  1. its good to see things like this happening,, and i LOVE leeson bikes...for being simple, original and steel,,, BUT! i really dont think the headtube is needed ,,,still if you really dont want gussets then yeah its good..
  2. the tyre the correct way round provides more surface area on rock,, but less of a hook on edges,, but run the wrong way round, the hook effect could be good for muddy conditiond and sharper edged, rock,,,, but iv gotta say im with bucky here,,i dont tend to notice and a tyre is a tyre,, just put it on and use it ! do ''eeny-meeny-miny-mo'' on it or something! for the direction
  3. if im in the country,,,,,, i will DEFF be there.! the last one was SOOOO good
  4. iv managed to put back my working in spain by 3weeks! so i can make it... wil be bringing Ali C and Waddy with me ! cant wait wayne u gettin a new frame ?
  5. i use a steel mech from the tip with lots of holes in,, and alu thumbshifter from a rusty skip with the bar clamp rewelded bigger so it fits my seat tube,, and a few cogs off old cassettes put together on my hub in a mess... works fine and is fairly light

    What Frame?

i had 1 of them,,,,,it was advertised as ''blank street frame'' so i called it JOHN only a few will remeber.. but ye, they dont really hav a name iolo
  7. i dont wanna seem like a big head,, BUT knobbles do NOT help street riding and nobbles DO NOT help grip on rails or other funny shapes.. and when i comes to rock,, again nothing gets the grip better than a slick,(not the dirt or grass in between rocks though!.) and ye,, as you cant get a 19" rear slick, i would get a second hand maxxis creepy crawler or try all and gently take the grinder 2 it.. then prehaps gat a mate to keep turning the cranks while you grind or sand it... (but having sed that i am a bigger bodger than most (Y)") dont know how long it would last either..!
  8. shimano deore skewers !!!!!!!!!!!! they are better than ANY other ! and cheap
  9. :) he was and still is a great guy ! :(
  10. i did a well good scetchy section, i side hopped to front pedal,, but then changed to to switch foot back pedal and carried on,, and then did half the section with a front flat tyre... vinny shook my hand and sed i was tre bien... that means im cool.

  12. front tryall are pretty light... and are the best grip around in my oppinion... also the kenda blue groove is good.... but punctures easy iolo

    Avid Disc

YES! stoppies for ever... but also locks... i use an avid,, if given the choice of a free avid, or a free hope tryall,, i would take the avid... unless i was clever then i would take the hope sell it on ebay, and buy an avid then keep the left overs.. lol hope that helped iolo BUY 1 !
  16. ye i saw it too.. the biggest rock was 1 ft high,, but ther was some little rail gaps.. but the rail round the edge look more fun than the whole rock area

  20. as title ses... i wanna ride in cornish,, reply if u wanna meet up ... respect !
  21. ye thats the one,, al though i do still cover the front brake when its there,, i want to start not covering it,, but i fear i might not get it back on quik enough for natural.. and ye i do find sometimes i pull it on tap, and fek the whole thing up..
  22. i broke my old hope mini and rode front brake less for a week,,, loved it,, gave me ALOT of confidence for taps, and makes you hop higher and move your body weight more, , and then about 8 months later i snapped my avid caliper and rope 2 days without front brake again. again it was a good little break (no punn intended) from usual riding ,, also i have at the moment a kids bike, wich i have built up with no brakes and no chain and has moto style foot pegs not cranks.. its really amazing what u can get done on it.. having sed that i think i love riding kids bike WAY to much ,, hahaha
  23. ok sorted now,,, topic can go,, but can i just say,, that im well impressed that i found a moped in a lake,, and have after 1 day !! made it work fine !!.. yea ! so i cruisin tomorow.. lol
  24. hi iv just got a 50cc scooter moped out of a lake running and i need help.. it quite modern,,2004 ish the engine starts first time every time now,, but when you rev it ,, it dies straight away ! this to me shows that the choke is on, but it has no manual choke,, so i think iv found an auto (electric) choke,,, how do i sort it out,, (how do they work) please help cos i wanna go riding, hahahahhahaa thanks iolo
  25. ye they are ok,, not that wide,, with a bit of a round profile,,, quite soft but long ish lasting,, and for £10 you cant really complain... go for it
