  1. bout 44" at the mo...best is 47" I do have this to say though...there is more to trials than sidehops, sure the're handy, but please dont spend all your time trying to get that one inch higher (like some riders do), try everything and your hights will improve with time.

    Hope Stems

yep...I had one, it slipped lots when I first got it, but not so much leter on. I also snapped a bolt trying to tighten it enough not to slip. good stems though, if you get one it might be worth just roughening up the steerer with a grinder or somthing to aid grip.
  3. = me having to almost use tar at one pont. vees are still far better than maggies in feel and power...it just takes a bit of time and money to find the right setup, normally costing more than maggies. You can get very decent working vees for cheap though!
  4. out of those two...control I would also get the short virsion.....much more fun. BUT...if I had more choice of frames I wouldnt get either of those two.
  5. I dont see the point in going out every weekend. I dont drink (last time I did was nearly a year ago) but when I do drink I go all out and get smashed as its a rare feeling to be like that and can make a nice change. But I find going to the pub with a couple of mate REALLY boring!! I dont wanna sit and talk, I wanna do somthing!
  6. made my eyes bleed, couldnt watch it all. But I guess we all had to learn at somepoint. gets some credit too if he (both) has only been riding for 7 months though.
  7. doesn look like we are camping anywhere...iolo wants to go on a date WITH A GIRL!! on sunday
  8. f**king immense!!! best riding I have seen for a looooong time, very origional to, kinda the stuff I try, but cant do
  9. give it to aran instead...I missed his birthday pressie
  10. I am suprised by the amount of people saying pythons and so on....they are THE WORST bikes I have ever ridden, I also hate all high bb frames (like the adamant) they are all just glorified pogo sticks!! anyway....best frame I recken was the echo pure.......first light yet unbreakable frame out....legendary!!
  11. bracken? ROCKS?? Sounds good to me I am pretty sure iolo, myself and maybe waddy are comming do we need to pay to get in? also..anyone wanna camp at a nearby quarry and ride there on sunday? also mike...you owe me some pads seeing though I like you so much
  12. I sent my entry in via email (Alastair Clarkson) I presume we pay on the day? or do we actually have to send an entry form with money? I cant wait
  13. I am the opposite...I love the commentator, its normally the same guy. kinda like listening to your dad talking or somthing, very friendly and makes mistakes (but corrects them) so it makes it come across as a normal person who knows about trials instead of some trials talking machine! very impressive riding anyway, makes me wanna get my bike up and running even more
  14. I sent my entery off via email last week (I believe it says you can do that on the site?) ...I cant wait
  15. I am also tempted to get an alex rim...the 06 echo rims are TURD!! worst rims I have ever used. Not liking the narrowness of the alex though actually...my bikeshop (blazing saddles) has 1 planet x bmf rim in...its 36 hole though (dam these echos being 32!) when I get my hope hub I will probably get that
  16. cant stand the taste of alcohol...so ribena or pineapple juice for me
  17. I did most of my improvment on my ti global frame.... I had already been riding for years, but when I rode that bike my comp results went up. the year I was on that bike I got: 3rd porthcawl trophy master catt (beaten olny by two world champs!) 4th tech 04 masters british champ overall (winning all rounds!) thats the best year of results I have had.
  18. I want somthing like that... I have a real problem with arm pump when using my braking finger..... my powerball doesnt seem to help as I am keeping my fingers still rather than moving them which is where I get my problem. I thinks I need to make somthing
  19. I got a bit fed up of my long control. It just didnt seem to fit me, doing stuff was a task rather than fun. I even found it too much to handle for comps....there was too much bike to move around. I now have a medium Ashton, but it also has a steeper head angle...now this is bad for a couple of things, but overall it makes the bike pretty fun and flicky. When riding street I find doing the same old move pretty boring (sidehop this..tap that etc).... I like to make it fun and involve manuals, wall rides, pivots etc basicly when riding street I treat my bike like a bmx. I mostly like to ride rocks though and my shorter streetier bike seems to suit me better for that too. Long bikes are still great and will be popular....but I recken people should run them with a shorter stem and risers...it would open out much more stuff and be a lot more fun.
  20. I would ague that it doesnt make any difference well, I couldnt tell between the two engagment wise.
  21. dont think I ever saw this imfamous rock...sounds tricky
  22. I just found the hope to be much more "confident" in its engagment, you could kinda feel it though the bike clicking in....gives a really confidence inspireing feel. Couldnt tell the difference in engagments from my king Lighter, I know the pro 2 is....not sure about the trials one....a kink with hd axle and funn bolts does add up. BRITTISH made!!! the best customer service EVER! dishless wheel...and room for 6 gears for comps or singlespeed...PERFECT!!
