, although to be honest the only reason is that you don't need a BT line. So Bulldog which requires a BT line is an extra £13 or whatever when you take that extra cost into consideration. I have a feeling that NTL have removed all their caps and are now saying that you get unlimited data. I've certainly not had any problems with going over any limits. As for customer service, I hear NTLs is terrible, but I've never really had to use it. We've had it for 2 years now and had to call them once. In that time, the connection's only been down for a few hours in the day time on two occasions within a week of each other - I guess they must have been doing some work on the lines. So no complaints with NTL from me, really. P.S. You are your mate are gonna piss each other off if you're downloading when he wants to play games

    Death

I've done that I mean I've cut people like you (except dead) open and what not. It's good fun. Although I don't think it would be something I would sign up for for my body when it's dead. I think you get money to cover funeral costs too? £1000 or so. Which is pretty good I guess. I've got a donor card, people can help themselves to whatever they need and then let me be. I'm not sure I like the idea of being kept in a fridge for 3 years. Just burn me and have done with it. There's not enough space in this world for all the cool new houses and shops anyway, so don't waste space by having me buried, please. I find it really hard to comprehend nothingness when you die, so I guess I believe there is something after. I have no idea what. Alternatively, if there really is nothing, you won't know about it and you won't mind so I truly don't believe it's anything to worry about too much.
