  6. I had this very same problem with my vario styx, they kept on moving because of the offset on the mounts, i found filing down the edges on the top piece helped clamp the slave further, be careful you dont take too much off, the mounts wont like too much stress!

  17. oh my god this is the best topic ive seen on TF yet! (within reason) I remember the day when tarty made a visit to kendal, and had the lightest bike in the world, latex innertubes, 519 rear 517 front, cannondale frame i think, michelin hot s! oh my god Also remember Mike Bentham? he was pro.. i remember shimano deore hubs where good! you could hear them click a few times on rotation! Fatty forks were the only uber trials forks for 26" in the world.. using a road cassette for the first time still got a merlin in my garage! less than 2.0 tyre clearence on it! leaving my pc for an hour to download a 1539kb clip of mike bentham doing a bunny hop onto a rail when vincent was riding junior at the worlds.. caisso owning the world champs on his megamo and never failed to have the same coloured one piece lycra suit! danny comas using double disc on his megamo! riding it with style JJ gregorowicz using a brisa b26d with a 160 rear rotor... LOL
  18. Well i had a bunch of mates who liked biking, we all decided we liked to jump about so we searched martin ashton on the web from seeing him in mbuk, they had like 4 clips on the site "how to endo 180" "how to bunny hop" " how to wheely" "how to back hop", we learnt them all loved it all got tricks and stunts.. copied some of that. We got to a stage where we all had a sort of trials bike (merlins!!) and thought... now what do we do? everything is easy.. so we thought! we searched the internet for world trials, at the time video quality was SHIT on the web so we didnt watch much videos, we found on vtcz.ch a video cd of the 2000 world champs, so we got it, my god we watched it 2138019830 times went out and practiced more. So for me i didnt have much of a problem when learning to ride, i had mates who enjoyed the same thing, and a source for new moves to try.. the internet! its still the same now, the internet is the only main source for people to read and learn about trials, take the web out of the picture and what do you have? MBUK 2 page spread? so i think like other "minority" sports the internet is the key. Bringing people together from all over the world in the sport we love so much!
