  1. Ha ha my muscles are all aching too, we did ride quite solidly didnt we lol. Find a girl, get her to give you a massage... does the trick good and proper. If you can't find a girl just stretch a bit or go out riding for a bit again, should loosen up your muscles a bit and leave you feeling a bit better.
  2. I'm doing a foundation in art and design, though i travel from home on the train everyday.
  3. Don't really like it, i think its the toptube that i don't like. 40mm bb rise is too much for me too.
  4. I'm at loughborough uni as well. Can bring the bike along anyday of the week for riding after uni No point going riding with boumsong, he's shit and has no bike at the minute
  5. I dunno, i'd imagine they concentrate more on the structural shape of something when they imagine it, i'd think that they have a much better perception on the shape of things through feel and the way they mentally project that "image" into their brain. I guess, i'd imagine them to mentally visualise things like a monochrome picture, no defining colour but a slight change in tone to help them distinguish between different parts of their mental image. Without having ever asked a blind person i wouldn't know though, anybody know a blind person that wont be offended if you ask them? Can blind people draw well?
  6. Boumsong went from a king to a hope mono and after a little while his riding had actually improved, no more random stampage... he was pre-loading them peddles. Same with conner going from being used to his eno to using my hope xc, after half an hour or so he was fine with it.
  7. Mountain bikers are heavy jerky and old-school, i don't see what your problem is. If he meant mountain bike trials he'd have said that, but i reckon he's trying to say mountain bike STREET riders, as in with sus forks and stuff. I may be wrong, i may not, but having not read the article and having only what you've written to go on thats the way it comes across to me. As to being a top level rider... how many trials riders get frequent coverage and full articles in a national/going worldwide magazine? Yes, he's one of them. Again i think it just depends on how you interpret what he's said, maybe he didn't mean a top level rider in the sense of being the furthest gapper/highest tapper and all that shit, maybe he meant as in being a top level rider in a coverage/limelight sense. And if danny's not riding comps only street, then effectively he is taking trials riding away from comps. Maybe not by a lot but the fact he doesnt compete anymore and makes a living riding street and making signature frames means that other people may follow his example... taking them away from the comp route. Again, if you re-read it it doesnt single danny out as doing it, he says riders LIKE danny. So combine them all together and you get a bunch of people not entering comps anymore and still leading a fun life, this bunch of people are almost definately going to influence the way some people view the sport and they'll think why should they bother with comps either. As to the trackies, i couldn't care less. Theres no definitive way of dressing for riding trials in public, so who's to say one persons way is better than the other... wear what you wanna wear, simple as. I just go for practical/comfort clothing myself.
  8. Maybe, but i wont be there till 11.30 so if he's there at 11.00 then i wont be able to. I'll be at crown court 11.30.
  9. Yeah, unfortunately till i get some spar cash i'll be running my left and jonny's right truvavtiv cranks. Definately going for ISIS burns though.
  10. Onza make that hanger banger thing, never tried/seen one but there on tarty's if you want to have a look. Alternatively look into a steel mech hanger? Iolo or edd potts could sort you one out.
  11. Well i got invited to a pre-paid showing of this film tonight. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, i found it quite hard to beleive that anybody not looking like brosnan could be james bond so you might say i went in as quite a sceptical member of the audience. First few opening scenes were very gritty, dark scenes that protrayed bond as being a kind of rogue agent that was generally little more than an exagerated hitman. Craigs performance began exceptionally well, he really captured the way bond was an almost evil kind of character, with lots of anger and a sinister mood he really stood out from the other bonds as not having a lot of difference to a typical villian. Throughout the film his acting never dropped below the standard of those first few opening scenes and in quite a few places it was even better. As the film progressed you got to see how bond began to understand how he should work as an agent and what was expected of him, he still manages to retain the (quoting johnathon ross) "come and have a go if you think your hard enough" approach despite becoming a more reasoning and likeable character. The film itself features almost no CG effects, well none that are obviously notable like the last few films (stupid planes flying through directed beams of sunlight as just one example). The effects were actually co-ordinated and enacted, giving a much more realistic feel to the film. There were no bits that crossed out of the realms of beleivability so made the film even better than ones before it. The storyline has many twists and turns, some of which are predictable but others leave you suprised as you just don't see them coming. The overall storyline was great and other leading parts were played well too, M was seen to be a very menacing yet caring character. As the film ended your left with a feeling that daniel craig has earned his title of bond and that you wonder how you doubted it in the first place. In my eyes he IS bond and does it so convincingly, the delivery of the famous line is an anticipated one but that builds up just how good it is. In summary, sorry for the rambling and the film is great, go watch it
  12. The court, gives people something to do while they wait for me to catch a later train after having missed the one i originally intended to get.
  13. Oh my fookin god, reckon i can sleep a solid 16 or so hours so the time passes quicker between now and tomorrow night in notts? I can't f**kin wait   Is there much of the new stuff in contrast to the old or is it a fairly even mix between album hits?
  14. I would f**kin love 28" wheels, it'd be mental. 28", 1200 wheelbase, 20mm bb rise, 380mm stays. My ideal bike, and one that i'd still bunnyhop
  15. ebay for crank arms, square taper arms usually go for around £40-50 with only xc/dh use so no trials scratches. Then you can pick up a bash/chainring off here for cheap.
  16. If their not that good why have they got a half price replacement policy? Its a shit load more than koxx have, yeah koxx are an innovative company but its us that has to pay for these innovations, making their products far more overpriced than their competitors. And without a warranty to back up their renoundedly easily broken products they aren't the best company in the world. Theres many people who think try-all rims are cheese rims, deano it means weak as cheese... i.e not very strong. I always got told they dent easily mind you i've never tried them myself so i can't really say. I can however say that my ronnie rim had around 30 grinds before i officially classed it as being dead, something that a lot of rims woudn't even think of withstanding. It did end up snapping cracking having the pins snap and being dented in almost every section of the left sidewall but it was still fairly true. However, i would advise you to get an 07 echo rim, their supposed to be really good, i'll get one when i eventually get a new wheel.
  17. My surly one wobbles a bit too when its not done up, as soon as i did it up it was more or less held in place, think of it this way mate, the cogs only ever going to be pulled in one direction so wobblage wont matter after you've ridden it a few minutes. My surlys wobbly on a hope XC too if that helps.
  18. No i'm all for having decent parts on my bike, i just don't like it when people try and bling up their bikes using bullet/dice/skull dust caps and get nearly everything on their bike anodised.
  19. So are the koxx forks +30mm then? Can't say i've ever really looked at koxx forks so i dont have a clue. Could you not have one made specially, seeing as you know all these people and your dad owns EBC, they makes brakes for all sorts of things as i'm sure your well aware. Maybe get him to make you a one off? I think if your going to be this fussy about how it looks the only real option is to get one custom built, though i don't know where you'd need to go or who you'd need to ask for this.
  20. My bikes shiny wudn't really class it as being pimped though, i have a blue hub and skewers, but again, that was more of it being down to seeing bargains. I don't run dust caps, have black tyres, no seat, and everything else is either silver or black. As you can tell i think pimping a bike royally sucks and makes you look like a spoilt fag, fair enough you might not have had it all payed for you by mummy and daddy but at first glance thats the way it seems.
  21. Just one problem with yours shaun, t-rex frame takes an internal/integrated headset thing so a king wouldn't fit.
  22. Technically they havn't done anything wrong. Yeah their selling stolen goods but if they don't know their stolen they can't be blamed for anything. You get some guys come into the shop with 3 bikes that want a part-ex for a better bike how are you going to know their stolen. Sure you can take their name and details but they aren't gonna be correct (unless they're really that thick). I don't think ebay will do anything about it. Definately get the police first, take pictures with you and the crime number you got when you reported them stolen and they should be able to go down and collect the bike. Saves hassle and won't give the guy a chance to get rid of it first, just do it quickly before it gets sold.
  23. 2.5 high roller on the rear 2.3 tioga DH on the front
  24. Echo Hi-Fi: 2.7 Maxxis high roller, only just and rubbed on the frame when rim buckled. Alex dx32/bmf/megamo 38mm rim.
