  1. I recently read that the chain tension required on 26 inch bikes does not allow for the derailleur to function properly. Is this True? If it is true, how do riders in Competitions shift while in a section? Ride on, Deadly Venom

    06 Pitbull

hinchcblob, Young man, the ZOO! bikes website is full of pictures of the ZOO Pitbull in complete form. Just follow the link below. ZOO! Bikes: www.zoobike.com Ride on, Deadly Venom
  3. Mr. Kenny, I am very impressed with the video!! That young man has an excellent riding style, great balance and smooth bike control. I love the backwards nose manuals. I know flatlanders that can not do backwards nose manuals that smooth. Ride On, Deadly Venom
  4. Although I do not have a trials bike yet I fully understand what you are talking about. I still get insulted by others and I ride BMX! One of the most common remarks I get is, "why do you ride flatland and not street? You must be scared to jump." Another comment I get is, "Don't you think your too tall for that little bike." I usually just ignore them. It will be difficult for some of you to get away from the bad comments because you guys are apart of a riding scene that is still very small and is just starting to breaking into the mainstream. The only reason why BMX riders get more respect(sometimes) is because it's on television. When the first wave of bmxing ended after the eighties if you rode BMX you were considered a complete loser. Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  5. Dave trials, Some people just don't ride well when they are alone. You can try to push your self to ride better when your alone but again, some people need the comradery of others to get them motivated. Me on the other hand I ride flatland alone all the time. I use to ride with two other people but I haven't seen them in a long time. Actually, I rather like riding alone but then again, I am alone most of the time anyway. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  6. Mr. Tonkery, My good man, it would help if you would include the link to the video. Ride on, Deadly Venom

    New Bt Video

Felix, Bravo!! Another excellent video featuring smooth, precise riding. Personally I like the fact that there is no music in your videos. It is nice to hear the natural sounds of the bike and the surrounding area instead of hearing blasting hardcore, deathmetal or grindcore all the time. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  8. karsonlevoret, Thanks for the info on the song and it's artist. I went to truetiger.co.uk and they did have some information on them but they did not have the song youngers on the site for sale or for listen. I would contact you through MSN but at the present moment I am not a subscriber of MSN. I will be soon though, so when I subscribe I will get in touch. Thank you, Deadly Venom
  9. Fellas, These videos are well above excellent!!! I really like the mix of serious street and natural riding with a bit of comedy. The editing was also top notch. One question about the music, in the natural section of video one what song is playing? I read the credits and I think it's called "Youngers" by True Tiger, is this the name of the song and it's artist? I tried looking for the artist and the song but could not find any information on the song or the artist. Ride On, Deadly Venom
  10. I thought the Adament A1 and the Czar Ivan was already available in the U.K. It has been availabe here in the United States for almost a month. Ride on, deadly venom
  11. Onzaboymark, Let's not get so hot under the collar, I was just making a comment. You made a very good point Mark. I ride flatland and I have to adjust my wheel after a while due to wheel movement causing the chain to slacken. I was just coming from my own experiences. Ride on, Deadly venom
  12. I saw a picture of the Acid Drop earlier this year and it is still an ugly bike!! That is an awful color and an unattractive frame design. Entry level or not, more thought should have gone into the design of that frame. As for the drop outs, for BMX and street style 26 inch bikes horizontal drop outs are a good choice. But for bikes like these it maybe better to have vertical drop outs especially if the bikes have multiple gears. Frames that have horizontal drop outs tend to have wheel movement inside of the drop outs. With such low gearing and all of the pedal kicking it may cause the rear wheel to move quite a bit in the frame. Not to mention the brake adjustment headaches that comes with frames with horizontal drop outs. Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  13. Everyone, Thanks for the info about the freewheels. And no, Locktite will not work correctly if the threads are dirty, so Janson and Onzaboymark are absolutely correct. Stay on, Deadly Venom
  14. Jansons' comment brings a question to my mind. What is the best front freewheel cranks for 26inch bikes? And what is the best fixed rear hub? Keep rolling, Deadly Venom
  15. JT, I keep forgetting that you can put a singlespeed freewheel on the rear on the these types of bikes. When I think of drivetrain setups I keep picturing multiple gearing, I probably should go with a single speed setup. With so many riders with 26 inch bikes using single speed it looks like this is the way to go. Ride that Bike, Deadly Venom
  16. Poopipe, I have read many comments about peoples usage of the ACS freewheel and most of them have been bad. This does not surprise me. The ACS freewheel is great for BMX riding but for trials I would not use one and I am new to trials and never been on a trials bike. The constant ratcheting of action of pedal kicking would ruin the internal mechanism rendering it useless after a relatively short time. Stay up, Deadly Venom
  17. Poopipe, Were you talking about the ACS claws freewheel or were you talking about the ENO Trials Freewheel? Because I thought you were talking about the ENO trials freewheels lock ring coming loose all the time. If the lock ring on the ENO trials freewheel consistently comes loose than it is not a very good design. Terror-error, The reason why I am contemplating going to a front freewheel setup is to lower the cost of my bike build up. The front freewheel setup is less expensive than the Middleburn Chris King setup. If the ENO is reliable I will go with the front Freewheel setup, If it is not I will just have to save up for little while longer and get the Middleburn Chris King setup. Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  18. Poopipe, Every 200 yards!?! That is not very reliable. If I decide to go with a front freewheel for my new stock bike maybe I'll just wait for the new Tensile freewheel that Onzaboymark suggested. Ah the hell with it, I think I'll just spend the extra money and get a set of Middleburns and a Chris King hub. Ride on, Deadly venom
  19. Is the lock ring coming off something that happens frequently or is this something that happens every now and then? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  20. Thanks for the info! I was not sure which one was better, from your comments it is clear that the trials freewheel is the better choice. Now all I have to do decide between a regular crank or a front freewheel setup. Both systems have equal pros and cons and this makes it difficult to decide. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  21. I have been continuing my research on trials parts and I have a question about White Industries freewheels. I have read a lot of good comments about the ENO freewheel but what about the trials freewheel? I realize that one has three pawls and the other has six pawls but is one superior to the other? It is hard to tell because most of the comments I have read are about the regular ENO freewheel and not the trials freewheel. Can someone give me the lowdown? Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  22. Felix Muke, Your style and form is excellent!! Your riding style reminds me of the classic Roberta Flack song "Killing me softly." When I get my first trials bike I hope I am able to become that smooth. I have a question about your Raven, why did you switch from the 1100 to the 1065 if you don't mind me asking? The reason why I am asking is because I am thinking about buying the Raven 6.0 1100(that or the Czar Ivan or 2006 Zoo Pitbull). Was it too long or was it ungainly and cumbersome? Any info will be appreciated. Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  23. Ah man, I am contemplating the purchase of 2006 ZOO! Pitbull. These negative comments I have reading makes me a bit hesitant to buy one. I wonder how well the new Czar Ivan rides, has anyone here had a ride on the new Czar Ivan? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  24. The trials frame looks quite nice. But I have to say, I could have sworn that I saw a black version of that stock frame in a video. The bike was featured in a video being ridden by a rider named Peter Bjorkqvist. I don't know for sure if it is exactly the same bike but they look an awful lot alike. Anyway, it does look nice. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  25. mad_gavo, The Czar Ivan is not even close to the cost of a Koxx XTP. Especialy now since the price of the Czar has been reduced. In the U.S. at least, I don't know how much it cost in the U.K. Ride on, Deadly venom
