  1. are you running a mech or a tensioner?if its a mech, the cage migh be slightly twisted?have you checked for little stones trapped between the chainring an the bash?i know it may sound patronising, but its something ive over-looked before Carl
  2. you sure the chains not catching on the bash?i think even the smaller ones still catch a bit?i had this problem when running the normal middleburn bash, was alright after a while though, the chain just needs to make some grooves in the bash.it was worse when i got the kmc kool fatter version, cos it had to wear the bash away that little bit more.its very annoyin though, but it should sort itself out. Carl
  3. ive ran various different brakes on the front.pretty much any brake is good as long as its set up well.discs are nice, they have a nice feel to them.but maggies work just aswell.light grind with some koolstops on the front and youve got yourself an awsome brake.if youve already got the maggy, stick with it.especially if you dont have disc ready hub/forks.maybe have a ride on other peoples bikes that have discs on,get a feel for them, and see which you prefer. Carl
  4. right, seein as though ive only ever used middleburns,im slightly confused y all this "new" shizzle, just remember im stuck in the dark age here... is it possible to use the echo 6061 cranks with an adamant bashring?and if so,which chain ring do i get,i know i want it to be 18t,but im really not sure what to get.any help would be good. cheers guys. Carl
  5. stone sour is corey taylor and jim root from slipknot.they were actually corey and jims original band before forming slipknot.they got back together to help "creative flow" or some rubbish.theyre good live too.joey was the lead guitarist in murderdolls, but on the recording of the album "from the valley of the murderdolls" he plaed every instrument, dont believe me?it says so on the album cover Wednesday 13 is the name of the singer from murderdolls, wednesday 13 was also one of his projects before murderdolls, other previous projects include "frankensteins drag queens from planet 13" (possibly the longest band name ever!?) slipknot were originally a dark drum n bass group started by sidehop and the clown i think?there are about 3 albums of slipknot's before the "metal" album, which is what made them huge.and slipknot should be touring mid/late next year,or at least thats whats rumoured. if you get the chance to see either stone sour, murderdolls or slipknot,do it,theyre all amazing live. Carl
  6. yup,tis true.my mate had one, snapped in 4 different places(he got his re-welded) there was nothing saying it couldnt be used for street etc,so he mailed them for a new frame (superycles that is,not onza direct) and they sent him a shitty e-mail back saying if he couldnt ride a bike properly,he should quit... but yes, they are pretty snap happy. Carl
  7. i remember racing mto-x against kurt brain before he started trials! and i remember when a back hop was also : Shift, foreward hop, sketch, crank hops, pedal bounce...thats just a few i can remember hearing also...the IN thing to do...tell everyone which was your chocolate foot, and making fun of them if theirs was different. Carl
  8. just to let you know, backyards were amazing!best gig ive seen them play so far.they were on fire.i was drunk, and i dont like towers of london who were supporting,so after the gig i broke into the towers tour bus and took a piss, they deserved it!then we had to walk from oxford to my house cos we missed the last bus home, and we'd spent all our money on drink,so we couldnt afford a taxi.now, this walk is about 13miles...so at about halfway through it we came to a college (very posh college too!) where one of our mates works and lives,we broke into the college, then broke into his house to crash on the sofa, needless to say,2minutes later,he woke up,walked in and saw us,laughed for a bit, then decided he'd best drive us home the music was awesome, the girls were awesome, the after gig activity was awesome...best night ive had in ages! by the way, anyone who went to the bodom gig,how was it?? Carl
  9. cant get that address to work,is it definatly the right one?cos im bored and i wanna play something! cheers Carl

Carl
  12. i think it was one of the models?its pretty similar looking to the es range i think?although its hard to remember what they looked like,it was so long ago! Carl
  13. not sure why i couldnt gap on it either...guess i just didnt feel comfortable on it. cheers for the comments guys Carl
  14. i had my P.A. done because it was free, and i was bored.i only paid for my lip piercing, the 2 nose piercings were free,as were the ears, nipples, belly button, cos my gf at the time worked in Tiger Lily in oxford,it's a shop that sells stoner stuff etc,but they also do piercings and tattoo's.the decent piercist has moved to liverpool now,so both the piercist and the tattooist in there are both shite now...stay away from the place for anyone who knows it and no the p.a. didnt hurt, although it did bleed alot.and the girls love it Carl
  15. ive not ridden an iolo, but i got the chance to look at a few of the frames, and personally i feel that they'd be just as good, everything looks pretty tight.i have a curtis (now sat doing nothing) 26inch,and i have to say it rode pretty nicely.I found Gary to be a pretty nice bloke,he gave me what i requested, and even spoke to me at nass 04,and asked me if i was happy with it,and if not,was there anything i'd change?sound bloke, top frames.to be honest i think the only thing in it is the price differencei'd be happy with either, although i do like the fact that iolo give you a bit more freedom with geo. Carl
  16. um..i did have my ears at 23mm,but got bored so i shrunk them to 8mm and put some 3mm thick barbel rings through the holes,i also have 2 nose piercings on one side, lip piercing, nipples, belly button, and i used to have my P.A done, but i took it out. so there you have it Carl
  17. 22:19 for me,anything easier is pants as my legs spin way to fast an i dont get anough power down, anything harder makes gapping sluggish and uncontrolled imo. Carl
  18. yea, just fancied something a bit different, and slightly longer.the curtis was really nice, but was restricting me from certain moves.plus,i got bored of it and mike,my cd's aint goin nowhere im getting some discs next week so i'll start doing them albums Carl
  19. i saw that earlier this year on C4,febuary time i think?was pretty twisted..i started writing lyrics for a song about it..i think they were described as Technosexuals or something werent they?at least thats what i called the song, and i must have got that information from somewhere!hahah.the wind up stuff was twisted, where theguy had a thing for female wind up dolls Carl
  20. i know him.he's not ignoring you mate,i just dont think hes been online? ill give him a ring later,im sure he's just forgotten thats all mate. he's not the kind of guy to scam you. Carl
  21. [attachmentid=8074] well, there she is.nice bike to ride.i was riding a curtis T1comp for ages, real streety setup, and refused to move with the times, till i got fed up of being able to manual, but not gap got this, built it up completely different, always swore black an blue that i would never use anything other than azonic double walls...she's running on some flat bars, and i can still manual, but i can gap too hahah, just gotta get me outta the 80's music phase now Carl
  22. If God made the front of a womans body, who made the back? The council...who else would put a shit hole next to a play area!! Carl
  23. to be honest i dont like the big moves thing,it doesnt flow, its just one big move then roll away.i'd much prefer to see Rowan or Nick G ride something small, but in a controlled and flowing way, linking stuff together.big moves are boring to watch.theres only so many times you can watch someone do X sized gaps.berridge and shruzenuzenbury (bit of nass pissedness boyo ) have a nice style, but its too streety for me.i like to watch it.but ultimatly, people like rowan and nick.proper riders, those guys flow, and do it with so much ease and control, pure effortless riding. Carl
  24. yea it would be nice to have the option.but the cost of it would outweigh any good? it wouldnt be that hard for someone to make a disc that fits on the other side,it only needs to be mirrored, surely?but companies wouldnt let that stop them charging a bomb for a "new" product? i know some bmx companies give you the option,i think haro do a left hand drive bmx.im not sure how much interest it would have though? Carl
