  1. Great video - best I've downloaded in a while. That boy sure can ride.
  2. Nice. Someone using their imagination. Thanks for that, was very entertaining.
  3. Are you actually planning to ride this bike?
  4. My thoughts exactly. What is satisfying with 47" when 48 is next. And then 49 after that....
  5. Super 8! Hardcore! I've got an S8 cam but I haven't used it.
  6. Some people need to get their heads sorted, mincing about pretending that they do 'pure trials' when half of them probably haven't done a comp. in their lives. Chris has more than proved himself in competitions (seven elite national wins?) and has done amazingly well in the Worlds. Whatever he rides, on whatever bike (dirt, BMX or trials) he consistently rips it up. He (like ET) is a true master of bikes. All this 'he should get a BMX' rubbish makes me sick. Jesus, half the time all 'pure' riders do is just see who can get the highest 'front tap' or 'sidehop'. f**king hell, go and do high jumping or pole vaulting if all you're worried about is 'how many inches' (and that wasn't a queue for a dirty joke). Sorry for the rant, but I always get accused of doing 'shit BMX' - its called using your imagination, doing your own thing and having fun. f**ks sake, no ones going to pay most of us to ride. If Chris wants to ride his BMX, then I think you'll find that's exactly when he does ride his BMX. That quality of riding (as shown in the video) is probably why he's being paid to ride a bike and why he's been given a Hyundai pickup.
  7. I was thinking the same thing. Loads of people seem to ask on here what to do with their woman. Use some imagination! If you're that boring that you can't think of something then she'll soon get fed-up anyway.
  8. I think some of the Cannondale downhill riders once has blue side-walled Kujo's didn't they?
  9. What's with all this misuse of the word 'random'? I'm sure somebody spent some time sitting in front of a drawing board (computer then...) thinking about that. Or did they just grab a screenshot of the Windows pipe screensaver - that'd be more like random. As for the frame... looks different. I'd be happier with the 'normal' Levelboss.
  10. No-one ever tell you about stress concentrations then? Think what would be stronger... a straight tube axially loaded or a 'kinked' tube. To me it looks as though there's just another unnecessary point for failure to occur. But that aside, as I'm sure the frame will break elsewhere before it breaks there, it seems that the current 'trend' is to get a 'normal' frame and do something spazzy with the seat-tube.
  11. Did you not read what I wrote? It was based on what the topic starter wrote. Nobody else here 'was there', so they're probably wasting their time and 'spouting crap' as well. It all depends whose 'crap' you're willing to lap up.
  12. Disagree. If, like he said, he'd seen "the driver walking towards me in a very threatening way" he should have been ready/on guard. Someone who boxes (even for a hobby) would instinctively try and block a hit in a situation like that. I mean, this other guy's hit can't have been up to much if he let himself get decked afterwards.
  13. So why didn't you block his hit?
  14. Next time I'll make sure I issue them with firearms. Goons.
  15. I've done about 41/42 onto something. Can comfortably do 37/38 or less.
  16. Used to be a right laugh. My brother once did the whole fifty-something miles on his trials bike. Nutter.
  17. When I learned I found a wall that was about the height of my top headset cup, so an inch or two below bar height, so it was probably around the 36" mark. I started by putting the front tyre on the wall with the first half pedal stroke and then hopping to bashguard. When I got the confidence I started pushing it straight to backwheel instead. As Wayne said, possibly some MBUK/forum tape measures with some numbers missing, but it's all fun and games. Personally I'm not into measuring things, certainly not before I try something. Don't want to be thinking, oh, that's 45 and I've only done 43 before, etc, as you'll put yourself off.
  18. Just because somebody does something you can't it doesn't make it cocky. Is you tapping 40" cocky for someone who can't tap at all?? If you knew Phil you'd know that (unlike some riders I could mention) he's pretty far from being cocky. I think you'll find 'practice' has a lot to do with it.
  19. Probably. He did that wall in Crosby and the car in Preston.
  20. If he can (to back wheel on a vertically faced wall/block), then that's pretty impressive, bearing in mind its just one inch of five whole feet. I'd have to see that to believe it. My taps aren't very good. I've done over 40 but it's not something I practice much.
  21. Cleanbikes or SelectBikes possibly.
  22. Plaz pads and an Odyssey Slic cable. Cartridge v-brake pads (I'm assuming that's what are on there) are dodgy as the pads often rip themselves out of the holders.
  23. Try telling that to Dave Osato. My BMX has a front brake and I don't ride trials on it. If I want to ride trials I get on my trials bike. There's no rule saying that you're only a proper BMX rider if you have no front brake. Go to bmxonline.com and watch the Front Brake Revolution video. And while you're there, check out Mirra's triple-whip attempts...
  24. There isn't a Nazi party. If you're implying the BNP is a Nazi party then that's quite an assumption isn't it? You're quite the biggot aren't you.
