Just tap it softly and take your time to make sure its going in striaght.

Well what don't you like about it? If the wheelbase is to long find something shorter, bb to low find something higher. Just narrow it down like that to different frames. Remember though more expensive frame doesn't always mean you'll ride better. One of my favourite mod frames is the t-pro.
-
it all depends on your riding style, vincent hermance ust to ride a koxx xtp and used a 135x20 stem i think it is off top of my head and they only had 10 or so bb rise i think so in theory there was need for such a big stem just depends on your style. If your streety stick to short with nice set of risers. If your more technical or tgs you may want something longer and higher to improve rear wheel control.

Headtube flaring is pritty common especially with riders doing hooks, it might not be so seeable if you usually buy newish frames or new ones but frames a year plus you can tell the difference when fitting a headset. Personally i think a steel insert is a good idea.

You mean the one of felix versus marco?

so honestly most mod riders didn't have double disk? i find that hard to believe, most of the comp scene is split between to makes monty and koxx and with monty you have no option at the moment but to ride double disk, and most big boys on the koxx side, ride with double disk such as benito and carlos, ino that trialtech rider doesn't but thats only one rider. you say you won't struggle to sell them but i wouldnt be so confident in it with the amount of mod frames on the market. Youve really kicked yourself in the foot as it doesn't matter if the frame was designed for a top rider or the world riders scene as thats not who will be buying it, the general public will, very few will be sold to top uci/biu riders compared to the normal public. Plus if the weight was a big issue the rider would just chop the disk mount off anyway and grind back the bash mounts.

If he sticks with it, potentially a top world rider id say with how old he looks.

Odessy linear slick is my choice of weapon. I got mine free when i got a part off bigman, and even then was stiffer than a xtr cable and as smooth if not smoother. Ive never felt they are ruff and im still using the same cable 6months on.

But they are all so similar in geos thats just stupid. its just logic when you bring a product line out such as frames you have the frames with a sutible geo difference this way you are targeting a wider range of the trialing comunity. Bringing 5 frames out some with 5mm wheelbase difference just doesnt make much sense.
-
the reason its changed is because, gilles said so. the hydroxx was developed by gilles and tested by him as far as im aware. And obviously he decided he wanted a different geo for the comeing year. I wouldnt bet on the geos being the actual figures though i would wait for them to be in stock and measured up. Also the boxx isnt on the there and im sure it won't have been dropped so just shows not to trust things that are comeing soon. Am i only one who thinks its crazy that they have brought out so many sky bikes? Just asumeing all there geos are going to be similar like they are listed, whats the need? they arnt helping them selves as it means shops have to stock an awful lot of stock which i sure they won't be keen on as it could turn to dead stock by the end of the year if its not shifted and all the frames are similar geo anyway so most people will just buy for the colour, seems stupid in such a small sport and a brand that is so expensive.

train really isnt a good idea, unless you like walking.

One thing that i do hate about competitions and proberly always will do, is people dabbing. Sounds stupid ino but let me explain. I hate technical dabbing i would much rather attempt a section and go for the challengeing move and risk things than stick my foot down. Im fed up of being beat by some 10year old who sticks there foot down and doesnt even attempt the hard bits, where as i go for it and sometimes pull it off other times and five it.

ive done one or two tyke trials this year and try to do as many as possible, usually i retire though because im not fit enough anymore. i have to agree in that the atmosphere can be crap at times. And usually its becuase of a few riders who take things wayyyyyy to seriously, i dont mean they take the riding to seriously as its understandable if you want to win. But there attitude outside of the section when waiting ect. When me and friends do the comps, we try in the sections and piss about outside of them and have a laff.
-
They pissed around for about a year and half i think with excuses why it wasnt ready and when it finally arrived it wasnt road worthy or to the spec, i think thats right im sure someone noes more though.
-
I actually do inderstand the reason most people are going disk on mod. But for the love of god its a discrase to trials using it on stock. May be a tad over the top but yeah theres no need a rim brake works and feels better and saves a new wheel every week if your more than 5 stone and ride harsher than stan shaw.

I dont want this to get blown out of propotion, thats how i felt. I do understand though now from bens point that it is hard to approach people when it was a ride like it was with alot of family and riders close to each other. It just seemed like at the time the ride was being used as a promotion. Anyway it can be dropped now.

A frame with vee mounts and non of this high bb crap

because i was there and i was one of joshs best mates thats why, and that ben didnt know josh. Im not starting an arguement though just expressing my feelings.
-
I actually feel a tad anoyed. You didnt have any intentions of photographing the event really you was just interested in rossi chris and matt ( no hard feelings to them) and seems promotion for your site. There was plenty of riders and riding going down at a decent level aswell but you didnt even try or was interested in photographing anyone else.

viz are good

Good riding, bit of advice though. On sidehops your tucking is actually making you sidehop smaller than you could. Your bringing your body down to the bike to tuck. Instead to go bigger you should be bringing the bike up into you. Thats how the big boys like damon do it. Best way to describe it is if you trackstand what your doing is squating down to the bike. instead of jumping up.

Im wanting to get some stickers made for joshua holmes, a trials rider and best mate who passed away a few weeks ago. Im shit on photoshop, and normally wouldnt ask this but was wondering if someone who is decent would make me a design. It would be greatly appreciated. For anyone who is willing to help me out the design i would like is *RIP in big letters- depending on how it looks either a full colour or semi transparent *Joshua in smaller letters over the top of rip- again a full colour or transparent depending on how it looks *Underneath joshua. holmes in the centre with the dates 13/04/90 08/09/08 either side of it Id like a black background and the writing in lime green as similar as possible to kawasaki green. Also green camo could be incorporated in somewhere if its possible but its not a must If you feel you know a better variation with the lettering ect feel free to try it out for me thank you. Either reply or pm me or even add me chelseafan_5@hotmail.co.uk
