  1. Ah, If my bike was in one piece I'd have been there, but now working instead Bugger
  2. Do it. Because of the lack of dual controls, they often play it a bit safer; telling you things earlier etc as they don't feel quite so safe Clean it up a little, give as good an impression as you can, and it's the way to go. Down here at least, the pass rate for drivers in their own cars as a fair chunk higher than those in dual-control/instructors vehicles
  3. Little bit of a bump, remind/refresh people! Hope I have a bike back together in time!
  4. Fancy sorting my shite service etc out?! Seriously, if the phone worked, and I got signal, it would be great. As soon as there's a single problem however, it all goes down the pan.
  5. You have recieved a new feedback. Below are details concerning the new feedback. Type: Good Rating SummaryExcellent. Very helpful, quick postage, brilliant guy. Would deal again without hesitation Given By: Monkey Boy You were the: Seller Date: 1186519104
  6. God this is tempting! I need money, they need idiots, what could be more perfect?! How and where do you apply?!
  7. Oops, they're a vee brake too edit; http://chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=20043
  8. Chances of a bed are slim to none, chances of a roof over your head are much more promising! Probably won't ride this weekend (very slim chance of Sunday) depending on if my frame gets back in time or not Picked up some spray today to tidy it all up etc, you'll love it
  9. No offence, but could you not see it was shit to pay £20 for 50 mins/texts before you took it out? I pay £15, and get 1000 texts, 300 mins, 50 video mins, 50 MMS, £5 download... The package is great, it's just the phone, coverage and customer service that leaves EVERYTHING to be desired!
  10. Currently sending pretty much what I posted to part of OfCom
  11. 3 (Mobile phone company) are appalling I took out a contract with them in December, £15 a month for 18 months, 18 month contract, Nokia 6280r. I was told that I would receive the free handset, and that there was good to excellent coverage at home and in the surrounding area. I was also told that if I had any problems with the handset for the duration of the contract, it would be repaired/replaced free of charge Since the very start, I had problems with the handset I was given, and it was constantly being sent back to them to be repaired. I say "repaired", however all they did was reset the factory settings, and send it back in the same non-working state. This happened time and time again, with each call either resulting in them hanging up on me, or being rude and obnoxious, and then telling me "it wasn't their problem" or words to that effect) until one time they sent it back with a broken screen, and tried to charge me £30 for it. I rang, spoke to them (yet another of the many 45 minute calls that I've had to them) and they agreed to not charge me for their mistake, which was nice! Again, more problems, until they decided that it was time to replace the handset. A few days later, along comes a shiny refurbished phone. All looking good, until you try to turn it on, and nothing happens... I called time and time again, but was always either hung up on, or told that there was nothing they could do. This was great, as they hung up enough that my 14 day period expired, so they "didn't have to do anything" A week ago, I finally got the phone back to them, and they looked it over. Today, I spoke to them (they called whilst I was driving, so I phoned them back for another lengthy expensive call filled with poor manners and bad customer service) and was told that the phone, which "had passed all tests" before being given to me, had liquid damage, and was un-repairable. I was then told that it would cost around £50 for a replacement, despite not having even used this handset as it refused to switch on! Eventually they informed me that I could pay £20 and have another refurbished handset, though I really don't have faith that the situation will be any different. I asked about cancelling the contract, as they have given me nothing but grief and poor service (even the managers I spoke to were rude, interrupted and shouted at me!) including the fact that a few weeks after taking out the contract, all signal for miles around my home was lost and still hasn't returned. I was told that it would cost over £300 to cancel (as I would have to pay line rental for the rest of the period) Where do I stand, and what can I do about it? I really don't want to be with 3 any more, as they have provided me with faulty handsets and appalling coverage, let alone the outrageous customer service. However, I don't want to pay £300 to end the contract early, or the £150+ or whatever to continue the contract and let it expire. I shall be writing a strongly worded version of the above to them later on, but could do with a little help from anyone who knows stuff! Cheers guys, sorry for the essay...
  12. Snail cams need something to push against, normally a bolt in the dropout (look at pics of most monty dropouts, probably the easiest way to see it) However, to run cams you'd need to drill a small hole into the dropouts, tap it, and find a suitable bolt, as I don't think the 24seven frames come with it. A set of BMX style chain tugs would do the trick though, if you'd prefer, and only cost about a fiver or so

  14. Now, do I send off my frame to sort mounts out for vees, and hope it's all sorted, or do I stick with maggies and do it after...?!
  15. If it's "way too short" then changing frames would be your best bet, though if you just want a little more length, the stem would be worth a try Remember though, that whichever you do will affect the way the bike rides to some extent
  16. Another shout for that slag in Bristol who delivers the odd letter (when he's not on strike...) Not only is he an awesome rider, but he's a top banana who's always happy to help with riding, parts etc, and just have a laugh. It's not just gone to his head, and he's earned the skillz he's got He is the end of a leg
  17. Get some black forks on there, and it would be awesome. At the minute it is just satisfactory... cough *buymyzoos* cough
  18. Yep that's cool Martin, keep us posted Hotel is getting pretty full, so if some people are able to find a backup it might be worth looking into. We're not going to leave anyone on the streets though, it just won't be ideal! Quick map for anyone who might be driving (Rich etc): Unfortunately we don't have any private parking area, though free parking is available on the road. However, this is usually quite busy, so if many people bring cars you'll need to find somewhere else to put them
  19. Sorry, couldn't resist Another vote for Vee adaptors here though too, tried to get hold of some but I have not once got a reply to a PM/email when I've been trying to find stuff out...
