  1. I don't mean to butt into this conversation but I have a question. Is there something wrong with the rear disc brake on the Monty? You guys sound as though there is something wrong with the rear disc brake. Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  2. Damn those Monty's look hot. Every time I see one I want to go out and buy one. Matter of fact, I think I am going to buy one in the near future. By the way, does it feel nice to ride? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  3. That was good riding there, young man looks like he can handle his bike well. The bike he was riding looked like it was a country mile long. As for his age he does look older than 17. He looks more like 20 or 21. Either way not a bad video. Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  4. Inur, I agree that it was odd to see so little footage of Felix riding. When I first saw the opening of the video I said, "great, Felix v Marcos" but as the movies progressed I was constantly wondering when is all the Felix footage going to come on. It was just little tid bits here and there. In my humble opinion after seeing the past Felix videos, Felix is much better at natural riding than street riding. I am not saying that Felix is bad at street it's just that he seems to excel more at natural trials. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  5. This was a great video! I downloaded it off Observedtrials.net early this morning. That young man Marcos Grosenik has one hell of a bunny hop, I really like his style. The only thing I did not like was that there was limited Felix Mucke footage. Because of this Marcos stole the show. And I also thought the music was a little odd. But all in all it was a good video. On a different note, I have seen several riders riding the Monty mod bikes in videos lately. I think they look hot. But I have read that they are prone to breakage when ridden hard. Or are these just isolated incidents? Is the Monty Mod bike more for natural trials or is it good for both natural and street? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  6. This is the first time I have seen this video, I liked it, nice and chilled out. The rider in this video looks to be quite skilled, I like his style. I like watching videos that have either no music or with music that is more on the tamer end of the scale. Sometimes when one watches a video all one hears is a barrage of death metal or hardcore. Can be a bit annoying sometimes. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  7. I turned 26 this year and I have to say that getting old definitly sucks! Ride on, Deadly Venom
  8. Nice little video! This video reminds me of the old Felix Mucke Vids. Nice and quiet. It is nice sometimes to hear the noises of the bike and the surrounding area. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  9. I must say that he certainly does not have a fear of falling or of anything else. It would have been nice to see some more technical lines in his riding. He mostly just jumped off of roofs and did 180s and 360s. I will say that he certainly does have a lot of nerve. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  10. Thanks for info folks! I was not sure which gear ratio was for natural. What about the Viz logic bar, have any of you tried it? derf, The reason why I am looking at using the ENO on the rear is because of the price of the Chris King hub. The Chris King hub is almost $400 here in the U.S. And besides, from what I have read riders only use one gear anyway even if their using a six gear cassette. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  11. I did a search to find some information on gearing and I found a lot of topics and learned a lot about what gearing ratios people were using. But what I could not figure out was what type of riding they were doing. The people that posted said that 22/18 was a good gear and some said that 20/17 and a variety of others were great gears. But, are these good for natural, street or both? Now, I am looking to use a set Middleburns with an ENO trials freewheel on the rear, would 22/18 be best gear for natural? Or would 20/18 be better? A second question I have is about the Viz Logic handlebar. I did a search and found some information on Viz handlebars but the information was only on the regular Viz Alloy bar. Is the Viz Logic bar a good trust worthy handle bar? Is it prone to breakage? I read some mixed reviews about Viz components but there was so much joking around it was hard to tell if people were serious or not. I have the same question about the new Viz 26" stock forks. Is it a good solid fork? I did find some information on the Viz fork but it was for the 20" mod version. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  12. Becky-x, No, it doesn't make you look like a stupid bimbo. Everyone has to start somewhere. Anzo, After looking at the photos you posted and reading a description it shocks me that you guys would even be slightly intimidated by people like that. The U.S. is packed full of people just like that. Walking around like the own the joint, wearing high priced track suits and sneakers and do not do a lick of exercise. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  13. Well, now I know what "Chav" is short for but, what does it Mean? What is a council house? From reading the posts Chavs' can be spotted by the way they dress. Can someone give me a description on how Chavs' dress? Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  14. I have seen this word "Chav" used a lot on this forum but I have absolutely no idea what the word means. So I have to ask, what in the blue blazes is a "Chav"? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  15. tompeibiketrial, One last question, what is wrong with black spokes? Is there something about the black anodizing? Keep riding, Deadly Venom
  16. narrowbars, Thanks for the info bro! One last question, would it be best to lace the rear wheel 4 cross on both the drive side and non drive?
  17. Come on everyone, some of you have to know if 13 gauge or 12 gauge spokes are just right or too much. And please tell me if the Megamo equip pro can use a derailleur hanger from another manufacturer. Lastly, what is the bottom bracket rise on the pro equip? If it is a little high will it make the bike feel extra small? The reason why I ask this is because I am a little over 6 feet tall and I don't want the bike to feel like a mini bike. P.S. Will a set of cranks with a 22 tooth chain ring fit on this frame with no problem? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  18. luccosleeps, I asked a similar about this frame a little while back. Although I have never ridden the frame to me it seems a bit over priced. I don't know how much it would cost in the U.K. but here in the U.S. the frames msrp is $725 and usually sells from $650 to $670. I am not totally sure but you may be able to get one of those Lesson or Curtis frames for the same price or maybe less. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  19. tompeibiketrial, narrowbars, Thank you for the info! I have one last question, considering the strain that disk brakes put on the spokes should I use very heavy gauge spokes? I know alot of people in trials and bmx use 14 gauge spokes but should I maybe consider 13 or maybe 12 gauge spokes for a disk brake on the rear? P.S. What kind of derailleur hanger does the Megamo Equip pro use? If something happens to it can I use one from Koxx, Echo, ZOO!, or any other derailleur hanger from a current manufacturer. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  20. Narrowbars, Thanks for the info! I plan to use the frame for natural trials only, no street. How long do you think it will last riding natural trials with a 200 pound rider? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  21. Everyone I have some questions about the Megamo 26" Pro Equip dual disk frame. My question is, is this a good frame for a heavier rider that weighs 200 pounds? The reason why I ask this is because I have a chance to buy one of these frames and I want to know if it is good or not. My second question is, is there any history of breakage at the disk mounts or any were else? I have heard that some trials frames have suffered from severe breakage at the disk mounts, has this frame suffered the same fate? I did do a search and found some information but none on this particular subject. Any help will be appreciated. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  22. That color is absolutely horrible, it's enough to blind you. I had to squint my eyes just to look at it. That color is screaming loud, I could swear that I heard it before I saw it. Not good at all just terrible. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  23. I have a question about the threads in aluminium trials frames. Is the stripping of threads a common occurrence? Or is it something that happens once in a while? Ride on, Deadly Venom
  24. DeeZee, Ryan leech is obviously very talented so I am not disputing his abilities. What I am asking is if that frame is really worth the price Norco is asking. The frame just looks a bit old to warrant a hefty $725 price tag. You can get one of those Revell frames for a lot less. Ride on, Deadly Venom
  25. djb, In Canada the suggested retail price for the "Moment" is $859. The suggested retail price for the "Moment" is $725 in the U.S. and sells for about $640 to $650 dollars. It could be more at some online stores. I still think it is a bit much. Ride on, Deadly Venom
