  1. Yep that's the one, it was only because it was an international order with hefty postage prices, so it saved a huge amount on postage and you ended up with a cheaper frame sent out for free. But sorry for the mistake in the first placeas it shouldnt have happened in the first place. Again, I'd just like to say if we do make a mistake we do as much as we can to make up for it and resolve the mistake, but with international orders I have had people using forged/stolen cards a lot so a lot more time is needed for expensive items like a frame to be cleared. I arranged a collection to pick up the frame from Shaun’s house today with a refund, and a t-shirt with a larger size is in the post to him as his one was too small, and he's been very nice about the matter which is appreciated. I'll be sending another e-mail your way later Shaun. Thanks. Phil.
  2. Firstly, I’d just like to say, a full refund is available and we will arrange a collection, it's no problem, the money is not an issue as long as the customer is happy, by all means return the frame and you can keep the t-shirt, as a rider myself I can understand the problem which wasn’t intentional. This was put across on the phone to Shaun, also the high bottom bracket is the 06 version, and if you have the 05 version it's the low bottom bracket which was also said on the phone, a genuine mistake was made. The actual error about the frame originated when the stock was being counted. On the website it was put down as an 06 instead of an 05, this was the slight mistake made, and I can only put it down to the hundreds of items added to the site when the website was being made, the error occurred. We have been trading for 2.5 years now, and can honestly say over this time only 2 frames have been incorrectly sent out, and both people have (unluckily for Selectbikes) posted in the same topic, the other is Inur, which was resolved and no money was lost. I have heard plenty of bad service comments from other shops, as with other shops, the majority of the time all orders and customers are happy with the service given, but sometimes unfortunately human error is to blame as in this case, there are no excuses from me about this situation, but unfortunately the way people have seen it posted on the forum, it's a bad impression and doesn't reflect the truth. Since our new website has been open all the orders we have received have been shipped out for free and as fast as possible with very happy customers. Usually the only problems are when Royal mail loose an item or have a heavy delay, the same applies with parcel force, and the old problem with our old website which was detailed on the front page that there may be a delay at that time. I don't want anybody at all to feel bad about what they have received, no matter if something doesn’t fit, if somebody doesn’t like a part, if they simply change their mind about something, we just want our customers to be perfectly happy with the part they have received, many shops charge extra postage to send another item out, even when it is the shops fault, or if the customer just wants a different part, but we don't do that. Thanks. Phil.
  3. I remember in the Margura handbook it says to use Sunflower oil in an emergency if you do not have any Magura brake fluid. It does work, I done about 6 years ago, just too slow for me, water is the best I think, I don't have any problems. Phil.
  4. The website was designed by myself and put together by somebody who knows php and database as he was absolutely useless at designing. Dave didn't do this website, but he's still under the links. Thanks for the feedback guys :] Phil.
  5. Thanks for the feedback, just a few things about the site, firstly, the new site is based on our old site, very similar layout, works very much the same, and has the same colour scheme, to somebody it may seem as if we have copied Tarty, but all I can say is our old website was out before the other company, and our new website is very similar and design to our old site. So, would you say they copied our old design?? I certainly wouldn’t, their website is great, but as "Simon" said, there are only a few ways you can design a good working website, there are other websites in a different market with totally different e-commerce websites but that suits their type of trade and we feel our old website was great, this is just the same but improved. Secondly, our logo at the top has been on our t-shirts for about 8months now, we just decided to use it for the top bar on the site as it looked better, again, we had that design on our t-shirts long before any other company had them on theirs and website. I admit our service wasn't too great at the end of last year, of course we had major problems with the old site which couldn’t be fixed, which did delay orders, hence the new website which took time, and we did have a major disaster in the wind with trees falling down and destroying everything, we put everything on the website to let customers know, the last few months of last year was a complete run down, we are terribly sorry for any delays in the orders. But we are back on track like in the past and better, we apologize for any delays at the end of the year last year, but again we are back to normal top notch fast service again. . Phil.
  6. Not at the moment, but in the future i'm sure. Phil.

  8. Just remembered this part of the forum was here. Brand new Selectbikes website is up and running now, much better than the last one, More pictures, Descriptions, Easier ordering, User accounts, 100% screen, and more. Selectbikes. Thanks.
  9. Cheers dude , the logo is the same as the old logo, same text font and colours, just with some paint splatter, that logo has been on our t-shirts for 6/8 months now and I thought it would be good for the website Thanks for the feedback on the video, glad everyone likes it, I just thought it would be good to make a more chilled out video with very chilled out music, really please with the way it come out after hours of faffing about trying to get decent quality and file size . Thanks everyone. Phil.
  10. Thanks for the post Dave, your far too quick , lol, any feedback on the video will be great thanks. Phil.
  11. Well it's clearly not if the person who made them is saying they are the same geometry as they have always been. All the Zoo bars I have had are exactly the same. I'm not disputing there havn't been different geometry bars but if you have seen any which are different then they must be a bad batch. I e-mailed Deng about it again, and yet again he says "The geometry is the same." So the person who makes the bars says they are the same as always twice, I'm going to believe they havn't been changed. Phil.
  12. The most accurate way is to place them through your frame and headset, put your stem on and push down making sure nothing is loose. Draw a line around the top of the stem on the forks steerer then take your forks out. Now get the stem and put it over the fork steerer and draw another line around the top of the stem approx 3/5mm below the line you drew before. This way you get a perfectly straight line which will give you a parallel cut to your stem, just hacksaw across the line. Also, make sure you hit down the star nut if your forks already have it in. Phil.
  13. There are no "new" zoo bars, they have never been changed, all our zoo bars at selectbikes are the same. I checked and Deng a few weeks back, and he replyed saying exactly this: "We havn't change the geometry of the ZOO! bars" Phil.
  14. You don't have to drill it out, and I wouldn't say thats the best as you risk drilling into the thread which you don't want to damage. Just get a small pointy tool and get under the first thread of the helicoil and try and bent it outwards, then get some pliers on that bit and unscrew the helicoil, you should be able to just re-insert a new helicoil the same size without sending a tap through again. Phil.
  15. Was the roll cage not strong enough? Did it just bend into his head or something? They said it dug into the ground along with his head, but the rollcage was surrounding his head, so i'm not sure if the soil pushed through the gaps or what. The noise of the jet engine when it crashed though, poo in pants that is.

    Broadband

With telewest Blueyonder you can get the cable tv package from which the broadband plugs into, so you don't need a bt phoneline. I have a BT phone line but the broadband comes through the cable tv box, so maybe you can just get blueyonder to fit a broadband line without the tv aswell, im not sure but try: blueyonder Phil.
