  1. Onzaboymark, When you said a video on how not to make a video you were not lying!! There were more shots of the back of peoples heads than there were of Ryan leech. Half the time I could not figure what the hell was going on. One things for sure, whoever did the camera work needs to stay away from a camera. On a different note, I have a question about the Ryan Leech frame the "Moment" from Norco. Is there any reason why this frame has a suggested price of $725? Comparing the frame to some of the other frames on the market it looks like it's geometry is about 7 or 8 years old. Maybe I don't know what I am talking about but it does not seem to be worth $725 or even $625. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  2. street trials rider, Dude, I was just messing with you! I wish I could bunnyhop 52", that’s 4ft 4"! In truth the highest hop I ever did was 45"(I did measure). However, about three months later I attempted a retaining wall that was about 4ft 2" high. I did not make it over. Every time I tried my rear wheel would never make it over. I wish I could have hopped 52" but at that time my desire to ride street was declining and my waist line was expanding. 52" would be a very high hop, although many have done it. In the end 40" is still a very high hop. That is great accomplishment in your riding because their are riders that have been riding for fifteen years and can't hop 40". Ride on, Deadly Venom
  3. street trials rider, 40" inches is damn good!! Before I stopped street riding to go flatland my highest bunnyhop ever was 52". Be sure to make another video! Ride on, Deadly venom
  4. street trials rider, That was an excellent video! I think my favorite part was when that young man(I don't know if it was you or someone else) came down that parking garage ramp spiral crouched down with the bike leaned on it's side. That is the first time I have seen someone do that particular trick like that. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  5. Leedstrials, If the two brands have good quality then I don't think I will have anything to worry about. Now all I have to do is choose between the two. Matt Hudson, Here is the web address to paul components:www.paulcomp.com From what I have read paul produces quality hubs. They also have a interesting looking chain tensioner for single speed applications. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  6. Onzaboymark, If White Industries produces quality components maybe I will give the ENO hub a try. Div, It appears as though the ZOO bars are the way to go. They look like they have a nice comfortable shape. Has anyone here tried the Word hub from Paul components? I have read positive reviews about the hub but the reviews come from riders who are not into trials. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  7. SQuiT-man, I am going to build a 26inch bike and it will be used for natural trials only. I just thought that it might be a good bar to consider. But if it is not a good bar I will just go with the ZOO! As for the weight, I don't think 380g is going to give me a hernia. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  8. leedstrials, There no good for natural trials are they? I just recently noticed them, when I saw them I thought they may be a nice set of bars to consider. They look very similar to the KOXX oversize riser bar, which is one of the main reasons why I asked if they were a good bar. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  9. SpunkyMonkey, I have thought about the possibility of putting the ENO freewheel on the new Echo fixed hub. Will it fit with out a problem? Thanks for the offer on the hub! If I can't find one I may buy from you, but I am sure someone in the USA sells the DMR single speed hub or I could go with something else so don't hold me to it. Onzaboymark, Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?!? Had trouble with White Industries Products have we? I have read some reviews on the ENO hubs and the majority of them have been positive. But, the reviews all come from downhill and XC riders. So it is difficult to determine if it will be good for trials. I just emailed BTI-USA, so I'll have to wait to see what they say. And QBP does not import DMR hubs. TomN, I would order the DMR hub from over seas but sometimes ordering stuff from overseas can be a real royal pain in the ass! It can be even worse if you have to return the merchandise for an exchange or refund. On the subject of handlebars, some of you had to have tried the Race Face Diabolus handlebars. So what is the verdict? Are they good or bad? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  10. Ali C, TomN, I keep forgetting to note that I am from the United States. I should have said that I am having trouble finding a U.S. based store that sells the DMR revolver hub. The information on the Race Face website says that the Diabolus bar has a 9 degree rearward sweep and a 4 degree upward sweep with a 1.5 inch rise(38.1mm rise). Would this be to much for trials? I don't know how much rearward sweep and upward sweep the ZOO! riser bars have so I am unable to compare their specifications. It would be nice if the ZOO! website would give all specifications. I don't know if I can find a 21 tooth chainring. I have heard of 20, 22 and 24 tooth but not 21. Keep Riding, Deadly Venom
  11. I have been researching single speed hubs for a little while now and I have come across the White Industries ENO eccentric and non eccentric hubs and the Paul components Word hub. My question is, are these hubs suitable for trials use? I want to use an ENO trials freewheel on the rear instead of the crank. In a previous thread someone recommended the DMR revolver hub. I have had a bit of trouble locating a store that sells this hub. So I was hoping that these two hubs would be good alternatives. The main reason why I am looking at these and not the Chris King hub is because of the price. The Chris King hub is just so expensive. If push comes to shove I will get the Chris King but in the mean time I want to see if there is an alternative. The next question I have is about the Race Face Diabolus handlebar. Although I was set on the ZOO! riser bar, I just noticed these bars and they seem rather nice. Is the Race face Diabolus bar a good bar for trials use? Or is the Diabolus a set of Bars I should stay away from? I just thought of something, I plan to use Middleburn cranks, if I go with the ENO freewheel on the rear which is 18 tooth which would be the best gear ratio 20:18 or 22:18? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  12. Clawz114, Young man, definitely stay in school! If you don't go to school you will find out just how bad life can be. Without an education it will be more difficult to find employment and the jobs you do find are going to give much lower pay. It is hard to move through life when you don't have much money. On top of that, when you are educated people will have more respect for you because they will see that you have a mind. Believe what I have written young man, you do not want to go through life without an education, trust me, I know from experience. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  13. Davetrials, I think you maybe right about people not checking the Official Songs In Videos Thread. Since you guys are on the subject, what is the name of the song in ZOO-video-27? It is the one that has Yao Zhi riding natural. The song is a hip hop song in French. Ride On, Deadly Venom
  14. Does anyone here know the name of the song and it's artist in Zoo-video-27? It is the one that has Yao Zhi riding all natural terrain. The song is a hip hop song in French. Keep Riding, Deadly Venom
  15. Davetrials, My man, where have you been! That's Lee Shi Min's new company! Ride on, Deadly Venom
  16. Boon, Thanks for the info on the song and artist! Ride On, Deadly Venom
  17. I don't mean to steal this thread but since you guys are on the subject of music in the Steve videos I have a question also. My question is, what is the name of the song and it's artist in the Steve_a5 video? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  18. deanie-b, Going with the begging approach are we! I hope you have good luck, I try the same thing with the ladies but it doesn't seem to work very well. Please baby, baby please! It just makes sense to brag about your own products. After all, you made them and you want to make a profit, a good way to get peoples attention is to say "My product are the cats B.O. and everyone else is a load of crap." Now, the trick is making sure your products really are as good as you say they are. Ride On, Deadly Venom
  19. deanie-b, You made a good point. Every company says that their product is the best, after all, it's their product! If I had a company I would certainly say that my products are the best thing since toilet paper. And the influx of new products does give consumers a variety of products to choose from. Even if it is from the same company which can be both good and bad. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  20. deanie-b, Not to give you any great criticism but Yao Zhi is not Japanese. He is Chinese. And so is Qijong Deng. The 20" inch from does look like a Python copy and the parts do look like a collection of Echo parts. The 26" inch bike looks like The 2005 Zoo pitbull. But, I am glad the young man has his own company. One thing I did not know is that he is 23 years old! I thought he was still a teenager. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  21. leedstrials, Sometimes when a word is used in a derogatory manner it can turn into a colloquialism. Blacks use the word nigga as an insult or a term of endearment. However, this is not exclusive black people. Southern whites here in the U.S. often call each other hillbilly or redneck. Both of these are offensive terms but among each other they can mean different things. I'll give an example, I have two friends, both are Italian. They use the words guido and wop more than their last names. To them it can be both a term of endearment or an insult. There have been times when I had to tell them stop. They would even use the words wop and guido in their parents restaurant when we were younger. If someone else were to call them that it would mostly likely be in a derogatory manner and they would definitely get upset and start a fight at the drop of a hat. Then again, they get into fights if someone looks at them the wrong way. P.S. I apologize for stealing this thread. Ride on, Deadly venom
  22. Snappel, The term 'gay' originally means to be merry or to be happy. Just like the word 'queer' means something that is odd or strange is now used to describe homosexuals. It just so happened that people started to use the word in a derogatory manner towards homosexuals. The word Nigger was a derogatory word from the very beginning. Just like the words spic, chink, slope etc. To say the someone is gay because they engage in a certain activity or do something odd is rather silly. But to say something like "Anyone who rides a Zoo is a nigger" is just down right stupid. It would be the same thing if I said that anyone who owns a British motorcycle is a 'Limey b*****d.' Which is just as ridiculous and offensive. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  23. Felix, Another great video as usual! That young man has a very high bunny hop, I use to think I had a high bunny hop. I guess I was wrong. And his bike control is phenomenal. On a different note, I don't know if you take requests but can you make another video of you riding natural trials? Keep Riding, Deadly Venom

Looking at the picture James Porter posted and comparing it to the photo on the ZOO! website something about the frame on the ZOO! website looks different. And I am not talking about the components or the earlier mentioned bottom bracket rise. Maybe its me or just the way the picture was taken. There is something different about the frame but I just can't put my finger on it. One thing I can say is those ZOO! handle bars are just lovely! I am definitely going to get a pair of those for my bike. That shape looks very nice and comfortable. Speaking of components, I see that the bike in the picture that James Porter posted is using the new ZOO! cranks. How are these cranks? Are they nice and sturdy? Keep Riding, Deadly Venom
  25. I have noticed that a lot of riders are using single speed instead of multiple speed but I thought that some riders did use them in sections. I guess I was wrong. So I guess there really is no need for multiple gears if your not going to compete. Several people have recommended the putting the ENO freewheel on a DMR revolver hub. It looks like this is the way to go. But, if I can't find a Revolver hub would the White Industries ENO single speed eccentric and non eccentric hub be a good choice? And how about the Paul Word single speed hub? Ride on, Deadly Venom
