  1. I dont know mate the magura's on my xc bike have got better with the cold weather, There a lot more "bitey" and have a much more solid feel to them. they also work well in the rain aswell(just running standard black pads)
  2. Thanks mate. I was thinking about buying them but i dont see the point now if you have to buy the pads at £16-£19 anyway then have the hassle of cutting them out and stuff i think ill just stick with the plastic backings. PS: Are koxx yellows any good on smooth rims?
  3. Looking on the heatsink website at these new ally backings, but i dont understand how you go about putting other compounds in them? say you wanted to put Zoo! pads in there would you buy some Zoo! pads then cut them out of the powerpad backing and put them in your new metal ones?
  4. If you read his post properly you will understand he means hs33's are becoming less popular in other aspects of riding IE: freeride or xc not that rear disks are more popular in trials than a magura.
  5. Im using the try-all foams from tartybikes £7. next time im going to get the monty foams from cleanbikes there only £5 and there basicaly the same grip only cheaper, but dont be buying the foams for the brand name as it wears off in like 2 rides.
  6. Im not sure if there is any. I think it would have to be a theift only one becuase if you had to clam for damages all the time your quote would be though the roof!
  7. Fox are expensive but they last for longer. the kona ones im using are £20 from a lbs £15 on ebay, Ive been using them every day for either trials, cross country or commute for a year(well i got them for christmas) and now there realy worn with large holes in but i think thats alright for a glove thats been used every day for almost a year.
  8. To find your hand size: (1) Extend your hand flat. (2) With a tailor's measuring tape, wrap it around the hand just below the knuckles and fingers, but above the thumb. This will give you an inch measurement. (3) Now use the following table to determine appropriate glove sizing using the guide below: 7" Extra Small 8" Small 9" Medium 10" Large 11" Extra Large 12" Extra, Extra Large If your hand measures between sizes, order the larger size. Im using Kona- Back country gloves i think there great i have the red ones.
  9. Realy thick black oil, broken glass and household waste nah i think ill leave it.
  10. Well they might of payed someone to get rid of the waste thinking they were going to do it properly but still when/if contacted they can say who they payed to do it leading the council/police to the offender.
  11. I am very pissed off. I went out riding today got to our local natural/streety spot only to find it had been fly tipped on to the max! Theres 6 very large drums of filthy black oil along with lots of small containers of the stuff, Propane canisters(6) and butane cansiters(4) a whole house lot of timber windows most of which has been smashed so most of the floor is covered with broken glass, About 50-60 used car tires, various bumpers and car parts and lots of house hold waste! this has totaly ruined the spot and made it unrideable. But while a friend was having a look around the rubbish he found some letters with their address on, so we have sent them a snotty letter and are also grassing them to th council. Now its just a matter of time untill the local kids come and start setting fire to the oil drums, burning down the whole area for good!
