  1. Do you mean do you have to run some kind of tensioner when you have singlespeed, or whether or not you can use a rear mech or tensioner etc? Anyways, it is best to use some kind of tensioner whether it be a rear mech or proper tensioner. A rear mech works the same though and is cheaper if you have one lying around somewhere. Just use an old bit of brake cable (with the bobbly bit on the end) to hold the rear mech in the gear you want, and voila, you have tension. :o
  2. This happened with me when i ordered a set of ddg forks (over a year ago) and they said it could take up to a week before they got to me. They arrived the next day, and i ordered them over the phone the night before at about 4.00pm. I was well chuffed!
  3. Mint video, some big natural lines in there, that sidehop near the end was decieving, it looked small as you were next to it but when you landed on top it looked huge :) Nice to see a natural video with some sweet riding in, i found it really watchable :)
  4. The only problem i could see from you running a short steerer is that the stem wont be able to achieve enough clamping force to stay on the forks securely, however i ran a brisa elite bar and stem setup with an overly cut steerer and i didnt have any problems, till the forks snapped but they broke at the crown so that didnt have anything to do with the stem clamping...
  5. Sweet footage there, looked like a good event. That drop off the rock did look pretty scary! All of the sections looked well set out and that sidehop to pedal that the pros were doing looked huge too... :)
  6. Good idea, ive never seen that before, looks like it would work well... Its amazing how much some tools cost for what they are, the hope disc mount facing tool being one...
  7. Pretty sweet, but why are you called saracen rider if you ride a monty urban?
  8. Bloody hell! I have seen t-snaptors break before but not that bad! How did you manage that? Anyways, the base ta26 is a very nice frame that should last you well, it rides nice and looks good too... :)
  9. Im pretty sure he still rides for echo, and he is an awesome rider. Its a shame that footage of him is rare though, and downloading off the echo site takes years :)
  10. There are loads of videos that i like off trials shack, my favourite is probably TM1 however i really cant decide for sure...
  11. I honestly dont see anything wrong with the normal rs7 pro trials crankset, the bashring is still nice. I dont feel that its worth paying so much money for a little ring of titanium unless your a bike pimp lol. You do save weight and get more clearance, but for the money i would rather spend on something else its not worth it. So, if you want to spend the money get the super pro trials if you want to save money, get the normal rs7s.
  12. Yeh im pretty sure thats an old video, all the videos from totaltrials are quality, good riding, good music and decent editing. TWP is awesome too, i dont know where waynio gets all his power from!
  13. Those designs are both good, CAD systems can be difficult to use depending on which one. Personally im pretty poor at using them at school but i have never really needed to use them properly yet. That frame is good for a first try though :)
  14. If you havent sorted it yet, it really is worth taking the time to grease your headset, especially if you have a king one. It should stop any noises and make it last longer as well as making sure that it runs smooth. Whilst youre doing that you can check your forks too...
  15. Not a bad video, but it was really repetitive. You could include more lines in the video instead of up a wall then stop etc. The riding was good though dont get me wrong, but if you added a little variation into the video it would make it so much better :)
  16. I didnt take that bit apart, i only took the cassette body off, replaced the pawls and springs then slid it back on, i have found out the problem anyway and sorted it, the drive side spacer that you take off had rough marks on it where i had prized it off so it dug into the bearing and stopped it spinning smoothly. I filed the marks off, re-fitted it and it spins freely now. Cheers for the replys though <_<
  17. Go for the 1100 GU, as he said it will feel shorter but have all the benefits of a longer bike so you get the best of both worlds. The bottom bracket height does feel strange at first, as you have loads of clearance over other frames but thats a good thing <_<
  18. Yeh looks like a sweet job, they look smart <_<
  19. Hi, i have a rear hope mono hub, and i recently put it back together despite it being buggered so i can ride it for now (the parts still work by the way). However, i cleaned and greased the pawls, springs and cassette body and put it back together, and it worked perfectly until i tightened the quick release in the frame, then the hub wouldnt freewheel backwards. I loosened the quick release again, and it freewheeled perfectly, then tightened and it locked up. Its got something to do with the spacers on either end as when they are pushed against by something they lock the hub. Does anyone hace any ideas? please help as its frustrating me as to whats wrong...
  20. Good video, some amazing riding there considering how old it is. The editing was good too, and that fork snap at the end was crazy! <_<
  21. I streamed the video, and it was very good. Some super smooth riding as usual, all you can hear is the buzz of your king when you ride. You seem more comfortable on the bt, that trials course near the end of the video looked mint to ride as well. Is there any way to save the video?
  22. Its a cool idea, but what was your inspiration to try it? How would 3 layers of pad benefit braking? From what you have said they dont work very well...
  23. I would go for the longer frame, as the short wheelbase will restrict your riding due to you being tall. Im about 6ft1 and i ride a 1065 koxx levelboss and i find that a little restricting at times, however in general its ok. I would go for the 1085 being your height...
  24. Top video, some big riding there as usual and some funny moments in there too  The song was pretty cool too :D
  25. Lol im size 13 and its difficult enough to find trainers that size, do you have to get them custom made or something? :-
