Thats totally how i felt. Ive never lost anyone before, and id see the topics of the other riders and although i payed attention to them and maybe made a reply, you dont register that someone has actually gone. You can pay your condolences but until you actually loose someone you cant actually fully relise and feel it in your heart that someone has died and what people are going through.

About 10+ cars worth of people went up tonight and laid flowers, it was so emotional. Just showed what a loved guy he was with how many turned out. I mentioned a ride to a couple of the lads and we going to have one in blackburn i think, it would be to early to sort soemthing out now. I think im going to try and organise it, but i think it should only be people hes rode with before but thats for everyone to decide. I most likely got most people on msn but if you knew or just rode with him and would want to come add me on msn chelseafan_5@hotmail.co.uk i might not reply for a day or 2 though.

Well most people won't know or of rode with josh, his name was mtbjosh on here and stop comeing on a while ago. I dont know the full details only found out vaguely at dinner today. But josh passed away after a motobike accident last night. I regarded him as one of me best mates had some brilliant times with him on and off the trials bike, its just not set in yet. Id not spoke to him in a few weeks and so him on msn last night and was going to start a chat up but didn't and just went to bed instead. I cant believe i did that now. i dont know what much more there is to say other than ill miss you dude x edit: a video he made of me and him with adam in aswell from 2006. Us three ust to be inceprible from our bikes had some mint days out. Me and josh would fight against each other trying to out do the other sadly i think he won in the end he turned out little better than me when we last rode. I ust to have a nack for when he couldnt make a move id say do this and the next time he tryed he'd do it.
  5. No! for a brake that actually works and doesnt leak everytime you knock the crossover and actually holds your weigth when on the endge of a rock. Well set up vee rules, kicks magura and shitty disks arse.
  6. Ive been runing vee for a year now id say and id never go back to magura. If you are using a cheap lever get rid and get a sd7. Replace your cable with an xtr or odessy linear slick or something like that a decent one and make sure its lubed. I havnt got a booster get one a salsa or xtr if you can if not just anything is better than nothing. Maybe buy some new pads if needed if not give your rim a harsh grind this will help the pads bed in (yours pads have to bed in everytime you alter them). Best way to set them up ive found is to take your time and not do a quick rushed job. Screw the cable adjuster on the lever all the way in as that creates flex. Loosen off the bolt on the arm that holds your cable tight now pull it though to where you like the lever to pull into ( nipping the bolt up pull the lever in lightly to find how it feels and changeing and doing same again is best way ive found) when youve got it how you want tighten it up. Undo a pad pull the lever in move the pad so its sitting in middle of rim and pull the lever in hand with one hand and tighten the bolt with the other. Do the same on the other pad. Now wind both spring screws off. Start to tighten them now keeping the pads even so tigthening or loosening as appropriate. Keep checking the lever and how light it feels. You can get it to feel so lighter with a well lubed cable it really helps with arm pump. You want the lever to feel smooth and lighter but with enough spring tension to retract the lever properly and smoothly. Now you have the feel of lever how you want, check the pads to see if they are hitting properly because you have moved thearms so the pads will have moved also change if need be. If you have to change the pads recheck they are equal distance and if need be change the spring tension checking the lever feel aswell. Once youve done that your brake should be amazing. Vees arnt known for bite so if thats what your expecting im afriad unless you run a smooth rim and bit of tar its not what you will get. Vees are known for there unbelievable hold. If you get a booster dont use any big spacer things just use a washer or 2 just so everything clears that way its alot stiffer. Hope ive helped, and like adam said stay off the tar.
  7. Dont forget that the actual wheel base and bb rise of the rockman will change if you use any other forks other than koxx. The wheelbase will be 10mm longer and also the bb rise will be higher as most forks have a longer leg lenght compared to koxx.
  8. looks good nice and plain. bash looks shit though
  9. Im not to arsed about the headtube really, dont think i can be bothered to tidy it up or strip all the paint lol looks of a bike dont bother me just how they ride. not spraying it just guna leave it. Cant ride tomoro bent my front wheel and yeah i would show you i supose.... with all the huge moves id be pulling
  10. well spotted unusual. May be cuts down abit on cost of them being produced.
  11. doesnt matter really its not like your doing it with a companies component. Like mat said mike got the compound of ali, and said he was only usingit for personal use obviously not. Ali isnt bothered would just like some recognition for them though as he took the time to find the compound and wasnt perticuarly happy someone took the compound changed the name and sold them as there own pads. Up to you weather you just use it for personal use or sell it, it doesnt really matter now.
  12. didnt state what number it was you just put bt raven
  13. Yeah it is looking alittle rough, but i ran out of nitromorse, and couldnt be arsed fileing the headtube. I may tidy it up with file if i can be bothered but im not right bothered about looks to be honest and never have been. And its a bt raven 5. Should have it built tomoro if i have my headset with a VEE as usual non of this crappy rear disk marlarky and ear breaking loud maggie brakes with no hold.
  14. Got this other day, ill let you guess what frame it is. not perticuarly hard. Any ideas to make it lighter are welcome might take the hole out at the end ofthe downtube instead of 5holes.
  15. its upside down is the adaptor. the mount on the frame is proberly set at -20 like koxx frames i think, So bigest rotar will be a 180 you can use. mechanical brakes dont think have proved to be as good on the back as they are on the front so a hope 180 with 203 adaptor should be plenty powerfull or even a 160. Dont no if thats any help.

  18. I learnt by using sheldonbrowns guide (google him). Brill guide with all the info you need.
  19. Letter wouldnt do much as i doubt they'd even read them after third one and just bin them. Best thing to do is to make sure the whole mini community knows about it, through forums, meets, track days ect
  20. If you cant just pull it apart like he did. Then take the non driveside cone off and put the hub on something and knock the axel. This way you will get the cassete off but still attached to the axel as the axel will come out to. YYou should be able to sort the problem out from that now as it will more than likely be the spacers. If you need to get the axel off the cassette screw the fun bolt in on the driveside about half way may be more and give it a knock and axel should drop out, it shouldnt damage threads at all as they are pritty beefy and i did it fine meself. Would recomend giving it a grease when going together so things slide off next time. edit, could be a snapped spring. edit 2, only difference between the pro2 and pro2t apart from one being qr axel is that the pawls are offset so you have twice the pickups, otherwise same hub.
