  1. Listen to 'Pick Up Lines' by 'Ugly Duckling'. That'll sort you out. Oh yeah, and if she knocks you back, don't sweat it. Life is full of knock backs. Besides, nothing ventured, nothing gained. "He who dares Rodders, he who dares!"
  2. I particularly liked the bits with that Stephen guy in... Nice vid mate, come and visit the mainland!
  3. 23/24 July, Addingham (Y) (sorry!)
  4. Could someone confirm the date/location please (I know its probably elsewhere on the forum).
  5. It's rather worrying that you'd like us to help you decide by telling you which 'looks better'. Ride the top one.
  6. Natural Selection. The scams mean the thick greedy people get ripped off. Countless times I've watched programs on TV about people who have handed over their life savings of £20k to help 'unlock' £23m that some Nigerian widow has ensconced in an Amsterdam bank account. Jesus, did you really think that big black man loading your cash into his suitcase was really going to 'contact you later' about the 23 million? Fools. I get those damn emails every day, always poor English with some pathetic excuse for a cover story. But still, they must wind in some idiots because these emails keep going round.
  7. I think Phil specialises in bike riding, not film editing. I'm sure there are specialist forums for that kind of think if you would prefer. Nice vid Phil. That phone box line is beefy. I walk past it every day and it just looks impossible.
  8. Why aren't you in New Brighton you big fag packet? Sorted your forks then? Yes. The gap is large.
  9. I've got an A-level in physics (and an S-level for that matter), and if you had a GCSE in English you'd realise that I was purely stating that making a gap into a drop gap does not make it smaller. It might make it slightly easier to do, but the point I was trying to make is that it is still a big f**king gap.
  10. When I first saw Tricks & Stunts I had to have one. Had no money, so I made a crap one of my own to fit to my 18" Raleigh Ascender. No one likes them anymore, but I've got a black one and a couple of yellow ones somewhere. Perhaps we should all built 'retro' trials bikes. That would be cool. Have a comp, where you have to ride a pre-2000 spec bike. Extra points if you wear the correct race-top.
  11. Well perhaps if you'd stuck around for GCSE maths you'd be familiar with Pythagoras Theorem. Making one side higher does not make the gap smaller. In fact, it makes it bigger if you think about it.
  12. Whatever. Personally I think that's a crazy gap. Where abouts is that, south west somewhere?
  13. Don't tell me... a competition for people who stick bits of plastic and ridiculous polished alloy wheels on their cars?
  14. Just think, you're stuck with that squiggle on your arm for the rest of your life.
  15. And £6 is probably about as cheap as you'll get.
  16. Have fun trying to design a website without using HTML. Using Dreamweaver or Flash won't make your site look good - they'll just extend the possibilities. For good websites the code has to be backed up with good graphics. I design the graphics in PSP or Photoshop and then cut them up and build them into an HTML page.
  17. You'd be gutted if you looked in some 'tribal' text and found out it meant 'gobshite'. Either way, I'm not a big fan. I know a few people that have stuff all over their upper arm, but they sort of planned it out at the start rather than walking into a shop and choosing something quick and then just lashing other stuff onto it later.
  18. My current wheel is screwed, so I have a new hub and two rims... an X-lite Phatso (used) and a Tioga DH (new). The wheel isn't built yet, so I thought seeing as I'm building a new wheel anyway I may aswell use the narrower rim. Looks to be 266/267 or 266/268, so about the same. The diameter of the rim is only 1mm different. Thanks for the help.
  19. I had planned to built my Hope XC (mono) onto a BMF (32H). Adam R kindly informed me I'd need 266/268mm spokes to build it (the rim measures 550 with eyelets). I've now decided to use a Tioga Factory DH (32H), as it is 3mm narrower and the 38mm BMF is a squeeze in the frame. Does anybody know (perhaps Adam again?) what length spokes I'd need for this setup? Thanks for any help guys.
  20. I live in Liverpool town centre and the place has gone crazy... still, if 'we' (they) had lost, twice as much stuff would be smashed up. Either way, it doesn't really affect me, but it is nice to see the locals hugging each other and smiling rather than beating the crap out of each other.
  21. Tony Harrison

    Rims?

They only has 'disk' ones, but thanks anyway.
  22. Tony Harrison

    Rims?

As I wrote in my PM, a D521 will easily fit. A 38mm rim goes in those frames without any trouble. Ali, any idea where you can get the Tioga rims from?
  23. Mike Lausman would have done it for a pound.
  24. If you don't mind me asking, what the hell does Quentin Blake (I happen to like his pictures) have to do with D-L-B's post, or the picture he was talking about?
