yeah, someone mentioned it was on tv, was it about the same area (scammonden and blackstone edge)? I am still mega confused by it, it wasnt a glider or a weather baloon.......It was 20ft above my head, close enough for me to hear it rushing through the air!! It was small, slightly larger than a rugby ball I recken. Phil: I was just on the top of the cliffs near the beginning, the rocks carry on up the hill on a slight slope, I lost sight of it as it went over the horizon, I wish I was on higher ground so I could have seen it for longer. Chris: Aparently the bunker is in the dam for Scammonden Res (only steel re-enforced earth dam in the country, or somthing like that)

lol, saw that on top gear! Sounds cheesy with me saying it was a rugby ball (or cigare) shape, everyone always say they are that shape!

ha ha no! not drunk or on drugs:P Couldn't have been an electric redio controlled toy, blackstone edge is on one of the tallest moors in my area, I never saw anyone with a controller and its too remote up there for the radio signals to reach from any houses. Plus, it didn't have any wings, propellor or any visible signs of propulsion. If you want to get into conspiracies "apparently" there's a secrete underground bunker in a dam of a nearby resevoir.

peeps! I was enjoying a lovley summers day ride at blackstone edge with stan yestderday, clear skys, brill weather! I was having a breather and I heard a sound of rushing air, I looked up and there was a rugby ball shaped (and sized) object flying through the air about 20ft directly above us at roughly 30pmh. I am REALLY confused as to what it was!! It wasn't a bird (no wings, head or tail feathers to be seen), wasn't petrol powered (cuts out radio controlled toys), it was totally silent, the only reason I looked up was because I heard the sound of rushing air. It wasn't thrown by anyone as there was no one near enough. I lost sight of it as it went over the rocky horizon. Anyone got any ideas? I almost thought it was some kind of missile and half expected an explosion. Apparently the surrounding area is well known in the UFO community, I am normally sceptical, but I honestly cant think of an explination! (stan dipped out and never heard or saw anything!! grr) Anyone else seen anything?

THE WORST BIKE I HAVE OWNED! I HAVE ALSO OWNED: MONTY URBAN MONTY 221 X LITE 20" PASHLEY 26MHZ MBK T1000 MERLIN DIRT JUMP BIKE AND PROBABLY MORE I CAN'T REMEMBER.

not really fond of any of them

cool stuff, I didn't mind the music, I found it nicer than screemo shouto noise. I did notice one thing though...when you gap, you jump back before you go. you're making the gap nearly a foot bigger than it needs to be! I recken you'll be gapping further if you take off from the edge.

as I said on the phone, I think the trialtech bars and simtra stem would be perfect! You said your setup was a tad low, the trialtech bars have more upsweep than your onzas so should bring the front up a bit (as well as feel amazing) I use a trialtech stem as well, some people find it a tad tall, so the simtra stem should bring it slightly lower and closer which sounds just what your after at your hight. Its also worth experimenting with spacers when you fit your forks, find a hight you find best then cut the forks. PS, welcome to the world of stocks!

looks cool! might be hard to recreate though By the way, people are welcome to ride the quarry as it is, just beware of the machines working up there.
-
when trialtechs are out, they are a different (better) design....thought I would point that one out
-
cheers buddy. I must point out thats only one of the ares being developed, plus they look better/more impressive in real life
-
lol, I know everyone of those rocks in that vid! Because of that I know how hard they are.....very! For someone who says natural isnt their thing, I think it should be!!
-
lol! I can see bessel is looking....get your pics up geez!

yep, cheers to the slingers, they have put a lot of work into these events, also to the observers giving up their day....ta! Well done to Savage the elite win, also to Tim Steadman for yet another win (on form this year!)

ok, update time. Just got back from the 3rd round of the British Champs held at the quarry. Phase one of the trials areas is nearly completed but there was still enough to hold some pretty decent sections. I chatted to a few people and I never heard one negative comment about the quarry, so it seems like the work is successful so far. Still to come are concrete tubes/shapes, imported rocks (limestone, granit) more logs, possibly some tyres and concrete sleepers. I could do with some feedback from whoever rode the quarry today, liked what was there? should I change any thing? What would you like to see there? Hopefully there will be some pics up for those who wern't there to see. Phase 2 will start in a couple of months time and I am hoping there will be even more phases in the future.

make sure you havn't bent the pulling arm and making it catch on the bolt behind, I have had that happen a few times.

sorry, but I can never forgive you for typing "everything" in an over the top essex way!

as said, yes you can grind it, but don't expect to get it parallel with the frame, you would almost deffo go though the top of the rim making it useless.
