  5. hey chaps, here are a couple of shots of my ride. i hope to drill and brush the front rim when i get the time to match the rear - i saved a fifth of the weight when i drilled the rear rim! weight is 8.9kg. comments welcome
  6. i'd just like to ask, do you have to be seeded to ride in elite? i knew this was the case a few years ago but not sure if that rule still goes.. venue's are looking good
  7. sitting on the floor? is that some kind of hint?? i'm not 100% sure matts coming to this one?
  8. ohh dear! and you dont even smoke, biggest waste of time ever? although if you enjoy making stuff that much, then it's all good
  9. no, but i would rattle can a bike frame. and have done several times. ever heard of a thing called job satisfaction? everytime you look at your frame you can think - 'i did that, it looks well good' or you can think ' the powdercoaters/professionals did that because i didn't think i was good enough to do it myself' the long and short of it is that you can get a good finish with rattle cans if done properly, and the paint job can involve more than one colour. as for it taking 3 days, thats a bit of an over-exaggeration, unless you watch the paint dry... each to their own i suppose, and i can see the benefits of a powder coat!
  10. ok, lets sort out dates lads. how does 28th -29th arrival time sound? (friday-saturday).
  11. very tempting as i'm doing a cyclocross race in prestatyn which is just the other side of rhyl...

  16. looking forward to number 3 i loved the natural section in the second half of the 2nd episode. what a good piece of riding !!
  17. anyone experienced the wonders of the leeson brake mount fix? i had it done on one of my old frames (black mamba). clive leeson bonds short threaded studs into the frame so that the mounts slide on and are secured by washers and nuts. pretty good fix to be honest which made brake setting up easy! doubt he does that anymore though...
  18. make that a three way! oh, and who's paying for this cheese?
