dunno if there are anymore of them over the country... but they have these new digital speed cameras down here (on the m5 at exeter.) they sit on beams over the road, they are covered in bright orange covers but they look like cctv rather than speed cameras. they have a few along a stretch and they know if you speed between each, what i mean is if the speed limit is 50, you go past one at 50 and then speed up between them and then slow down for the next it will know and you will get caught. i dont think they dont flash either, pretty sure they dont. there has been a massive uproar down here about it cause no one was told they were speed cameras... just thought i would let you guys know just incase, cause i know how gutted you feel when you think you have been caught.

nah i wont be traveling as much now i have started my new job. jtm, your last comment has well and truely pissed me off, you have no right calling either me or dan ko an ideot. and saying that we are going to crash is just stereotyping all 17 year olds as "boy racers" with no sence, yes i still have a lot to learn but that doesnt mean i cant learn in a nicer car? i have done the same amount of miles in the last month and a bit as a lot of new drivers do in the first year... im not saying im a good driver, i dont think anyone can... but i am careful. the gt is 110 bhp, 20bhp more than the sport which i was looking at before i found out i could get insured on the gt... the reason i am getting the gt over the sport is mainly cause it works out cheaper, sure the extra power helps with my decision, thats mainly cause there are so many hills around here you need it to get up them, my car at the moment is a 78bhp 306 and it struggles getting up most the hills round here and uses loads of fuel doing it. to be honest i dont give a shit what most people say on this forum anymore, everyone thinks they know best. all i asked was who people were insured with... i didnt ask for anyones opinion on how much of an ideot they thought i was.

just found a deal for £550 for 11 months on a gt with my mum as the main driver.

i havent been driving long, bout a month and a half now but i have managed to do 9000miles in that time. travelling 30miles to work everyday, then another 30miles back + all the other travelling i do i want a nicer car, bit more power, bit more comfortable and doesnt leak. i have been looking at pugs, 207 sport's and the gt, civics, focus's. i tried getting insured on the gt which is only a group 6, but some insurance companies said no and others said £5000.:| then last night i was speaking to dan ko, hes getting insured on a merc clk or summat group 16 insurance or summat under his dads name for hardly anything considering what group it is and he hasnt been driving a year yet. so i was wondering if any of you lot are under your mum/dads names and who your with cause £5000 is a joke.
