  1. The people who make money off it want it to get bigger. Fair play! The people who just ride..... just ride. Fair play! What's new?
  2. Fuggin hell, that first one is mad. "Yeah, you can go twice as fast" = Dead Man Walking!
  3. I like the idea of SS, weight saver / tougher sprockets / clean lines / no chain slap etc.......but it's a royal pain in the arse to ride anywhere IMO. This is what I did one gear for trials 18t, one gear for riding to places 12t. Best of both worlds and all that, well.... my trials sprocket digs in, no clean lines and a get chain slap, but I save a ton in weight!
  4. WTF ..................was that? Didn't like the cat bit......... can't get it out of my head now! Liked the A-team intro though
  5. Exactly.... balance! Well that's why I run 20ish anyways. Try it, it's so much easier... 40/50 psi is mad imo.
  6. Er.... to keep the back-end rolling fast through the trails, stop the front from losing grip on dusty / damp days. See: BMX dirt bikes That's just my opinion, ignore me ........looks f`in gorgeous!
  7. Nice looking bike mate! ...although I'd swap the tyres around?
  8. I always find self teaching to be the best... check these places out. here or here hell, why not here! Goodluck man!
  9. I made this blag MBUK cover for my mate Eddy, a regular good guy around the bike scene, a friend and a help to every cyclist out there! Whether you want it or not. Look at him go..... he's like 80 or something! All made from scratch in PS and prints out crisp the same size as the mag.... looks pretty good printed glossy! Made all the other shit up regarding other friends who would get a kick out of it. I'm on there somewhere? God he will kill me if he see's this.
  10. BLING! edit: Shit, that's a good answer Mark.
  11. Thinking about it now, this would build into a stonkingly heavy rim/wheel, resulting in much slippage unless adding tar which would defeat the object, or a grind, which would be stupid.... as was this thread! But it would look bling! Goodnight.
  12. Weird... I imagined the material used on CRM's would really stick to a chrome rim? Not in the wet though, and deffo not with a grind! No?
  13. Basically...... why doesn't anyone make / use chrome 26" rims? I imagine they would work really well with Plaz or Zoo pads etc. S`bugging me is all?
  14. Cheers... sounds dodgy though! Maybe Kris's idea would be best... how about wielding a coin or summit onto the bolt for ease of use? I think I could take that, rather than get the allen keys out! ie:
  15. Cool... that's me sorted, well with my current Shimano sprockets anyways! I had to bodge some small / thin spacers next to the 12T sprocket so the chain would sit on the teeth nicely. Think I'll leave the shifter on, so I don't have to get off the bike to change gear. Question remains the same though: Would it shift with a chunky (prevents from digging in) sprocket, as it doesn't have HG slots, and would proberbly not line up next to my 12T?
  16. Anyone ever thought of making/using a chrome plated rim? = Grabby with Plaz/Zoo's etc?
  17. Yeah, get that one then. At least you can check to see if it fits ok and your mates gonna fit it free of charge. You will keep killing Shimanos though...... do the right thing soon! PS: Tell your mate to try and take your old one apart and fix it. Nah` that would be cruel as he's doing you a favor.
  18. I imagine it's just weight. I'd go for the cheapest and try and upgrade your hub in the future.
  19. Does anyone use a chunky rear sprocket (16-17-18 ?) with say.. a 11 tooth Shimano one next to it.....spacers either end blah blah? Any problems with shifting? What's the best chunky sprocket and why does only Chris K do 18's? Please help / any other bright idea's for the two speed enthusiasts? Oh` and when they say `prevents` digging into freehub body.... what they really mean is `no chance` right?
  20. He was a bloody good bloke, a friend of man and animal alike. And the Shelia's liked him too. You will be sorely missed Steve `O. CROCS RULE! Pic of my.. er uncle and his new born baby. Note: This image has not been tampered with in any way, using Photoshops lasso tools, clone stamp brushes or colour correction enhancements. Note: I like him, chill out `turtle lovers`!
  21. `I Spit On Your Grave` - had me in tears, as a seven year old!
