  1. This is true... although I think disc mounts should be categorised: Disc mounts, and disc mounts that are actually usable and not just a waste of aluminium! (KOT, Simtra and MBK of recent frames off the top of my head.)
  2. This is the tool you need: http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=142 Best way to remove it is clamp the tool in a vice, then just use the crank arm itself as leverage (standard right-hand thread). Cheers Adam
  3. And up here Sea defence rocks are boooo-riinngg...
  4. Because pigeon sounds more random And batman, and slug, and pigeon roll, and pigeon drop... haha Try shifting your arms more - try and punch the air as you do it, that should help.
  5. You bob your head like a pigeon while doing one! Better than 'smoke' Pah...
  6. Yep, as Edd says, that's what seems to be the problem and that's the solution... problem is, most people don't have a cone adjusting tool
  7. Sounds like the axle is snapped unfortunately Which parts are spinning and which parts are staying still?
  8. Its still Hydroforming though - Forming the shape of the tube by Hydraulic action. It just depends to what level you wish to take it. Frames look good from the pictures, would like to get some in stock. Speak to you tomorrow Fred.
  9. No post Friday and Monday obviously slows things down, yes!
  10. Looking good Matt - you will learn to love the 200ness... its only like using a 160 on a mod

  13. Edit: Just realised that quote doesn't really get my point across if you think about it for more than a few seconds Hopefully you'll know what I mean Mark... I don't really wanna get involved with this though, all I'm trying to convey is that people should wait for the final confirmation before passing judgement. You also have to remember that this is not 'The Bike Show', it's run by totally different people, its The NBS (Yes, I know that stands for National Bike Show, but it is completely different to the 'old' bike shows that were held at the NEC). Cheers Adam
  14. Sounds like you have the 6mm hose... I would try a re-bleed first, my 06 brake was never as mushy as you describe once re-bled, hopefully that will help your decision without needing to spend any money! Cheers Adam
  15. Hey Hendrik, Did you ever re-bleed your Mono Trial, and chop the hose down? They're never quite perfect from the box... Those two things help a lot, also obviously improve power. The '07 model of the brake is stiffer than previous years too - I would say mine is at least on a par with an HS33 with booster. Adam Edit: Also, some of the brakes came with 5mm hose instead of 6mm... the 6mm was much stiffer. Any ideas which you have?
  16. Exactly - larger rotors offer more leverage over smaller rotors... and therefore better braking power
  17. I'm guessing he took the crank off his practice bike to stick on the comp bike? Still, shows how much power the top guys have.
  18. I'm not so sure that's the case - both Martyn and Giles have been involved with trials for a long time. See how it goes, nothing is finalised yet...
  19. Bank Holiday :D Won't be there but would love to be... have a good one
  20. Should be strong enough, but they're more flexy than 2.0-1.8-2.0s. Cheers Adam

  22. The rims are punched, heat treated before punching. No comment on the looks...

  24. Looking at riding Blackburn tonight, will be there for about 6:15ish, meeting at the marble blocks as usual. Anyone else fancy it? Adam
