  1. I'm not saying your in no way incapable of organising this etc, but try and get a parent to back you up (write it or sign it) , in the letter you send to the council, accompanied by the petition. I'd imagine they would only move their arse if it was coming from an adult. Don't take that the wrong way... I don't even know how old you are? PS: That indoor skatepark you could use might put a spanner in the works though, although if it's privately ran, I don't see why the council should have a problem coughing up some cash! What have they done for your area? I'm sure every council has funds for sport and leisure blah, blah! Again, goodluck and blag some names if you don't get enough!
  2. Urm, I'm sure MBUK gave advise regarding this kind of subject many issues ago... so er` dig em out! And try and get some parents involved, it's sad but they may carry a bit more `political` weight as there paying the rates and voting these people in. I dunno, I'm tired... goodluck though!
  3. Yeah, me also! I always knew they had more tension, but didn't know some were `locked-out`! Been having a look on CRC... bit confuzed though, x-4, x-7 or x-9, SX-4, SX-5 and on and on? What is the all out best for trials me wonders? And when they say 9 speed, that just means it can cover a range of 9 sprockets, as the shifter dictates the movement / amount of cable etc? Is that right ?
  4. Holy shit...... Morgan Wade ! : Natty tash too!
  5. Tried to get some of krisboats, but no reply. Sorted some now.... thanks for the help pep's
  6. Nice one! Although I was worried 68mm was a bit narrow.... ie: my V's stick out when using my D521 rim. Will give it a go though, thanks. If anyone has any evo's, giz a shout! (I will get looking in sale/wanted)
  7. Yeah, I'd like to see it happen. I remember them on a mod I used to have and they were great, BIG meaty footprint/surface area etc! Always up for a new 26" rear tyre.
  8. I guess I should get some Evo mounts and give it a try, just thought someone could say yes or no after seeing my ramblings! Or come up with a better idea. Thanks for the info though! Anyone got any Evo's going cheap while I'm here?
  9. I like / need gears, but don't want all the weight of a full cassette. So..... take an old/new cassette apart, put a say` 18t (trials)and a 12t (getting about), on the rear using spacers from the cassette and maybe a few others to fill it up. (put your trials gear, 18t in line with your front sprocket for a good chainline when it counts!) Use the adjuster screws on the rear mech (Sora is a good choice) to limit it to only covering the two cogs.... tension the cable as you would normally do, and only use two clicks on your shifter to change gears. You could even do away with the shifter and just use the mech-cable adjuster to switch between gears! Search for mech bodge etc. Well it's an idea.... hope that made sense? er` like this!
  10. OK, I want to put a spare maggie I have, on the rear of my old`ish DMR Sidekick. Idea's.....! 1. Get some 4 bolt mounts wielded to the frame, as I have 4 bolt mounts spare from my Trex etc. (Seatstays are at a crappy angle - biggish job getting this done - would it be strong etc) 2. Get some Evo mounts (Would they fit with 68mm V-mounts / allow the calipers not to be to far out etc?) 3. Get some Tensile offset magura mounts to give better caliper position ( prob 4 bolt specific... can't find pics) H`mmm, I'm a bit confuzed/my idea's are a bit of a mess! What do you think? Hope that made sense? Here's some pics I've been looking at etc!
  11. Killer! Works a treat, cheers!
  12. Episode 1: BMX Dirt and Skate Vert: 21/10/2006 @ 6pm Corey Bohen, Ryan Nyquist and Anthony Napolitan go head to head for BMX Dirt supremecy as Bohen sets himself up for a third consecutive X Games Gold. With tricks including triple tailwhips and 720 barspins, you know that the whole event was pumped up like a tyre ready to explode, and it certainly did that. That's not the end of the action though as Episode 1 also features Skateboard vert action, which takes place on 128 foot of vert ramp, the biggest in X Games history. Sandro Diaz, Bob Burnquist and Olympic Gold medalist Shaun White all take centre stage for this balls to wall clash of vert masters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Episode 2: BMX Vert and Moto X: 22/10/2006 @6pm Believe us, you’ll definitely not want to miss this one, there are more new tricks than magic circle convention. This episode has all the action from the BMX Vert and with Dave Mirra injured in the practise runs, the door is left open for Simon Tabron or Jamie Bestwick to take the crown. And then there was Moto X. If you haven't seen the grainy youtube clips of Travis Pastrana performing the most ridiculous DOUBLE backflip in the Moto X Best Trick comp, the you have to tune in and watch the whole thing. It'll make you feel warm all over. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Epsiode 3: BMX Park and Rally Car Racing: 23/10/2006 The BMX riders enter the mass of obstacles that is the X Games street course, but with Dave Mirra out with a lacerated liver and Ryan Nyquist with a sprained ankle, the top spot is left wide open so it's time for Josh Harrington and Alistair Whitton to take charge. Up next is an event which made it’s debut at X Games 12, and the fast-paced, full-throttled action meant it was an instant hit. Colin McRae in the X Games? Surely not! But yep, there he was along with Ken Block, Lauchlin O'Sullivan and that insane X Games chameleon, Travis Pastrana vying for top spot. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 4: Moto X Freestyle: 24/10/2006 @ 6pm Massive air and ridiculous tricks are common place at the X Games Episode 4 is an all out assault of Moto X Freestyle madness where the excitement of the Best Trick comp is extended to a full 90 seconds of throttle busting action as riders like Travis Pastana, Mike Mason, Mat Rebeaud and Ronnie Faisst all thrash it out for the X Games title. Alongside the freestyle action is the high jump of Moto X, the step up comp. With Brian Deegan, Myles Richmond and Jeremy McGrath all testing to see who has the legs to clear heights of up to 33 foot and seal the deal as X Games champ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Episode 5: Skateboard Big Air and Surfing: 25/10/2006 @ 6pm The mega ramp fanatics were out in force for this one, as two time defending champ and general mega ramp loon Danny Way headed up the competition in this aerial display of skateboard finesse. With either a 50 foot or 62 foot roll in to launch the skaters over the mammoth gap, the speeds and distances would have caused many pros enough trouble, so imagine the disbelief as Bob Burnquist attempted a front flip. Awesome watching. To finish off, there is some surfing action as the rules and regulations to the best wave action get explained. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 6: Supermoto and the Freestyle Final: 26/10/2006 @ 6pm Combining tarmac and dirt jumps, Supermoto is the b*****d hybrid of some sicko motorbike fan. With tyres not quite knobbly enough for dirt, but too knobbly for tarmac, these riders power slide around the mixed terrain course at breakneck speed, treating it wth as little regard as possible. This is followed up with the final of Freestyle Moto X, which sees Pastrana attempt to take his third gold of the games by pulling an array of tricks which make Sir Isaac Newton weep and rip up all his work about gravity, even though he's dead. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 7: BMX Big Air and Moto Madness: 27/10/2006 @ 6pm It's time to take those BMXs higher than a kite as it's Big Air time, and I mean big. Kevin Robinson (king of the double flair), Chad Kady, Alan Cooke and Morgan Wade all attempt to rise above one another, literally, and combine not only a trick over the huge gap, but also one out of the monsterous vert quarter pipe that they ride into. Like a free-for-all but involving motorbikes, Moto Madness is pretty much that, just all the top riders like Deegan, Pastrana, McGrath doing burnouts, tricks, wheelies and just about anything else they can think of. Silly, but very entertaining. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Episode 8: Skateboard Vert and Highlights: 28/10/2006 @ 6pm A favourite amongst many, the Skateboard vert event has produced some ridiculous achievements in the past - the 900 for example. This year was no different, as Bob Burnquist, Sandro Diaz, Rune Glifberg and Bucky Lasek to name a few took to the vert ramp to compete for X Games gold. Previous winner Burnquist, pinned as favourite, faced some stiff competition, especially from the likes Diaz who has been known to pull the 900. Highlights, what can I say. All the best bits from this array of ridiculous sports, where each year boundaries get broken and skills progress to new levels.
  13. No chance! Thought all that `based on` stuff was just marketing stuff at the time...was good though, only horror film that freaked me in the last... well ever!
  14. £20ish jeans from Next.... seem alright!
  15. Sorry to ramble on... but what, they like say.... "6 people from the `paid us more cash queue` and 6 scumbags from the `didn't want to pay/bribe us more money queue" - "PS.. Don't you scumbags try sitting near the front... actually, make that 2 scumbags and sit near the back"! If so... that freakin outrageous! I'd be throwing rocks at them mutherf**kers... that's well out of order! Maybe I'm getting this wrong? Sos again, have a good day chaps.
  16. I was gonna mention the ghost clip in `three men and a baby` but this seems to disprove it.youtubevid Found though! Look closely!
  17. Extreme_biker0...... Fair enough, but I say again...... we were ALL in a VERY bad state, if anything, I was the slightly calmer member of our group (it was me who suggested the priest :$ , oh no, not again haha) Try it mate, you would be surprised.....none of us where remotely intelligent enough to come up with the shit that board was spewing out! Ah` well..... Small_Gear_Big_Style......that's a really nice story man, I believe all that.
  18. Thanks for that, I do go a little too far sometimes, especially when talking about music I have met a few (would never have believed it) gay men and they were sound people... like they need my approval! I'm just saying it is unnatural wether that be male/female homosexuals / bonobo chimps / or my gay dog! I could bore the shit out whoever about making babies/reproduction of the species etc, but surly we all know the score on that one... look at nature programmes....not bonobo monkey ones obviously...them little `tards would stick it in anything! I don't expect them to say "I'm a freak or something"....as if, and there not! But please don't make out it's a choice or something..... just accept it and keep it to yourself.... huh? God forbid I have a kid and he/she thinks its a choice! I don't know who the hell I'm talking too here btw! Right thats it, my eyes are killing me, G`night PS: I don't think I'll mention that other `choice` I was gonna talk about... just about got out of this hole I dug myself... I think!
  19. Boll-ocks! Ignore it mate.
  20. I used to earn some cash doing 'comic book flatting' for the Yanks using Photoshop! $10-$20 per page, direct into your paypal account. Yeah` it took me a while learning and stuff, but I'm mad about them funny books, so it was easy for me to get into! here is what I'm talking about (stupid link - see tutorials!) I can supply info/where to advertise yourself on demand. Well its an idea / you asked / can do it from home!
  21. Watch it you! Ho` hum..... the priest invited us in (what he must have thought of us?), told us not to mess with that shit. Gave us some........oh god` :$ ......holy water, told us to chuck it round the house etc, burn the dam board and stay up all night or something! Can't think why that would help us, but like we were going to sleep soundly anyway! Holy water! How embarassing! He may have blessed us also........oh` christ! :$ We were so shitting it! PS There was a lot of other crazy shit that week involving that board, but I can't quite remember any good bits. (Yeah..drugs !) hahaha
