  1. If you mean trials, there's not a huge amount of riding in Shropshire. Shrewsbury is probably the best place, but it's better just to get on the train to Birmingham.
  2. I was sent this for testing at the weekend. The brakes have a mysterious black pad material that provides no grip in the dry, and no grip in the wet... The forks have a 0 degree rake, and make turning at any speed very difficult. "Wheelies" in both directions are possible but quite tricky, front hops are easy, back hops aren't. Don't try to ride it up a kerb, you'll go flying over the front... Overall though it's great fun, and if for some reason you want one try Hawk Cycles
  3. B in music, B in business, C in IT, U in physics A few marks off the next grade up in music business and IT so should get AABU after retakes. Quite pleased
  4. On these small helicopters they usually have a board which combines all the electrics for the helicopter, the reciever, speed controller for the main and tail rotor motors (If it has a seperate motor for the tail rotor, which it probably will) etc and if this gets wet you're probably screwed. Just take it back to wherever you got it and say it's faulty, as long as it's not a model shop they won't know what happened... If you fancy trying a model helicopter that's much better quality try something like the first one on this page: http://www.revolutionmodels.co.uk/acatalog...ummingbird.html They are pretty much indestructible and very cheap (Compared to a nitro one...), and feel like the bigger ones to fly.
  5. It's Hungarian Rhapsody, not symphony But it's a great piece, version's even better (Just the bit near the end (the cadenza) is different.) Another very showy piece like Hungarian Rhapsody no.2 is Islamey by Balakirev. It was considered for a long time to be the hardest piece ever written. It's one of the pieces i'm currently working on. Ondine by Ravel is another one of my personal favourites, the second half of the piece is incredible, here's the best bit. It was actually written specifically to be harder than Islamey... I learned it last year and it still amazes me.
  6. Yeah I wondered what that was. Maybe he was trying to modify the frame for some weird project, screwed up then decided to blame Zona. It also looks as if the bit that snapped off has been pushed back and forwards to make it snap from the wavyness of it.
  7. I don't see how that could possibly snap off in one go unless the wheel axle wasn't tight, it must have cracked at the bb or brake mount first then ridden after that. No way that was done in 20 minutes anyway
  8. I doubt there's many 12y/o trials riders in the UK, let alone in wolverhampton. I've never ridden there though (Mainly because I don't want to get mugged ) so there may be. If it really matters about having someone the same age then persuade a mate to get a trials bike or something.
  9. Just because you've never seen any riders around doesn't mean there aren't any. I know there are some riders in Wolverhampton, and Birmingham isn't too far away and lots of riders go there.
  10. I'm a wiki mod, as is Anjow. We can revert edits, ban people, delete pages etc, but we can't change anything on the forum.
  11. I'm a pianist/ composer. I mostly play classical and jazz stuff for fun, and I work for a musical theatre company playing piano and also as a pianist for events and stuff. It's the easiest job ever and pays pretty well too... Piano ***.

This is a user page; http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/User:Tomturd So try editing that, you shouldn't be able to.
  13. I don't know about cars but you may be interested in this company, they are one of the best for aftermarket RC heli upgrades. http://quickuk.co.uk

How should the naming work? Would "Brakes" be fine as the name of the parent category, then have "Brake related HOWTOs", "Brake manufacturers" etc?

Would it be better to change the "Mechanical HOWTOs" section to a bike related section, keep the picture menu thing the same, but for example the the brakes page could become a parent category, with general information about brakes on the page, then linking to various sub categories such as brake related HOWTOs, a list of brake pads, etc. Obviously it would be a bit more refined than that... Hope that makes sense...

I've added a category for riding locations. Some kind of standard format for riding spot articles will need to be decided upon. I'm thinking an article for each town, then in that provide details of individual spots, such as exact location, what's there, difficulty level, possibly pictures etc. Edit: maybe have categories for counties or regions too, then in that category have the individual towns? Would make it less cluttered and easier to find towns relevant to the user.

That page should probably be added to the main menu? I presume only Tomturd can do that?

I'm still trying to think of how it could be improved. Is it possible to make the images on the main page under the maintainence section link to the relavent page, rather than to the image? I.e. when you click the brakes picture it takes you to the brakes page? More categories need introducing too, so there can be a category for manafacturers, frames, riders etc

Is it spelt CZAR or Czar? Tartybikes says Czar.
  20. I like the look of some of those. What is the geo of them? Welding looks a little untidy in places but the price is right... Does he have a contact address?
  21. Surely if you're thinking of buying a vehicle you would go and look at one...
  22. ditto. I've tried everything i can think of and it still won't work.
  23. Leeson use Reynolds 725 and I think Pashley use Reynolds 531. I think leeson braze the frames, may be wrong though.
  24. I thought it was the colour of the rockshox sidehop forks at the time. May be wrong though. A mate of mine had the Green Frog special editions, they looked so nice with machined boosters and orange TPAs.
  25. It explains why they are rubbish here.
