I think that the video competetion needs a radical make-over. I've always thought the idea of "a day in the city" competetion is fantastic. That would be fun fun fun. Let each rider choose an editor. Maximum section length of 5 minutes. There are loads of riders that I'd like to see in a video sometime again soon. There are a load of UK riders editing some nifty videos every week. There are a load of spots that can be rinsed in the UK. People will cheat. *sigh*

There's a mental drop-gap to rail at Watergate Bay. As you go down the small road towards the bistro/beach, there are some stairs coming down from the car park, with a handrail that flattens out at one point. It's certainly doable but it's a beasty line. Just some thing I have noticed on my travels... I :mellow: North Cornwall. Head down to Polzeath every summer. I think I am classed as an "emmet" :ermm:"

"When's the weekend?" Martyn Ashton, back in the day. Summer 2003 was rad, spent most of the long hot months at Reading Uni running away from ferocious security guards. First time at NASS, riding Henley, Windsor and Reading with all the locals, going further afield to places like Bristol and Swindon. Good times. I can't wait for summer again this year, not too sure how much the old trials bike will get involved... but yeah, roll on summer!

You can park in Tesco's... it's along Napier Road. It runs alongside the train track on this picture. About a 3 minute ride to the station. There is also free parking on Kenavon Road (bottom-right). There are a load of big warehouse stores (B&Q, Homebase etc) and a McDonalds that all share a big car park. Both are about 3-4 mins from the station.

There's a ghetto skatepark in that car park. People turn up and dump cars there, it's great. Have fun, though I'm giving this one a miss :blink:

There is a massive motorcycle jump across the canyon that I came across... I don't really know how to explain where it is! If you go to the top of the mountain in the desert, where you do a mission shooting down helicopters with a rocket launcher, there is a hut visible. There is a walkway constructed of wood that leads towards a cliff, where you can attempt to jump the canyon, though I have never made it, and I have tried on a PCJ600 and a Sanchez - so not quite sure if it is indeed doable. But still, worth a look-in.

Aye, I'd have to agree. I think I have the same ones, Sony Fontopia in-ear jobbies? You can get them for £26 off amazon.co.uk. They are really comfortable and don't fall out, not only that - because they block out nearly all outside noise you can play your music quieter... so your portable music thingymabob's battery lasts longer.

I like it how the people causing the arguements in this thread choose to compare you to the world champions... accolade or what! Real trials? There's no such thing. Trials encompasses a whole load of different styles and techniques. I know this thread was meant to be a discussion about these different variations, but we're all riding our bikes, and we're all riding trials, hopefully all having fun... I really don't understand why people have to look down on the other sub-disciplines of trials and brandish it "shit." I won't go on, as I'll end up repeating what other more level-headed people on here have already said. Above all, enjoy your riding, for now. You'll probably have grown out of doing silly tricks on funny little bikes by the time you've finished uni, most probably before...

The probability that the car is behind one of the doors is a third. When you find out that a goat is behind one of the doors the probability of the car being behind the same door is still one third. The other door now has a two-thirds probability of having a car behind it... So you should switch doors. Thats the answer to the solution (some poncey twatty public school kid asked me this problem when I was at a university interview, saying it's the kinda stuff that they will ask you...) apparantly... although I still think it's 50-50 myself.
