  1. That was quality, i really liked it and the camera angles were ptretty damn good too. Should have got some sponsor money from panasonic for that I liked the filming, the editing and the riding was pretty damned impressive too. Definately worth a watch.
  2. Okay, after having a look at the massive planning and regulations and things i think the single big ride idea is going to be too hard to pull off. My plan was try and get permission by the local authorities to have maybe a large are of town square/open space.... maybe even a road and then have a large demo for the public, with people getting sponsorship money from people at home and things (think sponsored silence type sponsorship) and then setting up an area and having people with collection buckets collecting donations from the audiences. I've really been looking into it and from what i can tell all we need is planning permission, to fill out a form about collecting money in public (to do with tax and stuff), insurance coverage, media coverage and riders/obstacles. I don't want this idea to flop, but it is going to be hard. I best get e-mailing some councils and things today asking for advice and venues and things. EDIT: I agree with the DJ inspired idea too, and raising money for somethign along the lines of young offender correctional facilities/youth sports facilities.
  3. Right then, my reply in the thread about trials ridings effect on global destruction got me thinking. Everyone says we need to get trials more mainstream, loads of people moan we're just silly kids on bikes being anti-social... why not do a massive charity publicity stunt? I'm not talking small scale here, i'm thinking like a massive event on the scale of the london marathon and similar events. If we could get enough people and get them sponsored with enough money we could pull something like this off, get some coverage by newspapers and film crews if its possible. Something on a completely massive scale. It would get trials in the limelight, show we cared and aren't antisocial immature children, would get everyone together for the biggest ride we've ever had and most importantly we'd be raising money to help people who need help. Cancer research, RSPCA, NSPCC... there's so many different organisations that we could help out. However i think if its going to happen we need to see who would turn up and whether you would take part or not. This is going to need serious planning and commitment should it get that far, but its something i would be proud to be a part of. EDIT: Yes, i'm aware i put rainsing funds... just can't change it
  4. :$ Maybe... means i'll need a new avatar though I wasn't gonna say anything.
  5. Maybe got a friend to log on as well, he could easily give username / password to someone over msn so they can log in for him. Either way, checking the ip's of posts that have already been made at the beginning of the thread before everybody informed him of how the internet works is the easiest solution.
  6. Him being offline is actually more of a point to you being the same person... because you can't be logged on on both accounts at the same time on the same pc. You log off, he logs on and your displayed as offline, you log off again and log in on the other account and again, only one of you will be online. You've been rumbled stop trying.
  7. Okay here it is simply. You have the same IP address as two other accounts, either this has happened accidentally (with the odds being about the same as winning the lottery) or your lying and using the same pc. Its going to be easy to check because i highly doubt that your home address, this guys home address and the "school computer" that got left on could all have the same ip address. Its easily checkable against the times all the accounts have posted things because if your lying theyll still be the same.. which is impossible because the school will be shut at this time of night. You also have almost exactly the same kind of spelling inconsistancies, not defining of you lying but again, its highly unlikely that should the ip's be the same accidentally that you would both be of the same age and grammatical ability. Basdically your lying so stop moaning and live with it.
  8. There an alright one about 5 minutes from the town centre, go from notts town centre (where the lion statues are) and head towards the arena... there'll be one on the right hand side as your going down the hill.
  9. You can tell by the way the dan the trials man account user has posted so many times saying he's worried that he's lieing. He's trying to sound convincing and serious so he's overdoing it. I'm pretty sure it is possible for peopl to share the same I.P address but as far as i was aware it doesn't happen very often, and the chances of both IP addresses being used by lads of the same age on the same forum who both illiterately make their posts in a confused and unclear manner is so absolutely miniscule its beyond belief. Think an atom, being split, then having one of those particles split.... its probably smaller than that
  10. I know, i was like shit me, their gonna die... and all of a sudden ... their off again ! I think its just that the americans do something this time of year and all the shows get put on hold. I don't know if they do re-runs and what not but over christmas the shows don't have any new episodes. Its the same with most of their shows, lost, prison break, smallville, supernatural, stargate, one tree hill... etc. I think the only one thats having new episodes during december is scrubs. And its the 29th of january for the next prison break and the 7th of february for lost.
  11. Okay so the majority of people are against pollution and emmissions and stuff. Is there any organisations that deal with conrtibutions for this sort of thing. Why not put these opinions and peoples obvious concern about the topic into action? Your saying we can't do anything... why not actively publicise recycling and saving energy? If we were to get say a a third of this forum for the biggest ride we have ever seen and have it as a sponsored event, or even multiple ones taking place all over the country. If we had a thousand riders who could get even just £10 sponsorship money for us to do something on our silly little bikes then we'd have raised £10,000. Couple of phone calls to different places and some newspapers and we'd have coverage of us doing it, something like this is what we need. A massive charity event that gets trials into the public eye, it'd be such an increase in coverage of the sport it'd be insane. We could have it as something like if we can ride round london or wherever on our silly little geared bikes why can't everyone else use their bikes more. Why have we never done massive sponsored rides before? Cancer, poverty, famine, energy/global warming... the list is endless. People want trials to become popular but how are people going to know about it if we can't show them? Something like this would be a good way to quickly and easily get publicity for the sport and at the same time point out to the public that we're not just out to destroy their flowers and walls.
  12. Have a go in photoshop, it only takes a few minutes to turn an image like that into a logo style image... takes a bit longer if you have loads of fiddly bits around the rider though.
  13. Yep he's right, you bought the wrong type of rear mech for it. You could try boding a piece of metal onto it though and make your own hanger, but you'll need to drill though the dropout and bolt it again as well to securely hold it in place.
  14. [attachmentid=8417] One i did ten minutes ago.
  15. Ha ha, i would guess so, but to really top it off... if you look closely i think he's running koxx soxx as well as koxx bloxx on his koxx boxx
  16. Cheers, made me laugh.
  17. I would say the saracen mad 2.six is an alright riding frame, the components on it are a bit cheap but if you were able to get hold of a omplete build for under £100 then i'd get one for sure, especially if your just starting out. This way you'll ahve time to get an idea of waht sort of thing your into and about what kind of parts would suit you best, hence allowing you to upgrade it if and when you need to. Alternatively have a look at the PHASE range of trials bikes. They are the MAD bit of saracen MAD (they used to be two companies working together till MAD split and created their own bikes) and have just/are just about to release a new range of bikes that compete with the saracens price wise, only with a better build and as far as i'm aware, a better design. So if its a cheap under £100 job then get it, if its retail price from a shop get a PHASE bike instead.
  18. Well if it pissed you off you shouldn't be using a forum where opinions are expressed. I said at first i didn't beleive him, which like everyone else has said is understandable, i then go on to give condolences and hope he gets to the bottom of what happened. Like other people have said pete's constant "exagerations" have brought this upon himself, nobody beleives what he says anymore... its a real life case of the boy who cried wolf, only its the pete who cried inventor of everything, owner of fastest pc in england, relative to multiple owners of leading bike companies, been everywhere and done everything. Sorry about filling a tragic thread with crap, and sorry again to hear it pete.
  19. Ha ha, i hadn't seen it... and what should be the banner displayed at the time of reading, that exact one. Nice find
  20. You dirty filthy bitch! This best not be for you... i thought you were going mod... if you get a shiny new coust i think i might just die
  21. Fastest way is to make a new layer by copying the background layer onto the new layer tab in the layers window. Then left click on this new layer, go to image> adjustments and desaturate> This'll turn it black and white. Then you do the same again with copying the background layer and place this as the top layer, the image will be in colour again. Left click this new coloured top layer, then select the eraser tool, choose an appropraite brush size and just wipe off the colour you dont need. Take care in detailed bits and use a giant brush to save time in large areas you want to have black and white. Edit: As to doing the frame, just use whichever method you see most appropriate, either cut it out using a lassoo tool or use the eraser method, maybe a combination of botth... lossely lassoo the frame then erase the crap from round the edges.
  22. He's right, just forward the e-mail to an ebay rep and they'll sort it out for you. They'll probably tell you not to do anything and ebay never asks for your details anyway so you know its not legit from that alone. Nothing to worry about though.
  23. Actually jonny "Notts Ride Sunday 2/12/06 (thats The Sunday Coming Up)" Its the saturday coming up. If its saturday i can if its sunday i can't.
