Apocolypto - 8/10. I was gripped!!!
-
Instead of applying online, I printed off the massive 28 page application form off, along with the guidence notes. As you go through the form there are letters, N or E, which correspond to 'See Notes' or 'Give Evidence' The notes give you kind of scenarios and help you along the application. I'm doing it too, its a bitch! Maybe that helps you

I've found Altec Lansing to have a really clear sound. Not hugely expensive like other upmarket brands too.
-
I guess they charge so much because they know people will buy them - if not straight away, in the near future after the initial release. Either flog them cheap and sell more, or more expensive with only the die hard Sony geeks buying them

Hey mate, glad to hear you feel your relationship is pretty strong etc But... Have you considered moving in with eachother at one of your current homes? I'm currently working full time in insurance in my gap year, and the girlfriends in last year of college. Were both going to uni in September this year, and i know we'd both love to move out and rent somewhere just the 2 of us. But up til now we've been living between eachothers' homes, we do live together but not in our own place. I pay small rent just for my keep, but its great because im able to earn a fair bit of cash and save for uni/the future. I just reckon you'll have a huge shock living in your own flat. Why not live with eachother in your parents home for a while. At least you'll soon see if you get on eachothers nerves 24/7. Lawrence P.s Sorry if the above has been posted by someone already, i havn't read the whole post...

I think if you tell these people that you have opted out of recieving calls, and could you please take me off of your database altogether, then they have to oblige?

I finally got in contact with my mobile mechanic to sort my car out, he agreed with Prawn - petrol wouldn't have gone through the lines that quickly after filling up. Looks like my cars just playing up at a coincidentally suspicious time. Hopefully its just something simple in ignition system

When i filled up the tank was nearing totally empty, from putting 30litres of petrol in would it just sit in the tank or filter through the lines in the time i went to pay?? Just seems a huge coincidence that my problem begins from filling up at Morrisons on a near empty tank at the exact time this petrol crisis started.

Get someone to take a laptop in, looks like you're doing work, minimize some word doc, then get your ass on something like BF 1942 or similar. Let gaming commence

I'm glad this recent topic in the news has come up on TF, i've been researching the problem on the net for a while and havn't got many firm answers. I filled up at Morrisons in Southampton (not sure if the contaminated fuel got that way) days before the very first incident arose on the news. My cars been great since i bought it, then put £25 petrol into a new empty tank, went to pay then started the car and it wouldn't spark. Engine cranks over but no spark. Took 7-8 attempts to start. Has been irratic ever since, some days starts first time, others takes 2-3 attempts. Have changed spark plugs before complaints came onto the news, but havn't called a garage to sort the problem as the car does start fine on occasions so wasn't urgent. I think i will get it properly sorted now though, worried if i keep driving its gonna properly feck the car up. It's a Renault Clio 1.2 V reg (2000) Once shes started its fine, no problem with power loss. It's only starting thats irratic. Since the problem i've topped up at BP twice, so was hoping any bad fuel was out of the system. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks for starting the topic Heatsink

Recently bought a Renault Clio 1.2 RN V reg (2000) approx a month ago. Been absolutely fine since, lovely little car. 2 days ago i went to start her up but the engine was just turning over and over, there was no spark (yes there was fuel in the tank). Took 4-5 attempts to get her going. Engine did start though so therefore the battery must still be ok? Bought some new spark plugs and fitted them, turns out 1 of the wires had popped out so only 3 were working, still fitted new plugs just to be safe, so thought it was sorted. Left it over night and she started 1st time in morning, but left work at 5.30 tonight and took 3 attempts to start her! I've spent all day at work yesterday researching this but you know what the nets like, half of its full of crap. Can anyone please set me in the right direction?? Thanks ps. keep the french car jokes to a minimum

Thanks F-Stop Junkie, good clear advice!

Mines just an old M reg, have had so many problems with it. Want a change from Peugeot. Have seen a few nice cars for my price at V reg, which would be beaut! Dont mind waiting months looking around for the best one. VW's would be nice, but ive found theyre more expensive to buy, compared to an equally spec'd and aged clio, punto, fiesta etc.. And to answer an earlier question, do majority of motorway miles

Been fortunate enough to have had 3k given to me to help out with uni fees, living, car etc. Current pug 106's a bit battered, willing to spend about 1.5k on the car, no more than 2k. Winning my votes are Clio's, Punto's, Fiesta's... Not wanting anything boy racer stylee, just good value. Anyone own, or has owned, any of the above? Really undecided!! help me out Cheers ladies

I've recently been interesting in it after my cousin and dad amazed me with some money saving facts. Done some research into it - using mixture of veg oil (or plain rapeseed oil) with diesel. Some people say to just start slow with maybe 10% veg oil in your tank, then slowly increase to see the money saving difference. 50/50 is where the real saving is apparently. But im assured it won't mess my diesel engine up, its only renewable veg oil fuel at the end of the day isn't it. A bit hessitant, but i wanna do it! Anyone tried it here?!

When you come to buy your first car, dont buy a Peugeot - 106 to be precise. Parts and maintainance is tres poo poo. Just had to spend 175 quid on fixing accelorator cable and injection pump, 3 days before my MoT aswell! eeek. Girlfriends just got a Fiat Punto, Nreg. Absolutely brialliant cars Want to get a newer reg, newer shape for my possible 2nd car
