Ok, so we got hold of a disc! But when we installed it loads of errors came up refering to Rundll32.ddl - bad image. It comes up pretty much when i do anything that has anything to do with wondows, anything in control pannel - some thigns won't even open. I guess it was a dodgy install, so is there anyway i could get hold of another disc and somehow repair it rather than have to whipe everything and start over again?

Ok, got hold of a CD, but its professional not home. I doubt my key will work, but ill try it anyway. Can i just use any product key or will it know theres two people using it and what'll happen then etc?

I'm going to be really unhelpful because i had the same problem, and someone told me how to fx it and it worked, but i can't remember what it was. It was a number somewhere in the depth of my computer that would limit something (the word connections springs to mind) and in normal computer use the limit would be fine but because you use a torrent client that limit would be exceeded with all the connections it would make. I put the number up and I've been getting speeds of up to 600kB/s where as before that i was getting 10kB/s max.

This does seem like one of those things that get's taken out of context, and it'll actually have no effect on BMX's and mod trials bikes at all, ie someone has taken the "anything under 24" wheel" and blown it out of proportion where there's pages about anything under 24" aimed at adults. I doubt there'll be any problems, however i'm being completely ignorant because i haven't read up on the matter. We'll just have to wait and see.

I've had a quick look around, but i'm really don't know what i'm doing when it comes to routers. It's not the ping that's the problem, it's something the router is doing.

Sometimes the net runs really slow and has a huge ping (600+) and the net speed can come down to 600 when it should be at 4800. All i need to do is turn off the router and turn it back on and it's 100% fine. Leave it for a few days ( or 10 mins sometimes) and it goes back to shit mode. Why is that?

There hasn't been any rimjam pads to date that you should buy. Some of the compounds were quite good, but all 3 versions of the backings had big problems. The white backings, the clips broke off, and the metal backings were known to brake your maguras.

Nah, we need windows xp. We tried about 5 different virus / malware programs, nothing will pick it up. Thanks for the help, especially the tip about making sure i get xp home and no other edition, forgot about that.

Gf's Mum's dell PC has been f**ked over by a virus to the point that msconfig and windows help can't find their files. I've read that the virus has actually changed altered filenames and such to try and stop you from removing it. Anyway, rather than spending days trawling through means of getting it all back to normal, i think a good reformat would be just as good. We have no xp cd's but we do have the serial code stuff attached to the side of the computer, i was always under the impression that XP cd's are worthless and it's the serial code you pay for, so is there any way i can download and legitimately burn windows xp to some cds, or buy just the cds without any license? Would that work?
