    Shipwrecked

I can see 4 On Demand getting a lot of use over the next 3 months. Char is fit, Carly is fit, but the scouser does my head in a bit.
  2. Amazing story, I only hope I would act in the same way you did that night
  3. My girlfriend and I went to London last Friday for site seeing etc. Were joking around saying maybe we'll see Mark wondering the streets (not in a horrible way). Really sad to hear he's now dead. Was a top bloke for the kids on tv. Big loss RIP
  4. May be a stupid question, but... my rowing machine doesn't have a computer, therefore I can't measure my speed/distance etc. This means i use my damn stopwatch on my phone which is rubbish. Any genius way around this?
  5. Anyone run and finish today? What were your times? I'm inspired to apply and train for 2009!
  6. That's really helpfull guys, i'll use that monitor for a week Cheers!
  7. I've recently got Sky TV along with the free broadband they provide. This 'free' broadband only has a 2MB connection and monthly usage allowance of 2GB. I'm going to need to upgrade to either the 40GB usage allowance or the unlimited service. But, how can i estimate how much i actually download? What is considered as downloading....visiting a website, looking at a picture? (along with the obvious downloading music, watching youtube videos) Myself, brother and both the girlfriends use interent everyday. Watch youtube vids, browse internet a lot, email, basically a lot of use! But how do i guess if we'll all go over the 40GB monthly allowance?? Trial and error, or just fork out for unlimited allowance?
  8. Well i'm 5 ft 8 inches and weigh 68.5 kg, so i dont think im at all overweight for a 20 year old. Probably about the right weight. The tubby fat i see probably isn't a lot to some people, but i notice it loads. I'll keep rowing lol, 4th pint of water today too yesss! Cheers for the advice
  9. I've noticed that i've definately developed some sizable muffin tops around my waiste and a pair of not so toned pecks, so I HAVE to do something about it before the summer arrives. Weights history isn't inspiring - go through motivated stages of doing ~60 press ups each night and a few weights, mainly curling 14kg dumbells. But that stopped a month or two ago and i realise the amount i was lifting/frequency of exercise was no where near enough to gain substantial muscle. My plan is to use my rowing machine everyday for ~10-15 mins to shed the excess fat. Not interested in weight training and getting the Ronnie Coleman physique, just want to get fitter, more toned, less blob like. I eat pretty healthily anyway but drink next to no water, so ~3 ltrs a day extra should be sufficient? Ive been following this thread for a while and have done a fair bit of research online. Anymore ideas you guys have to share?
  10. Haha I only ever look in chitchat, although I did search all sections of the site... Anyway, post can be closed, sorry!

    Nass 2007

I couldn't find a post-nass topic, but did anyone who went see the huge bonfire on the Saturday night? People jumping through, chucking camping gas canisters in etc, small explosions etc crazy stuff. We all ended up leaving at 1am that morning because it was all getting too close to our tents, didn't fancy getting trampled/set alite. Fire service did turn up but couldn't get through, i suppose for fear of people kicked in by these idiots. Apparently 3 people also died (not due to the fire) Anyone else experience this?
  12. I find Virgin crap, but it may suit you for your needs. We have Virgin broadband and freeview. The broadband is ok, just for general family use its fine (does like not to connect, but we just restart the box and its ok), but Virgin freeview is crap. Rarely ever shows current/future tv listings, and a generally poo service
  13. Well its ok because its only a 1.2 engine. £20 fuel will get me almost exactly 200miles. That doesn't sound bad but considering my 106 diesel would get me nearer 300miles to £20, i miss that
  14. My first car was a 1.5D Pug 106, had both good and bad experiences with them. Good - Insurance as a named driver on dads insurance was only £200 with LivVictoria, considering I had little/no money at 17, £200 was brilliant. Fuel economy was excellent. I now drive a 1.2 petrol new Clio and i want a diesel sooo bad. Never had a problem with the engine itself, started first time always. Bad - As said, engine was perfect, yet had problems with driveshafts. Parts to get problem fixed were expensive! Sunroof eventually leaked slightly after a year. Electrics were a bit crap. Simple jobs like changing a brake light bulb etc turned into a major job - Mechanism for screwing the bulbs in was so crap and fiddley. After owning her for a year and a half, i gave her a service and put the car on autotrader. Heres the good bit - Bought the car for £600, sold it for £850. Score!

    Wow

I'm kind of surprised there was no trials riding on the show. There was street running using some fairly high scaffolding structure, so im sure trials could have worked.
  16. Fosbury Flop Does that count? Saying random words etc. Include me in the fun guys!!!!!!
  17. Wow its like a night club in that room!!
