  1. You aint wrong! Bad enough on an engine I know inside out and back to front!!!
  2. 8 more? That'd be nice ..Bit above me though, it involves wires!
  3. It will not stay straight, I've corrected it a million times, and I've just given up now, I'm past caring. Infact I'm resisting the urge right now to go and set fire to the heap of shit, I'm f*cking sick of it not starting, I can't even force it to anymore. Pisses me off.
  4. It's a '90 spec GL front spoiler modified slightly ...Just doesn't look right without it anymore!
  5. Up to you! There was a massive clamp down on them in recent times though, even carrying your standard ones in the car to swap over on the spot isn't enough to get off with it You can get pressed plates without the D band and UK legal font that look alright though, have a look for 'The Plate Man' (might all be one word) or on Dubmeister (where I got mine from) I've just given up and gone for the plainest stadard plates I could get
  6. They did look good though..
  7. Yes! About 6 £30 fines later I decided it wasn't really worth it
  8. Ah sod it then, I'll enter my last winter look - screw just dirt, try having half your car fall off too! And the spring '08 look I'm not going to go hammering it through dirty puddles to force the dirt on
  9. There's nothing in it, my mate has gone to bike carbs, and has nothing good to say about the Webers he had before them... As for jet sizes, I'm sure Weber jets fit in R1 carbs anyway, otherwise you can just drill out whatever comes in the carbs (as I'll be doing) How could they be straight? They have to match up to the bike carb spacing... It's not ideal, but it's not the worst solution in the world for the difference in price to getting a full custom manifold made!
  10. Shhh don't ruin it And I struggle to get 7miles to work atm, nevermind Germany, I'm ready to set fire to the f*cking thing, it pisses me off that much!!!!
  11. I might just enter my last years winter look
  12. Yeah, Webers will cost you 10x as much, and they're 100x more of a ballache
  13. 18-19, was stoned with my best mates every day, got up to all kinds of stupid shit, met my (now) ex, got my first GTI 16v on the road, just a generally mint year all round
  14. It is a pretty ghetto job, even the injector holes in the mani are blocked with 1p pieces Almost certain the answer is no, due to the spacing of the ports to allow for the exhaust mani right under it. A metal fab/engineering type place may be able to modify it for you for not much money though... Something like this - Otherwise it's a Bogg Brothers job which isn't cheap!
  15. They're 40mm, with 165 jets (for now) on a 2.0 16v I should imagine yours would be plenty enough for a 'rocco
  16. Mended it Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  17. If I move them outside the legs, they'll fall of the edge of the seats And it is an Audi 80 engine, I bought a donor and swapped it last year, and yeah sounds awesome I'll get to work tidying it all up when I have it sorted Boumsong, most of the wires you can see are now redundant, but aesthetics are the least of my worrys atm!
  18. ZX9R carbs, chopped down standard manifold, joined together with some 50mm silicone hose I've done the whole conversion for less than £100 It'll be alright I'm sure, I'll have my mates who actually know what they're doing with carbs look at it again!
  19. Well I've had a nice up and down weekend... Bye bye K-Jet Hello ZX9R's They were running brilliantly for about 20minutes, before the hoses sucked themselves off the carbs, so I've spent today taking it all off again, put it back on, now I can't get it to run again it'll fire first turn of the key then just die regardless of what I do with the throttle, I'm hoping I can put it down to a flatter than flat battery... And a couple of pics of the car while I'm here methinks
