  1. Remember to get the wilko's metal cutting disc. Its in a league of its own.
  2. Thats your problem right there. The metal grinding discs are softer so they wear at a similar rate to your rim as your grinding it. Which results in the beginning being nice and sharp but the end being duller and shallower. Get a metal cutting disc from wilko's Its like £2 and even trying to do a light grind with them will result in some canyon-like grooves in the rim. When i gave jonny mc a light grind with this new disc from wilko's it was harsh enough to shave pad material off his rockpad blues just by spinning the wheel on the spot. There was pad dust everywhere. Using one of those, holding at around 80 degrees and pressing down enough so you can atually hear the grinder speed slowing down will give you one of the harshest grinds on the planet. Though be warned, theres a high chance that using this disc with so much weight behind it theres a higher chance of you making a mistake and cutting a slot into your rim
  3. Don't suppose you used mozilla firefox did you? If you did and it saved your password you can retrieve it
  4. But some people like to just buy something that works rather than bodge cheaper gear. Myself, well i built my own tensioner... its the best tensioner i've ever used and can be sidehopped to without any problem.
  5. If its not obvious from danny's pic, he's sidehopping from the left to the right Yo danny, read your camcorder's manual and turn that HDR-like effect off.
  6. . lol. I liked the last episode. Made me want more, which i'm guessing was the intention of the creators. Hopefully it'll be just as good in the second series and not stray off the plot a bit? Yeah good one. Just because you've seen the ending doesn't mean others have.
  7. Your plane crashes in the ocean, you survive it and coincidentally happen to land next to the entrance of this underground city, in which all the inhabitants have gone a bit loony and you have to go round fighting all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures in various different ways.
  8. If you want it to last longer lean onto it with your shoulder more and try to sweep across the rim faster. This'll put deeper grooves into it that should keep you going for a good 4-6 weeks or so.
  9. Yep, if you buy it through steam it still gets registered with SecuRom who are in charge of the whole 2 installations malarky. Its also more expensive to buy the game without the box disc and manual
  10. You helped me find some sticker templates when i needed them. There was a plan for this points board but i've forgotten what it was
  11. Anyone spending £100 on a tensioner is an idiot... especially when something as fantastic as a rohloff is available for only £59.99
  12. I don't have a 360 so i'll be buying it on the PC, when they sort out the whole "you can only install it twice" fiasco.
  13. krisboats: stik roabs - a gown or cloak for thin people roba's kits - a set of tools for a cockney thief.
  14. If you do it clockwise the notches "face" different directions on each side of the rim. Meaning good forwards and backwards grip. Having the notches facing upwards doesn't really improve the bite of the brake but does make the pads wear down faster.
  15. There's this from the wikipedia page here. Whilst its not the grind i did in that video it is the kind of grind i usually go for. I held the grinder at about 40 degrees and only slightly leaned in with my shoulder whilst grinding. It was enough to give a nice sharp bite without wearing the pads quickly. The grind also lasted through some joypads (shown in picture) and a set of second hand plazzies.
  16. Hope that was mine, if not i have competition Thread topic here
  17. I like that site. It also interestingly puts the 8600gt roughly 8-9 cards and the 7600gt roughly 12-14 cards behind the x1950pro in most of the scenarios
  18. Seriously dude, have you even tried using google? Within 2 minutes on google and the third result i cam across "The little blue arrow bubble should disappear once you publish the site, and view it online or from the disc. They are there when you are designing the site and disappear once it is published." In fact most of the answers to these questions can be found in a matter of a couple of minutes on google.
  19. Thats not really the case at all. You define your price range, look at the cards nearest the top end of it and see whcih one is the fastest in the games you want to play. If he's spending £100 on a card the main features are all going to be the same except for DX10, which at the current point in time actually creates a FPS loss so buying a crapper card because it has a feature that'll make it run even worse is quite a retarded approach. If you have to buy a card now, its gotta be an x1950... unless you can wait till the geforce 9*** series comes out and the price of the current 8800gts's comes down to the £100 mark.
  20. Yeah, there was a big thread about them on here like 2 years ago.
  21. 8mm drill bit will do the job nicely. Just wiggle it round a bit and sit proud as your valve slides in and out efforlessly.
  22. Yeah the ATI card will be fine. Just run a driver cleaning utility to make sure theres absolutely no nvidia drivers left before you install the ATI card/drivers.
  23. I make a very conscious effort to move my body weight forwards on the bike whilst on two wheels, then swing the bars forwards sweeping in a big arc up to infront of my face. Mind you i am bunnyhopping a t-rex with a 130mm stem so anything under that and you probably won't need the "big-arch" technique
