    Local Skaters

    they are fine round here
  3. gahhh, this dam tuck has plagued me for aaaages, I can do it, but only if I land front wheel first, then pivot the bike to the side....I just cant make myself put it to the side of me on the way up
  4. I agree with chris.... a mod will get you good quick, so if you wanna impress your mates and look good quick go for mod. However, you wont learn the skills as much as you would on a stock......a mod is kinda handing you skill on a plate. Stocks take longer to learn on (debatable) but you need to move your body about more (body english) to get good results....this is really good for you in the long run as when you start going bigger you already know the body movment, just need to make them bigger.........with a mod, the bike does half the work. Thats the reason why I started on stock, its just so much more satisfiying than mod. also, I see just about every new rider getting a mod, then they just learn to back wheel and just do that all the time, as if their front wheel doesnt exist....it drives me up the wall....whatever bike you get, just remember that theres more to rear wheel control

    Koxx Days 06

wayne!! You need to chat with Iolo and tell him all that needs doing, kick his ass into gear and look up ferrys and get the right forms and so on. I would, but I am a forgetful faggot and wouldnt be much help atall.
  6. disk for sure.... ....dont worry about landing on it, its all in the mind! Think you will land on it and theres more chance you will.....think about not hitting it and making the move, you will be suprised how much difference it makes. Anyway, even if you do hit a disk, they are harder to break than you would think....sure you may bend the roter a touch and it might rub, but its not like we are riding big distances where it would be a problem.......I havnt had a free running disk since....well...forever!

    What Can We Do?

grow older and get some nice trialsin muscles.....also have a personailty that is hard to piss off, but if someone REALLY gets at you, you go phyco! helps a lot I think good insurence is the best bet, if theres just a small group or less, you have a good chance of defending yourself, but if they have wepons then just let it go and think of the nice shiney new one you will get. Also if your not on the bike, taking the chain off, or putting the tpa right on so the wheels wont turn is a good idea, its gonna be harder to get away with a bike if you have to run off holding it. Maybe even somthing simple like putting a stick through the spokes if you leave the bike would work?

    Fatmike Video 5

very good mike It was weird, kinda creepy with the weird noise when the camer moved. You dont see many people doing that backwards hop to front wheel either, I saw jez aivrey doing in mbuks getta grip, so I had to learn it!! its pretty fun
  9. I agree with JT, tensiles are stiffer than a 14 year old in a strip club!! Dunno where you heard they were flexy?
  10. I am actually suprised with the amount of people who reccomed the plazmatics....I dont think they are that great, especially in the wet. for decent braking you cant go wrong with coust heatsink reds koxx bloxx greens, reds, blues
  11. I am also about 80% natural and 20% street, but I am lucky and live local to lots of great rocky areas. Street is too repetative, a 45" high wall is much the same as any other 45" high wall, where as in natural no two rocks are the same. Also, how can street be more dangerous? They are on nice flat places with drops normally no bigger than up to 10ft. A few of my local rocky places are on steep slopes and are slippert, rough etc....if you fell you would bounce down the rocky hillside for about 50 yards or so, plenty painfull.
  12. lol, I didnt even try sidehops untill my 3rd year of riding

    Koxx Days 06

yeah, I wanna go, though the whole thought of driving through france with Iolo does make me nervous! I would like to go for the week, but its up to Iolo, need to see if he (and me) can afford it. I recken we should follow you down wayne, get the same ferry an all, will be easier for us (trying) to follow someone who knows the way a bit more.
  15. well, I totally hated mine, couldnt stand it, but some people (crazy ones ) like high bbs, so make up your mind when you get it other than the descusting way it rides, its a nice frame (not the best looking mind), but it has nice details, stiff back end.
  16. looking likley that I will FINALLY have a working bike, so count me in
  17. years ago my brother went on a cycling holiday in bolivia, I was soo jelous of his bike I just had to have one, so I got a mtb and took up riding (nothing in particular, just did a few rides and so on) I then started doing tricks and loved showing off, I wished there was just a form of biking that was just tricks...I got an issue of mbuk and saw martyn ashton, martin haywes and hans ray riding over stuff, I thought it was amazing and so started trials. back then no one really did trials, so it wasnt like there were any trials riders local to me for me to watch. If I had seen bmxing, I probably would have taken that up instead.
  18. I have never hit anyone I didnt know (they guy I did hit was my best friend, until he turned into a right chav and was fireing stones at me with a blackwidow catapalt) being 21 and having nice upper body strength from riding is cool, I dont really get intimedated by people, unless theres a group of them (though I recken I could manage up to three on my own) I am a bit weary of hitting chavs though, they may carry knives...if one pulled a blade out and threatened me with one I would shit me kegs! but yeah, never really been in a situation where violence was needed. Oh and Josh, I didnt realise they were trying to nick your bag in hebden, they guy who did it is ok with me (was in my class at school) so I would have had a word with him. Anyway, I dont recken theres anyone chavlike in hebden I couldnt beat in a fight.
  19. speed was ok, but your technique needs work. They way you did it then is kinda the old skool way of doing it, with just a left right pedal motion. You also stopped pedaling a long way from the wall and kinda manualed into it. Also you hit it pretty high and didnt crouch or jump at all (your body just stayed in the same place through the move, thats why you ended up with your ass on yur tyre when you landed) Try and do it this way......get a full pedal revoloution in there (left, right, left!), leave it a bit later before you pedal at it, so your just finnished pedaling (or still pedaling a little) when your front wheel hits. Aim the front wheel lower and really plow into it, this will get you more hight with less effort. (dont forget to crouch as you get near the wall and jump up just as you hit it) A good tip I recken is to not put your back brake on straight away, let the rear wheen roll up the wall a little bit, it really helps you just fly up them, trust me. give it a try
  20. I got the impression from the first post that it was a game that was comming out. If its been made by a student then I have more respect for it.

    Tm2

sexcellent!! nice to see riders from down south who I never get to see much and places I need to ride (saw LOADS of lines that I wanna do! ) Nice that I was in for two clips...shame you didnt get my crash though thanks very much for that, very nice of you
  22. cant go wrong with either the onzaz or zoos, both are top bars.
  23. I agree, I get very bored of vids pople just doing the same thing over and over. it doesnt need to be natual to have sections, but just that more than move per clip on street would be nice.
