I would agree that all the political correctness in this country is a bit much, but how does it really affect us? It doesn't, deal with it... On the opposite end of the spectrum, when I was in the military we were actually told off for being afraid to say what we think. On day three of basic training a sergeant made us stand in front of the rest of the troop and say the most racist/ sexist/ anti semitic joke we could think of. People of ethnic minorities were referred to by their stereotype, and NCOs would take the piss out of them for it, but only in the same way as they'd take the piss out of the guy with funny ears, the stupid voice, etc etc. I'm sure if they had taken offense to it then it would have stopped, but they didn't because that was the way things work. Admittedly the two worlds aren't compatible, as the Prince Harry/ Paki incident shows...
