Bashrings and bashplates both do the same job, rings are more popular nowerday though I gess its just what the makers decided on. You can run both but whats the point just adds more weight. So its nothing to do with how long the frame is pythons used to have bashplates.. Forks should be fine as long as you buy what ever size you need for your wheele either 26" or 20", when forks come new the steerer tube normaly need cutting down but thats a 10 seccond job. Most try all stuff should fit on your bike in reason so don't be a tit and buy 26" wheels for a mod frame... There maybe a problem with the bars just make sure both the stem and bars have the same clap size as if i rember Try all did some that only work in a certan try all stems a while back.. Sam
