  1. S3 + Swype = fastest most accurate text input on any mobile device I've ever experienced. Including T9 on old skool Nokias.
  2. Probably shouldn't post this publicly with my real name, but what the hell it's only a month before it's revealed anyway... (Shortlisted for Professional Photographer of The Year 2012)
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDHCdDshGPU
  4. Canon 20mm f/2.8 and Canon 35mm f/2, especially if you already have a 50mm. Trust me, primes will change your life.
  5. I like the idea of making photos "timeless" but totally forgot about it until you mentioned it. Might have to keep on working on that one. Big props on the Red Bulletin mag by the way, always loved that srt photo of the pre-metro bet it looks great in print!
  6. Cheers amigo, I gotta hand it to Ottoir though for a shot he put up of the same junction a couple of weeks ago. Lighting refined like only a seasoned shit scuba could. Originally I liked the colour but then realised I'd been focussing more on shape and form while setting up and taking it, so b&w just felt like the natural way to simplify the scene and draw attention back to my original aims. Job done
  7. I finally took a photo in a drain. About time if you ask me.
  8. I've photographed a dominatrix in that pool.
  9. My girlfriend's dad talking about how itunes has changed the way he buys music online: "I'd rather pay 69p than download it from a Paedophile in Wisconsin"
  10. Mark, send them an invoice pronto. If they refuse, send an accompanying solicitors letter.
  11. ADW Launcher EX. Awesome home screen replacement for the likes of Touchwiz or Motoblur. Faster, lighter weight and a lot more customisable too. Chrome. The only browser you should be using. Sync bookmarks across all your devices and pick up tabs you have open on your computer from your phone / vice versa. Google Earth. Just because it's awesome visualising mountain routes in 3D. BBC iPlayer. Watch TV and stuff. Beautiful Widgets. Great weather/clock homescreen widgets. Google Sky Map. Just try it. Seriously. Smooth Calendar. Great widget for upcoming events. If you don't already use Google Calendar, you should be. Unified Remote. Control your computer / laptop from your phone. Great as a movie remote. Strava. I don't even need to explain this one. Once you start using it, it'll change the way you ride/run. GTA3. Because GTA3.
  12. Anyone after a Nikon mount Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 (the newer, faster version) superwide angle lens? I've not used mine for ages as I've finally gone full frame, so I'm selling it to fund a more versatile wangle than my 20mm prime. Comes with front and rear caps, lens hood and the uber-padded lens case that Sigma are notorious for. PM me if you're interested.
  13. If the 4 and 4S are the same generation just updated, then the 3G and the 3GS would logically be the same generation too no? So the original 2G model would be first gen, 3G and 3GS would be the second gen and the 4 and 4S would be the third gen. In which case the new one would only be the 4th generation. Either way, it's the sixth release. Not that it matters a single iota.
  14. Why is everyone calling the 6th iPhone the iPhone 5? Makes no sense. Plus it's just going to be called "the new iPhone" anyway, like they did with the iPad!
  15. DS Colour. Nowhere else comes close. Edit: Direct link to large format printing: http://dscolourlabsupload.livelinkprint.com/about/poster.choice They also have colour profiles matching their printers/paper for download so you can get colour exactly right.
  16. Few years ago I remember walking back to Charlies with him and Haz from a night at Prawn's. On the way we came across some cones outside a newly finished and recently moved into block of flats, Haz had the brilliant idea of throwing a cone up onto someone's balcony to confuse the hell out of them in the morning... If one thing that drunken escapades had taught me and Charlie that it hadn't yet taught Haz, was that these things never end well. We couldn't stop him so legged it round a corner without even watching, waiting for a massive noise from something that used to be a window/car. We waited a few seconds, then a few seconds more only for Haz to appear round the corner. "Done!" "Whaaaaaaat?!" We look over and sure as hell it's there, upright, on their balcony having safely sailed up two floors, over a railing and landing perfectly on the flat without a sound. Voodoo I tells you. That walk home also threw up the quote "If someone has paid for a 3 litre Audi then they deserve my dick on the roof" and "I would sleep with this car right now for falafel."
  17. Sweet, thanks man! Opening night was awesome, the place was over full and everyone was enjoying the photos. Just hoping the next couple of weeks goes well with it too
  18. Bit of shameless self promotion I'm afraid, but following all the media frenzy about the Shard the other week a group of friends including myself were offered a few group exhibition slots round some London galleries. The first opens next Thursday (10th of May) at Delicate Mayhem gallery in Covent Garden at 18:00, and runs until Sunday the 27th. It includes photos from various types of unseen infrastructure round London and a few other UK and European cities including metro tunnels, utility tunnels, rooftops etc and alternative views of the city. We'll be there on the opening night to talk about the photos, what we get up to (past, not future!) why etc, also to receive abuse and get accused of ruining UE for everyone Hopefully see some of you there. 19. Current pet hate: the BBC (and some other media outlets) using far too many rhetorical/leading questions as headlines for online articles and features.
  20. Mud Cows (Found it on VHS in one of my old boxes the other day!)
